Widowed Anna Tipton is desperate to save the ranch her husband loved, but time is running out. When a handsome young man comes around asking for work, she knows she can’t afford to pay him but when he comes up with an idea of how to generate income, she hires him anyway.
Life has always been an adventure for Jesse ‘JD’ Beckett. He’s had a good career in rodeo but decided to retire while his body is still in one piece. He has his ranch, a business with his brother, and so has no need to work. Yet he is working fixing up cabins on a property his father is interested in purchasing after foreclosure. But now he’s living with lies because from the first moment he sees the beautiful owner, he wants to be near her and help her save the ranch.
Now the lies are piling up even as Jesse and Anna grow closer. Their mutual attraction despite an age difference has him worried she will despise him when she learns the truth. Will it all come to an end with the truth or will she look past the lies and see that love can overcome all obstacles?

What an amazing book this was.

I admired Anna from the moment I met her. She is a hardworking and caring woman. She is just trying to get by and save the ranch she and her deceased husband had together. She isn't someone to give up so she is trying to take the ranch as it is and turn it into something else.

Jesse or JD is a man who is sent to Anna's ranch under false pretenses. Before he can right this wrong, he finds himself working for her and trying to help her vision of the ranch. He offered her options and supported her when she made a decision.

My heart broke for both of them them longer things went on. As a reader, you knew the score and you also knew that these two were both truly wonderful people. You were rooting for them from the beginning and at times you wanted to just shake one and and tell them to just talk.

This book truly shows what an amazing author Mrs. Fisher-Davis is. Even though you knew what JD was doing and also his reasons, you just wanted him to tell Anna so they could get on with their happily ever after. You're heart broke just a little bit each time the conversation was put off because you knew it was going to hurt when it did.

I really hope there are more books in this series!

Anna has been trying to make a go of the ranch she had with her husband, but it's been hard since he passed away. Jesse knows he should have just went on down the road instead of checking out the place for his dad but once he saw Anna, he stayed. What follows is a wonderful story of two people trying to find their way in life and stumbling upon each other. Jesse knows he lied to her but the longer he stays around, the more he wants her. Anna can't believe she is wanting a younger man but Jesse makes her feel things that she never felt with her husband. When the truth comes out, both are hurt and she tells him to leave. Can they eventually make it work? This was such a good story and it even brought on some tears. I loved it. Ms. Davis writes a western romance like no one else and this one is another winner. It was great to see characters from previous books and be able to catch up on what's happening with them. Totally fell for Jesse, I mean, you wouldn't want a cowboy like him? LOL

age don’t matter when it concerns 💕

This story is simple, but I love it, when Jesse‘s father ask him to check on a property thats foreclosure when Jesse arrives people still live in the property,
When one of the workers asked he doing there , he got stuck so he lie , and said he was looking for work Rusty told him he needs to speak to the boss, when saw the boss lady ,he knew he had to get to know her .,well that simple lie grew ,and he almost lost the love of his life. Good 📕📖💯👍🏽

Jesse meets Anna quite by coincidence- he was there to do something for his father and as soon as he sees Anna , he's smitten ! So he pretends to be there for something else , to help her .
Anna is working hard to save her ranch , as she was widowed young .....

Caring!

Jesse: Wonderful Love story! Lots of challenges and surprises. I love all the brothers so much. Each one is special in different ways. It was sad what Anna had gone in her life and even though Jesse lied in the beginning you he loved her so much. It was a great story!

Age is only a number

This is so true age is only a number when it comes to love. Not only do men like younger women. Women can also like younger men. Glad you let people know it works both ways. Beauty and love is in the eye of the beholder. Just don't rob the cradle.

DNF. Same drama as the last book. He’s a man whore and she’s a 40 year inexperienced widow.

Give this older woman, younger man, second chance cowboy romance a chance. See what I did there? Fall in love with the Beckett brothers like I have, you won't be sorry!
