Cute, clean story about a mail order bride and an eager groom...until she shows up with her son (who had not been mentioned previously). The H held onto his anger and disappointment for a year! She attempted to earn his forgiveness and sincerely worked at making their family and financial situation better.
The H grew to love and adore the son and he also grew to love and appreciate his wife.

I love mail order bride stories , plus very fond of the authors,Katie Wyatt & Kay Carson , so this was a delight for me .... a strange sort of story , but engrossing & delightful ! Margaret started out in the wrong foot , by not telling John that she had a son that she would be bringing with her ! Then, strangely , their land was not making crops ! Lots of problems !!! Great book ....

Real forgiveness. She did not tell her husband to be that she had a son. Her husband had died. She wrote to him for awhile, but never mentioned her son. When he met her at the station, he saw her with her young son. He accepted and married her, but did not talk to her about what she did not say in her letters. Could he ever forgive her
