Maverick West. Reformed bad boy, my new hot AF roommate And…father to my VERY unexpected baby.
Look, this isn’t my dream life. I never planned on being a single mom begging to live with my brother-in-law. And it’s no secret he didn’t want this arrangement either. Fresh off of a broken engagement, he isn’t exactly welcoming us with open arms.
But I can’t help noticing the way his eyes linger on my lips, heavy with lust and a look that says, ‘I’m about to devour you.’ And don’t even get me started on how amazing he is with my son.
I can’t say I’ve been very innocent in this either, With rock hard abs and arms the size of pythons, It’s hard not to imagine ripping his tight t-shirt off his tattooed bod.
I just have to keep my focus so I can get my life back on track, Before my son isn’t the only one falling in love with Mr. Moody and Brooding.
The last thing I need? Catching feelings for my very off limits brother-in-law.
The last thing I expected? To see two pink lines after I gave in.

So, to summarize... I don’t know this author, but this book a Facebook ad and looked interesting. I decided to give it a try and thought it was cute. They have mutual friends and their siblings are engaged. She gets into nursing school and it’s suggested that she move into his “way to big for him” house. She and her son move it. If something had happened at first, it would have been ok, they weren’t together. But instead, the author starts building their relationship, and I start to get invested aOne minute Maverick is saying how she and Grant have “moved into his heart”, and they are a cute little family hanging out. The next chapter they are about to kiss, then WHAM, Grants dad knocks on the door Maverick gets mad takes his keys and goes out and screws his previous f-buddy. There is a paragraph that insinuates she also screwed the Grants dad. Suddenly I’m lost. This situation was the definition of “that escalated quickly”. I’ll be honest, once I confirmed that he did in fact screw the other woman, I bailed. I love variety and can find something to like in most books. I can really enjoy am a-hole book where the guy makes bad choices even. But what I can’t stand is for a book where the guys seems sweet and mr “perfect”, then does something incredible douchy and it’s supposed to be ok because he’s a good guy? No thanks. I like my a-holes to admit that they are a-holes, at least they end up redeemable. This guy pretends to be a decent person but bailed at the first inkling of something he didn’t like (over a guys who will be in the heroines life forever because of their son). If he hadn’t have thrown as hissy fit and headed for the nearest home, she might not have made a bad choice either. What’s to stop him from doing the same thing the next time. I wasn’t thrilled with her choice either though honestly. So basically neither of them are worth rooting for and this story is pointless. It might as well have just stooped there, I can’t buy them as an actual love interest for each other at this point. They had months (before they started their relationship), to make a bad decision. Bailing after they started their relationship is no different than cheating. If they had a future they wouldn’t have been willing to risk it.
You can't help but fall in love with this story. Maverick and Scarlett's story is so sweet. I found myself feeling everything these two go through from the fear and frustration to the love they have for each other. I hate the lack of self confidence Scarlett has in this book that's based on some shady men but I love the confidence she gains with Maverick by her side. Alexis hit a home run with this book and I absolutely cannot wait to read the next book in the series. Amazing job.

Friends, who all originally meet at a bar as strangers, but click turning into each other’s chosen family. You have older brother, Kalum and Maverick. When they are at a very young age, became two of the best at stealing cars, for a chop shop. But when younger brother Maverick has something the FBI needs Kalum decides to do them a favor to protect him, turning them both legit. Now they own two top of the line auto garages. But, both did do prison time.
Two other friends are now married Anabelle an artist and Jaxson who is an owner of a gymnasium with a boxing ring.
Also, in the mix of friends is older sister, Tori and Scarlett. Not totally clear how they both ended up in the south side of Chicago when they are from Wisconsin. However, at some point Scarlett hooks up with Rick a talker and a user. But she thinks it’s love and she gets pregnant by him. Producing Grant. A now, sweet three year old. She is working as an LVN by day and at night a waitress to make ends meet.
Tori her kind hearted yet foul mouthed sister watches him at night. Scarlett is falling deeper and deeper in debt. So, on a whim Scarlett applies for the RN program. Never expecting to be accepted. To her it is a pipe dream. She is accepted, but, so much in the hole, she knows it is never happening for her. Kalum and Jaxson go to Maverick, who to say, is less than enthusiastic, would be an understatement, about their idea of helping her.
You see he has more than enough room at his home, but the home itself is a sore spot. Bitter you might say. But once the guys tell her to go in for the hard sell taking Grant she does. That and chocolate chip cookies. She catches him totally off guard. She found both his week spots a little boy who likes trucks as much as he does, which melts her heart, and he loves her cookies. When at first he says, no by the end it, he is saying, yes.
See the ups and downs off the “Grinch” and “Snow White” living in the same house. The growth and setbacks and then more growths is interesting. Making every girl want a Maverick. This is a Kindle Unlimited free find which I totally enjoyed.
I loved this story. It is the kind that you can identify with the characters and immerse yourself in the story. Very well written and characters to win the heart make this book a must read.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
What a job this author does with her hot alpha bad boys yum. I loved how well the characters are engaging and well developed with enough steamy chemistry that has me hooked from the beginning to the end. Storyline flowed smoothly.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is the 3rd book in the series but it can be read as a stand-alone. Scarlett hasn’t had it easy but she gets a break with Maverick lets her and her son stay with him while she goes to nursing school. Maverick is fresh off a broken engagement and isn’t exactly excited she is there. Soon sparks are flying but what will happen when she ends up pregnant. Fast-paced steamy read with plenty of drama and great characters. An entertaining read.
This is book 3 in the South Side Boys series and can be read as a stand-alone but I suggest you start from the very beginning since you will see all the characters in each book.
Scarlett has had it rough the last few years. She is a young, beautiful, determined, struggling single mother to one of the cutest little boys. When she gets a letter offering her to further her schooling it seems unreachable but when she is told there might be away for her to do it she can’t help get excited. Last thing she was expecting, especially after everything that’s happened to her, was to fall hard for her knight in shining armor. But can she finally take her walks down around her heart and open her eyes to see who is right in front of her??
These two drove me a tad crazy, yet for the most part I understood them and their hurt. I know what it’s like being hurt so badly by a person you loved and trusted and putting walls up around my heart that I never planed on taking down. 🖤🖤
Never Have I Ever Lusted after My Brother’s Fianceé’s Sister
Wrecked is Alexis Winter’s third installment (but able to be read alone) in the South Side Boys story. Maverick and his older brother Kalum are the owners of two successful garages, having been given a second chance at life after spending time in prison for their youthful involvement with a mob chop shop operation. Mav’s ability to circumvent the most sophisticated electronic car protection programs and the mechanical skills of Kal had made them valuable members of a car boosting enterprise. But now, all is good and legal, as the brothers settle into life on the right side of the law. Mav has even moved his residence out of the city and has settled into a large, picture-perfect house that even has a white picket fence and a mother-in-law suite. But the house is too big and empty—the lasting evidence of a love gone wrong and the fickleness of a heartless woman.
Scarlett Brennan is a single mom struggling to make ends meet. While her ex, Ryan, father of her 3-year-old son, Grant, floats in and out of their lives and prison, Scarlett does everything she can to provide a stable, safe and happy home for her son. She is currently juggling two jobs—certified nurse’s assistant and waitress—and is planning to return to college to complete her training to become a registered nurse—a profession that was postponed with her unexpected pregnancy with Grant, but will allow her to have more structured hours and better pay. And, she needs help to achieve that goal because she will need to give up her part-time waitressing job which will require cheaper housing. Her sister Tori and Mav’s brother Kal have the perfect solution-- move in with Mav. To both Scarlett and Mav, the “perfect solution” has more warning signs than an expressway at rush hour, but it does make sense, and the chocolate cookies that Scarlett bakes seals the deal. But no plan is perfect, and this one begins to crack when Ryan, the ex-con ex shows up and wants to “play” Daddy to Grant and partner to Scarlett as Mav watches on, barely controlling his rage which is at war with his desire.
Alexis Winter continues her engaging story of friends who are family seeking their futures, but also discovering love. With strong characters facing the challenges of life, the story is well crafted and the characters complex. In the Epilogue of the novel, one of the children notes that some people think “that family is who’s related to you, but ... that’s not always true. Sometimes family can be friends you love, who you want in your life every day.” That is certainly the on-going message in the South Side Boys series
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review ARCS, but I enjoyed the reading experience so much that I will use my Kindle Unlimited to enjoy this series in my "read-again" titles.
I have enjoyed reading this series, South Side Boys, where decent boys that grew up in the not good part of Chicago get their lives turned around and find the perfect women for each of them. The characters are very well rounded and you get to learn more about them from each story. This story is the third story in the series, which I would recommend that you read in order, but it could be read as a stand-alone if you must.
Scarlett is a single mom who has a hard time saying no to her baby daddy. Ryan, the good-for-nothing sperm donor, is in and out of not only her life and the life of their son but also in and out of jail. When he needs a place to stay, he claims he wants to try again, but he isn't interested in his son, he only wants to have a free place to crash or to hide out. When he gets tired of trying to be in the relationship, he just bolts. Not only does Scarlett work at least one job, but she also wants to go back to school so she can get a better job in healthcare. There is just no way to make all the ends meet to be able to do it. Thank goodness she has her sister Tori on her side to babysit and to talk with. Now that Tori is in a relationship with Kal, it seems like everyone in their group of friends are coupling up. When Maverick, Kal's brother, offers to let her live in his basement apartment free of rent, she would be able to quit one job and go back to school. Then, of course, Ryan has to show up to wreck things between Maverick and Scarlett. Grant, Scarlett's adorable three-year-old son, seems to knows what is going on and who is a good guy and who is not so good.
Maverick is the younger brother to Kal, and back in the day, they would steal cars for the local gang. Mav created software that was able to unlock specialty cars that weren't available yet. After they both did some time, they cleaned up their act and opened an automotive garage. They now have two garages. Some time back, Mav was going to get married so he bought this house out in the suburbs, with a special mortgage that he had to keep it for at least 10 years. Before he could show his fiance the new home, he caught her cheating on him. So now the house has been more of an albatross since he doesn't invite anyone there. When he offers Scarlett the apartment downstairs rent-free, he also gets to know Grant and Scarlett a bit better than just at the bar when the group gets together. He opens up with Grant and likes how Scarlett has put his care first. Then he is starting to fall for Scarlett until her ex shows up.

**This review contains spoilers about the story. I enjoyed the book, the characters and situations are realistic. The story has good pacing and character building and Grant is the sweetest little boy! Stop reading now if you don’t want spoilers!**
Wrecked is Book 3 of the South Side Boys series. It can be read and understood as a a stand alone even though there are references and a lot of overlap with characters.
Wrecked focuses on Tori’s sister Scarlett and Maverick. Scarlett is I happy with where she is in life and wants to go back to school to finish her nursing degree. Finances are tight though for this single mother and it doesn’t look like she’ll be able to manage the extra cost.
Maverick has a big house to himself in the suburbs. He bought it for his ex-fiancée and hates the house. He’s convinced to allow Scarlett and her son Grant to move into the basement so she can go back to school. Before he knows it he’s no longer feeling uncomfortable with them in his space, instead he can’t imagine life without them.
The relationship between Scarlett and Maverick is a rocky one. You expect Maverick to have issues due to the way his last relationship ended but instead it’s Scarlett bringing so much baggage and toxicity into their lives. She resists the idea of them for so long while clinging to her idea of Grant’s ‘real’ father. She keeps allowing a really toxic and dangerous user back into their lives and then uses that situation against Maverick later. As much as I hate it, it really does mirror a real world issue so many face. The lies, uncertainty and constant devaluation are types of emotional abuse that leave Scarlett with scars. It’s no wonder she needs to finally love herself before she can truly believe anyone else would actually want her. The only thing I felt was missing is that Scarlett should talk to a professional. I know talking things out with Tori and other friends and family can help but having that non-judgmental third party to decompress with would benefit her greatly.
What a sweet tale with just the right balance of angst, love, and intrigue. All of our South Side gang is back. Jaxson and Annabelle, Kalum and Tori, Maverick, Scarlet; even Amanda and Ben. They all pull together to help one of their own. I was drawn back into their lives from the first pages. You really care about the characters that populate this book. There is an adorable little boy, chocolate chip cookies, a man you want to strangle, trust issues, and unconditional, if unexpected love. What a book, I loved it! This is Scarlett and Maverick's story. Still nursing a broken heart, Maverick has closed himself off from all emotional entanglements. He is secretly jealous of his brother Kalum and his love for Tori. He wants that, but doesn't see it happening. When Kalum asks him to help Tori's sister Scarlett and her 3 year old son, Grant, by letting them stay with him, his first instinct is to say "No!". In the end he relents. He never expects to fall in love with Grant, and then with Scarlett. Scarlett is a single mom raising her son alone. Grant's sperm donor isn't in their life, until he suddenly shows up after getting out of jail. He always leaves, but he is Grant's father, so what is she to do. Can Scarlett overcome her fear that everyone she loves, leaves? Can Maverick prove to her he's in this for the long haul? Their road to HEA is full of twists and turns, but they will find their way. Come, join Maverick and Scarlett on their journey. Laugh with them, cry with them, love with them. Share their fears, hopes and joys. Watch as they come to realize that sometimes, all you ever wanted has been right beside you all the time. You will love this book. This book can be read alone. I do recommend reading the first two South Side Boys books as well. You will be glad you did. This book contains adult themes and language, steamy sex, and is intended for mature readers only.

OMG this book is so annoying to my emotions right now… I almost didn’t finish it…
Scarlett is like a top; she’s spinning all over the place and has terrible decision making skills, and I just wanna smack her so she will stop!!! Let’s not even talk about her taste in men arrrggghhh 😱.. Scarlett who the hell in their right mind would keep going back to a man who promises you nothing, shows no regard for you or the child you made together wellbeing; and is clearly a danger to you? 😫😫😩😩 Her attraction to “trash humans” had me swearing 🤬….
She’s behaving like a victimized woman; without actually being a victim of any type of domestic abuse! 😵💫😵💫😵😵….. Then there is her inability to get over her not having some fantasy man; Maverick is literally falling in her lap offering her all things fairytale and fanciful.. She seems to reject anything healthy and is in denial about Maverick even when he’s offering her the world... Like b*itch, there is no guarantees in life…..
Grant is so friggin adorable;🥰🥰🥰… Dada Mavrick would do anything to protect his boy.. The thing I loved about this story is that she finally got her act together and realized not all men leave.. The family dynamics and how everyone was so tight knit was great to see. The ending with Grant’s epilogue was phenomenal…. Scarlett herself could have benefited from having some counselling to build up her self esteem issues though….
Overall, Scarlett got the jackpot when it came to family; a hot love and the cutest babies who held them strong..

EXCEPTIONAL, PHENOMENAL, AND FUNNY, this is the MUST-BUY romance of 2019! WRECKED by Alexis Winter is another swoon-tastic tale about the South Side Boys that will knock your socks off and melt your Kindle! With a sensuousness that is off the charts, author Winter envelopes her readers into the romance which blossoms between Scarlett and Maverick, two characters readers have met in previous novels in this South Side Boys series. And without giving anything away, I have to say that the thing between Scarlett and Maverick has the makings of the ROMANCE. OF. THE. CENTURY! And that is no exaggeration! It will make you laugh, cry, swoon, and sigh all in the same chapter, and readers may also experience some aggravation, anger, and arousal while experiencing this wonderful novel. For WRECKED is an experience, sprinkled with just the right amount of angst, kissing, fighting and fun to keep a reader entertained and enraptured with a deep dive into the world of Maverick, Scarlett and their growing group of friends and relatives. I really love the other novels in this series, so I voluntarily read an early copy of WRECKED and this is my enthusiastic, VOLUNTARY, and honest 5+STAR review. WRECKED is one novel for which I would add more stars to its rating if that was possible! Understandably, WRECKED will be placed in the FAVORITES collection on my Kindle! Get your copy of WRECKED today! Happy pages! 😉
Steamy friends-to-lovers story with angst and beautiful moments Scarlett Brennan, 23yo, single mom to Grant and sister to Tori from BROKEN (great book too!) has an envelope that she’s afraid to open b/c her future is in it, or so she thinks… Scarlett’s friends help her in her new endeavor by setting her up to live in Maverick’s mother-in-law suite in his house in the suburbs. Grant’s father, Ryan always seems to pop up and give her a song-a-dance about turning over a new leaf. He’s back and wants to be the partner and father that Scarlett needs. Will Ryan’s reappearance change her feelings? Will this kill this new love between Scarlett and Maverick? This was such a good book, but I must admit my irritation with Scarlett. One minute she’s all-in on their relationship and the next she’s pushing Maverick away. I guess there are women like that. Kudos to Maverick for hanging in there! He is undoubtedly the sweetest guy even though he had a past as a bad boy. The way he interacts with Grant is beautiful. And when Maverick finds Pinterest…so funny! It was a long time coming, with obstacles but they both got the HEA they deserved This was a well-written, fast-paced, angsty, sometimes funny romance and it comes highly recommended. I volunteered to review an ARC of this book through Booksprout.
Scarlett, a single mom, receives a letter that may hold her future in it. Once she knows what the letter intels she’s then placed on another path. However, with this new adventure as well as a rent increase she finds that her friends have helped her to move into Maverick’s mother in law suite. They have a great repport going until there’s a knock at the door and low and behold it’s Ryan, Grant’s father. He has been coming and going every since Grant was born. Will Ryan’s reappearance put a damper on what’s blossoming between Scarlett and Maverick. Will he stay or will he leave again. I love Maverick’s interactions with Grant and how he just loves him from the start. Scarlett I gotta say I respected her in past books but this one uugghh she really really got on my nerves. I can’t believe she’s all in one minute and then turns around and she’s pushing Maverick out of her life THEN she wants him back. I mean I was just disgusted with how she acted towards Maverick and he was amazing. He put up with way more than he should have. I mean I guess there are girls out there that act like Scarlett but that’s just down right wrong. I love their friends and family always good to have them around and then play ‘their’ game. Great Book!!

I absolutely loved this book. This is the third book in the series and is Maverick and Scarlett s story. If you have read the other two, you will know who these two are. Scarlett is Tori’s sister and Annabelle’s friend. Maverick is Kalum’s brother and Jasper’s friend. These three couples are like family than just friends. This was such a sweet story that will hit you with all the feels. These two have not had the best pasts, and while I understand where Scarlett was coming from, I still wanted to smack her upside the head.. Maverick also needed a smack upside the head too. Maverick is living in a home he hates, but likes the quiet that comes with it. He didn’t know what was missing until he let Scarlett and Grant move in with him. They start out as just roommates, but along the way their feelings for each other became more. Will their pasts come between their present and their future? I loved how the story just flowed. The characters are perfectly written and I just loved Grant. He is the cutest little boy.It just goes to show that family is more than just blood, it’s also love.

Scarlett was a single mom working two jobs and studying in an attempt to ensure her young son would have a better life. With bills to pay and her rent increasing she needed all the help she could get. When her sister aranges for her to live rent free in her future brother in-law's granny flat, it was an offer too good to refuse. Maverick had lived alone in the house he had bought for his future wife but when he caught her cheating the wedding was off and now he lived alone. He had not wanted to share his house with anyone but once he met her little boy he could not refuse. This was a romance that started as friendship but soon his admiration for Scarlett grew to something much more. Scarlett and her little boy turned his house into a home and he knew he was ready to make them both his for good. There are some men who should never be fathers, and some me that yearn to be. This was a rewarding read about a couple that find a happy ending with each other.

Second chances do not come often after making mistakes in your youth. Maverick gets his chance with his older brother Kalum owners of two successful garages. Having love and lost at the white picket fence forever after. Maverick is living his life on the right side of the law. Has a gorgeous home on the outskirts of the city. His home has a mother in law house attached. Scarlett, single mother of a three year old Grant. Has two jobs. Trying to go back to nursing school to further her education to provide a better life for her son. Her friend helps her with life by getting her a place to stay and its at Maverick house. As the story progressive Scarlett and Maverick gets close and then pops up the deadbeat dad with his song and dance story of wanting them back. Maverick should have kicked them out of his house so she could see where her life was going but he was there for her to make up her mind and choose him. Another great book by Alexis!! Great job on this book.

ONE TANTALIZING WHIRLWIND!!! Crap on toast! Alexis stacks the layers, gathers the parcels and masters the passage, forging ahead, busting this baby wide open. Producing well rounded scenario's, revving up the anticipation and adrenaline, with such intensity and precision, blazing this bad boy to life spectacularly. Bumbling through the trials and tribulations, along with thrilling twists and sleek turns, grounding in it's strength and awe inspiring in it's depth. Sparks fly as chemistry sizzles while drama, intrigue and suspense ensues in epic proportions. Add turmoil and distress and you have the recipe for one incredible ride. The personalities are well matched and balanced with enough flaws for diversity. The scenes are strikingly sharp with such colorful descriptions it gives you a full understanding and realism that flow smoothly. Awesome job Alexis, thanks for sharing this incredible jewel with us.
Maverick wants nothing to do with having Scarlett & her son sharing a house with him as he was burned by his fiancee years earlier. It didn't take long for these two to worm their way into Maverick's heart & tear down the walls surrounding it. However, Scarlett is scared in taking a chance in being happy with Maverick. He wants to be her protector, be a family & to spend the rest of his life being by her side. I really liked this story-line as it can apply to today's society with single moms, a young boy who needs a strong father figure (not a deadbeat biological dad) whom he can look up to & learn to grow up as a fine young man. I liked how being well-off with money & having his own business isn't something that would change their little family. Their love for each other is priceless & rich!

Oh Gosh. The relationship between Maverick and Scarlett developed so organically, that I was left crying at the end of it because it's such a feel-good, emotional story for them. They're both dealing with their own insecurities but they sneak up on each other in the best way possible. Lets not forget that Grant plays a big role here and I fell in love with Scarlett's son from the first page. There are moments that Scarlett just had me about to climb the walls from frustration and her inability to see what she had in front of her. Even after she says she wouldn't let Maverick go if he was hers, she has trouble doing that. But lets just say that Maverick is my favorite South Side boy now and I am sad to see the story of this trio end. I only hope Alexis Winter has more stories up her sleeve.
You won't regret picking this up. It's funny, sweet, hot as sin, and just downright perfect!

Third book in this wonderful series and it is fast becoming a favourite for me We have met Maverick and Scarlett in the other books in this series but finally they get their own story
Scarlett is a single mum to a young son Grant and things haven't been easy for her but now she has a chance to further her education setting her up for a better life but can she do that financially Her sister Tori husband Kallum asks his brother Maverick can she live in his home (it has a separate suite) so that she can afford to do it. Maverick has closed himself off romantically he had his heart broken and even though he wants what his brother has he can't see it happening to him That is until a single mother enters his life and shakes everything up Can they have a future together You will have to read to see
What a sensationally heartwarming friends-to-lovers and single mom romance with so much heart, angst, and insecurities. Scarlet is a struggling single mom who continues to hold a candle for her deadbeat baby daddy for her son's sake. Maverick is a mechanic who has never wanted a relationship for fear he will screw it up. As feelings begin to mount between these friends turned roommates so do insecurities and fears. Wrecked is a captivatingly emotional new book from Alexis Winter filled with heartache, insecurities, fears, friendships, family, passion, and love. Readers will fall in love with this well written drama and wonderful characters. I absolutely loved this book and I can't wait for the next book in the series.

I love Maverick! I actually liked Scarlett, as well. Just a little irritated with the way she felt comfortable handling their relationship when Maverick came out of a situation where a woman did to him, what she did on several occasions when she felt scared. She felt the way she did based on the way men had treated her, but didn't consider that Maverick could feel the same way. Plus, she had so much help, he provided her with more than the basic needs and provided her with the ultimate living comfort conditions. Just irritated with the way she handled a couple of situations, but I did like the story. This book was also nice and funny here and there throughout and this family and friends scenario is fantastic. The "epilogue" was terrific and I am so ready for the next book.
Maverick was so sweet loving. He did not let his past hinder happiness. I loved it when he first met Grant when he said "who could say no to this little guy" or something like that. I knew then he was hooked. Scarlett got on my nerves waiting for the "sperm donor". She had a good man right there in the house with her. Tori was telling her the truth about him from the beginning. You have let people discover the truth on their own. Tori was my favorite character in all three books. Although Grant pronouncing truck was hilarious. Loved all the friends and their parents. I don't remember Jaxson's mom being at the Thanksgiving dinner. I don't remember us ever being introduced to her in the first book. Loved Grant's epilogue. So sweet. I enjoyed all three books.
Matt is so convinced that he likes being alone and will never marry and have a family. When his brother and friends convince him he should let Scarlet and her son move into the apartment in his house everything goes wacky. There are a great set of characters that make up the family of Maverick and Scarlet and keep the story interesting and entertaining. Scarlet has been let down so many times by men she has a real problem trusting Maverick. They goe through some twists, turns and surprises in their relationship but that is what keeps the pages turning. Poor Maverick could suffer from whip lash the way Scarlet changes back and forth. finally after one last breakup Scarlet decides that she trusts Maverick and they find their happy ending.
Scarlett has had a very rough life when it comes to commitment from men. She has the cutest little boy Grant who has a father that is definitely a douche bag and a POS. Scarlett needs to start over in order to go to Nursing school but works 2 jobs to meet her bills and that will be harder since her rent is also going up. Enter, her sister and friends......then Maverick enters the picture. He is everything she has ever dreamed of but because all her other so called boyfriends have left when things got hot and heavy, she thinks Maverick will do the same thing because at first he didn't want her living in his house. This book is definitely a very good read with a HEA,

Amazing & beautiful love story with lots of drama. Oh my word I just loved this book I couldn't put it down. Scarlett & Maverick's story had me laughing especially when they were with their Tori, Kallum & their friends but then It also had me welling up at times. I really felt for Maverick when Grant's low life of a dad came back on the scene & Scarlett took him back she got me all mad at how she could pick that low life Ryan over the perfect Maverick. At times I didn't think they would get together & be a happy family so was desperate to finish this book to find out. This is a series that I will definately be reading again & am already desperate for the next book.
