A millionaire entrepreneur’s suspicious, near fatal car accident pitches a family divided by conflicting values into a battle with an unethical corporate competitor over who controls an innovative product developed by his company. But retaliation by the losers may destroy the company for all. Curt Jennings, a self-made millionaire, and Laura, his wife of three months, are critically injured when his new Ferrari’s brakes fail causing them to plunge off the Pacific Coast Highway. Who should be removed first from life support creates a complex legal case over who inherits control of Jennco, his successful technology company. Attorney Jason Burke takes the case at the request of Allison Dahlstrom, Laura’s sister and Burke’s former lover. As Jennings’ family is distracted by his children’s divergent individual values, his new wife and stepson, and ambiguity in his will who he intended as beneficiaries, Jennco’s management is in disarray. Louis Hartwig, the unethical, narcissistic CEO of a competitor, concerned Jennco threatens his company’s market dominance, schemes to acquire Jennco’s proprietary, innovative technology from a company struggling without its visionary leader. And he will take whatever actions necessary to succeed, whether ethical and legal, or not. As the legal conflict over who inherits control of Jennco works its way through the courts, winners and losers begin to emerge. And perceived failure of unwarranted entitlement causes some to take actions adverse to all. Actions with deadly consequences that could bankrupt the company Curt Jennings built from the ground up.
