His Story, History and His Secret: Life Through the Eyes of 109 Years Old Otis Grandville Clark

Rate this book
We wrote this book in honor and to celebrate our father and grand-father’s 105th birthday in 2008. He lived until 109 years young. He was a man of adventure and went on a cruise for his 105th birthday and another birthday cruise at 109. He enjoyed his life and lived it to the fullest. He traveled abroad many times to minister the gospel of Jesus Christ. The objective is to tell you Dad’s story or His Story. His story is a derivative of God’s story, which is also His Story meaning God’s story and the History that reflects Dad’s life and the events surrounding it. The number one question Dad was asked is, “What is your secret to a long life?” Therefore, we’ve included His Secret and nuggets throughout the book. The memoir aggregates of past events; and critical times in Dad’s life. The wide range of events occurring is in chronological order leading from the past to the present and even into the future. We have recorded oral history from Dad and narrative description of past events. Our prayer is that the records and interpretations of past events involving Dad’s life is remembered to encourage you to forgive, to love, and to live life to the fullest, and never forget that on God’s side, which Dad says is the winning side!We hope you are blessed, inspired, and encouraged by Dad’s memoir. Dad went home to be with the Lord at 109 years old and full of life. Every day we were around him we were amazed at the things he remembered, said, and did. He was a modern day miracle and a sign and wonder. His mind was sharp. He could state facts, dates, streets, and was a prolific reader. At his doctor’s check-ups they reported he had a heart of a thirty-five year old man. He was not on any medications and had no illnesses. He was a healthy eater, loved the Lord, drove a car, and exercised daily. He was a man who knew how to forgive because he had been forgiven. He saw the best in every situation and was ready to set new objectives and goals in his life or as he often said he kept up with the young people. He followed those who had vision. He always stayed ready for whatever the day may bring. When it was time to go he dressed himself, took pride in his looks and was ready to go.He was an evangelist since 1927. He lived through the 1921 Tulsa, Oklahoma Race Riot, was shot at, went through the Influenza outbreak and delivered medicines to those who were sick. In addition, he went through the Great Depression, and went to the Chicago World’s Fair in 1933, Azusa Street Mission and many other historical milestones he crossed over, visited or went through. Please enjoy as your chronicle through his life, and history. On God’s Side,Dr. Gwyneth Williams and Ambassador Star Williams
