Two years after it was built, it’s time for Alpha Base to welcome new guests. No one could have foreseen the arrival of new ships and old friends would bring unexpected and disastrous consequences.
Georgia Pyke soon has suspicions that the new captain is hiding something from her. As she begins to unravel the secrets, she realizes there’s a far bigger game at play. A game she doesn’t want to be part of with the stakes being human survival on Mars.
As further lies are exposed, what would cause a crew to mutiny against their captain and how far will their loyalty to their new leader go?
With time running out, enemies are forced to work together in an uneasy alliance where there can be only one winner. But who is prepared to sacrifice themselves in order to save the planet from outright domination?
From Paul Rix, the author of the Mars Frontier series, comes a new sci-fi adventure that will keep you gripped until the very last page.

Book Review: “Incursion Book 2 Mars Frontier Series” by Paul Rix The main character, Georgia Pyke, is the heroine of this novel. She displays resoluteness and courage – indeed, a capable and fearless leader! Paul Rix needs to hire a proofreader. There are numerous misspellings, missing words, and grammar errors. I have already begun to read “Relic”, the third of four books in this series. Great reading!
Many of the characters are familiar and behave in cliched ways. Yet, I find the conflicts and actions interesting, and I keep reading, overlooking the flaws. In particular, the numerous typos, grammar mistakes, and omitted words are numerous. A good copy editor pass would make the read so much better.
Currently reading. Am enjoying the series. Unfortunately, book 2 has more typos than book 1 did. I think book 1 had maybe 2, but I have found 3 in book 2 and am only about half way through. I report and correct via Kindle but I don't know if authors ever receive any of that info. Still an entertaining and fun series.
As with the first book in this series, I enjoyed the story and how it’s progressing. There are however many grammatical and spelling errors throughout the book. In some cases incorrect or duplicate words meant o had to re-read some parts a few times to decipher what I’d just read.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout.
Another easy read from Paul. The story flowed well and the characters are developing nicely. There aren’t any slow/unnecessary sections in the book so the story remains pacy and well written. I would highly recommend.
What can I say? Another awesome book! You really know how to write a story! I feel as if I am part of the group, the Americans that is. Now on to the next one. THANKS!
All my second guessing and predictions are wrong. Paul just keeps me bobing when I should be weaving. With other writers, I love figure out what is going to happen before it happens but Paul Rix always seems to have a new twist. Bravo Mr Rix.
A quick run through for errors would make a big difference. I enjoyed the characters and story line. I’m looking forward to the next book in the series
Very compelling story. Might have given it 5 stars were it not for the many typos and duplicate words (see shared list). A better proofreader would have helped.
I was getting tired of the constant setbacks, but the character Georgia intrigued me so much that I couldn't put down this book until I finished reading it.
A really captivating sequel in the events on Mars. Definitely worth buying this book to continue the tale of man's pioneering endeavours on another planet.
The Mars adventure not only must deal with the environment but also betrayal! The Russians and Chinese attempt to take over the mission butt the Americans fight back!
