This was a good read that I liked. Veronica Tyler is a successful nightclub owner who doesn't want any trouble and it comes in the form of Aiden Lawrence and is brother. Aiden wants her but he knows that his world is too dangerous. This was a good read Aiden came off as weak but he was loyal to his brother. Veronica was tough she had too be the way she grew up. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading the next book.

i am shocked that there are only 2 reviews??! i see it did come out on Feb 2019. total newbie to Lia Ellison, and i will read the other book in this duet, i am curious??! KU if you have that. love the cover. a duet. do u think that maybe it is 'cause of negative reviews?? that folks are kind of shying away, i wonder??! It had it's moments
The book had it's moments when I really liked it but it also had too many things that bugged me quite a bit. Aiden came off as weak to me. I get being loyal to family and all but there's just a point when it crosses a line and for me personally, he crossed some lines in his past. Veronica had a tough life and was acting on survival but everything between her and Aiden seemed to move a bit too quickly to seem real. The story definitely had a good plot and potential but it just didn't have what it takes to get me to buy the second book.

Sorry dit was echt slecht en te snel. 1 blik en ze waren al bijna geobsedeerd door de ander. en dan kidnapped zijn broer haar. Je kent hem niet en dan doen ze het ook nog onveilig. Het had ook prima in 1 boek gekund aangezien alles toch zo snel gaat

I am at a loss for words after reading this book. The story line was exceptional and well written. The characters were original. I cannot wait to begin book 2.

Cliffhanger Love Situation
I enjoyed Veronica's character (the strong woman thing). Carter's character was very convincing.... cause I hated him like nobody's business!
