Hot Cop Boxed Set

Rate this book
For the first time, both Hot Cop and P*rn Star are available in one boxed set.
You have the right to remain sexy.

Anything you say can and will be used to get you in my bed.

You have the right to use my body to give yourself a delirious, life-changing orgasm.

Livia Ward wants a baby before she’s thirty. And she wants it the old-fashioned way—by having as much sex as it takes with a man she’s hand-picked to make up the second part of the equation. What she doesn’t want is a boyfriend.

Officer Chase Kelly is exactly the kind of cocky jerk this librarian has sworn off, but he is undeniably hot. And he’s better in bed than Livia ever expected her baby daddy to be. It’s trouble from the start, but her deadline is rapidly approaching.

Both of them think they can give each other what they want--a few nights of fun for Officer Kelly, a no-strings baby for Livia--but this hot cop is about to learn that sex, babies, and love don’t always play by the rules.

You know me.

Come on, you know you do.

Maybe you pretend you don’t. Maybe you clear your browser history religiously. Maybe you pretend to be aghast whenever someone even mentions the word porn in your presence.

But the truth is that you do know me.

Everybody knows Logan O’Toole, world famous porn star.

Except then Devi Dare pops into my world, and pretty soon I’m doing things that aren’t like me—like texting her with flirty banter and creating an entire web porn series just so I can get to star in her bed. Again. And again.

With Devi, my entire universe shifts, and the more time I spend with her, the more I realize that Logan O’Toole isn’t the guy I thought he was.

So maybe I'm not the guy you thought I was either.

*Includes Logan O’Toole’s Tools of the Trade as a bonus.

Super hot reads!

Separately, these books are fabulous! Together they are phenomenal! My phone melted with the heat coming off the pages as I read both books. I had to Fan myself multiple times while reading them! Loved the cop and librarian especially!

I found this book on sale at Amazon via Bookbub; this is my honest review.
TRIGGER ALERT: Details of attempted rape and mentions of other ones too without details.

My big star off was because I'm not too inclined to read filthy stuff for 700 pages. Give me 100-150 pages and that would be okay/enough for me. It's like they are trying every Kama Sutra positions.

1. Hot Cop:
-I didn't like Megan at all - she's Chase's sister. She drops her kids without notice. It's not because he's single that he doesn't have any plans. And when time comes for Livia and Chase to have their own babies only HER experience counts. She's a knows-it-all and super-bossy, just like a bully.
-Livia is a drama queen when she decides to sell her condo because she doesn't want to be near Chase.
-I really like the premise of the story. I thought it was a fun read. It's still an erotica romance so there are many open-door scenes and unlike many of the same category there's actually a story that makes sense.

2. P*rn Star:
-I thought the exhibition was quite a view. My first thought was "wow".
-I really liked the definition of missionary; who says it's vanilla? It's intimate, skins are touching everywhere; you can see each other's expressions or unspoken thoughts.
-This story, up until ~75% is really sad, especially concerning Julie. Nothing good comes from her. I'm wondering what happened when her Tweets didn't happen. Shame on her anyways; it's her fault.
-I really loved the end, when Dwayne finally woke up and made some sacrifices. Devi did too. Ends on a sappy note but it's all good.
-This one is more p*rn than erotica; the s*x is mixed up with their lives and romance and appears everywhere.

There were a few places where I had to LOL because of the stupidity of what was being said or thought such as "a man should ejaculate often to improve motility" - you're shooting blanks... Or when "all units are called in because a senior is causing disturbance" - we're talking "senior" here not Incredible Hulk. Why would you call ALL units?

I totally did not expect to like this. I don't like cops. I don't find men in uniform sexy. And I repeat, I DO NOT like cops. I hate them. They scare the shit out of me. (Don't be an ass and take this as I am anti-cop. I'm anti-cop sex.) I am not a badge bunny. I have no desire to play "hide the night stick".

To quote the book: "He’s a cop and somehow that triggers something automatic in me. Who doesn’t get worked up when approached by a police officer after having just broken the law, even a minor law?" Exactly.

However, I do like Laurelin Paige. Everything the woman has done, I've gobbled up. Sierra Simone? She's iffy for me. But Paige, that woman has me hooked.

It was hilarious, hit home for me in so many areas, and the sex was hottttt. hot. hot.

In regards to Porn Star, though:

I love Laurelin Paige, Simone not so much, but then again I only read Priest, so....

This book fell so flat for me. I just can't read about porn stars. I love porn, don't get me wrong, but I can't read about them falling in love and continuing to bang other people. Which was kinda the point of the book, but it made it hard to get through THAT part of it. And Logan? He was so wishy-washy to me.

Shame really, because until now, Paige is a mostly five star author for me. There's a few fours in there, but she wrote two of my favorite series, so the fives reign supreme. Hell, she even made me rate a cop book 5 stars. And I fucking hate cops. Paige is just auto-buy for me. Luckily this came out so long ago that I got this one for free.

However, I'm all listening to Layla on repeat now...
https://youtu.be/ZtxO1gwbHPQ

Gem of a fucking quote: “You can. I want you to. My safe word is Donald Trump.” Logan freezes. “What?” I smile, trying not to giggle. “It’s a really good safe word, isn’t it? I’m proud of it.” “It definitely puts a damper on any thoughts of sex.”

Two for One....

Review for Porn Star..

Logan should have known he was playing with fire having feelings for a woman in his trade. Nope. He wanted a committed relationship with Devi and continue with his porn lifestyle. Even though, Devi is also in the trade, at last she left and went back to college. Good thing Logan got his head out of his ‘you know what’, and they live happily ever after.

Review for Hot Cop...
I didn’t get why Livia had to denigrate herself so much because she almost thirty. Women in their forties have children these days, and she could have gone for artificial insemination. It is a good thing Chase was up to the game, and of course they got attached. Nothing about making babies can be that clinical or unemotional.

I'm really sorry to Sierra Simone's book, I couldn't make it that far - so maybe this review is unfair. I'm not someone who hates pregnancy tropes, but I abandoned Hot Cop at 10% or something. I just....couldn't. The heroine is so immature I wouldn't trust her with my dog. There are lots of reasons for people to want a baby. The whole set-up here is that the heroine LITERALLY thinks she is going to die at 30. Her life is over, and there is no existing afterwards. And the tension is she can't go on a date because "men don't stick around." Just, what. Maybe 24 year old Jen could have handled this, but 34 year old Jen thinks this woman is TOO STUPID TO LIVE. I'm thinking men don't stick around for this woman because she's a drama llama and you can only put up with so much.

Amazing

I saw this book advertised as being on sale and I’ve enjoyed both authors before. They do fantastic together.

There were a few parts where the female characters were a little annoying in the start of the book not sure of themselves especially livias obsession with dying etc but as the characters learned to live a little and matured I fell head over heels in love with them. If you find the same keep reading because it is so very worth it

I enjoyed both stories, Hot Cop a bit more than Porn Star. With this box set specifically, I bought the Kindle edition and the way this was packaged on this platform was well done. It also includes a bonus scene from Hot Cop, which was nice to have. All in all, this is a great way to get all these stories in one place, plus I'm sure this is probably slightly less expensive than buying the books separately.

Hot Cop Boxed Set

Though I enjoyed the set, I thought all stories would focus cops. Only the first one does. Consequently, the story of Liv and Chase is my favorite. The second story was about the porn industry. I liked the choices the main characters made.

Hot cop / Porn star

Oh wow I can't decide which I liked more! There is not a bad thing I can say and not enough good words to write. Enjoyable light reading fun and engaging.
