The Jimenez family has had a difficult relationship with Christmas ever since their parents were lost in a terrible accident. Now years later, the youngest tries to capture the essence of the holiday through her inspired winter landscapes. Traveling almost as far north as is possible, a single night under the stars will change everything. With nothing but her keen eyes and paint smeared easel can Anita capture the spirit of Christmas in time for a miracle? Devon Willshire has never worked so hard in his life. As a new intern at the local hospital, he's sleep-deprived, anxious and impatient to become an uncle for the first time. He has no time for love, romance, or silly Christmas traditions. Can a little magic from Mrs. Claus show him that everything he ever wanted or needs is right around the corner? Find out if a precious ornament and dash of magic can help two people find true love.
Danni Roan, born in rural western Pennsylvania, has always loved the country life. Her first work published under her real name, Paula Liddle-Beem, is a collection of folk essays about childhood in the lush, green mountains of PA. Being a teacher of English and English as a Second Language for the past twelve years has only inspired Danni’s love of writing Western Historical Fiction. After receiving her Masters of Education in Teaching English as a Foreign Language she determined to indulge her passion for fiction writing. Teaching both in the USA and abroad has exposed Danni to a wide range of people from all walks of life and she tries to capture that unique character in her work.
Loved this book!!! I especially liked that Pablo finally accepted Devon in Anita's life. It took some doing, but it was done!! Loved how they got together!!
I received a complimentary copy of this book, was not required to write a review, and the opinion expressed is my own.
I truly love how this Author brought back a family that has been through so much heartache and has come out on the other side full of love and laughter. Anita Jimenez lost her parents over Christmas when she was very young. Both of them taken in a tragic accident. Carlos, her older brother raised her and their middle brother Pablo, even though he was barely able to keep it together himself. He did not give up on them. Now married with a baby on the way, Carlos has messaged Anita to come home from Alaska, where she is interning, for the birth of his and his wife Jamie's new son. As she rushed back to the cabin to pack up her things she finds a tiny bear ornament. Thus setting off an adventure! Arriving home, she rushes to the hospital. She purchases a giant bear for her new nephew. Rushing out and towards the birthing center she smacks into a man carrying another giant bear. They literally knock each other to the floor. Devon Willshire is rushing to see his new niece, between his shifts at the hospital. He is immediately drawn to Anita and this will set off a beautiful story of longing and love. Two people searching for love and something lasting will come together amidst family tragedy and build the love they so desire. There is a bit of drama and some magical work from Mrs. Claus! You will truly enjoy this heartwarming story. I received an ARC of this book and am choosing to leave an honest review.
Oooh! Devon is so smooth but he really has no idea just how good he is, which is so endearing. He may be a doctor and confident in his work, but in his personal life he is less sure...until he meets Nita and she brings him to his knees. It is lovely to see Devon embrace his feelings but he does so without rushing or pressuring Nita. I love catching up with the Jimenez family and returning to the Inn. Nita is six years older than when we saw her last and she just as smart and beautiful as she was as a teen, but she has almost finished her degree and is looking towards her future, can that be a future filled with the love her parents shared? The love Carlos and Jamie share? A fantastic addition to the Ornamental Match Maker series, I loved this book.
The Jimenez family's parents were killed in a terrible accident. Now years later, the youngest, Anna, tries to capture the essence of Christmas through her inspired winter landscapes. Traveling north, a single night under the stars changes everything. Devon Willshire, an intern at the hospital has no time for love, romance, or Christmas traditions.
Midwest setting - Michigan. Very good writing. A touch of mystery with a lot of love. Christ in Christmas type of story. Very good.
The beginning paragraphs pull you into the story and it doesn't let you go until you have finished. Mrs. Claus has worked Her magic again with a promise of a future love fir Pablo the third sibling. I love this s series the set would be a great gift or donation to a school library.
Great characters that were easy to like. This was such a sweet romance and the dates were so romantic and fun. I love how much family is part of this story. Read in one sitting, too good to put down! Was given a complimentary copy. All opinions are my own.
Devon- dr internship. Anita- an artist in her last year of college. I enjoyed reading this witty engaging story that is well written with charismatic characters. Their story has an amazing HEA!
I love the Ornamental Matchmaker stories. Each is tied to an ornament, and this one is a bear. A very romantic story with very believable characters. Great story for those who love Christmas romance.
What a wonderful storyline. This series always brings laughter, smiles and even a few tears as Mrs. Claus spreads her special gifts to wonderful couples.
Christmas Magic will warm your heart throughout any season with this sweet enchanting story. Mrs. Claus is at it again as true love flourishes. Highly recommended!
This is a really great Christmas Series and I've really enjoyed every book. I loved Anita and Devon's story and look forward to more books in the series.
Such a beautiful story. Devon is an intern and Anita an artist who collide in the hospital racing to see the new family members in their families and both carrying oversized teddy bears. Previously Anita received a Christmas ornament of a bear from Mrs. Clause. She isn’t the first to receive an ornament and then find love. I love everything about this series. It brings the magic of Christmas alive. Danni Roan did another amazing job.
I love the idea that Mrs. Claus gives ornaments to adults to help them find love. Great story with wonderful characters and a good story line. I enjoyed the story from beginning to end.
Christmas is a magical time and this sweet story takes full advantage of the wonder and romance of the season. I love the family connections as well as the beautiful love story.
