L.S. Bergman is a British-Caribbean writer of woman-centered adult Afro-Caribbean romantic fiction. Her writing has dipped into multicultural historical fiction, with her release 'Becoming Bessy', but remains focused upon the diversity of the black diasporic experience.
It amazes me how much I love and truly adore Christmas stories. They bring out the joy of the season and the chance to live vicariously through these lovely characters as they traverse each relationship. In this story we got the chance to witness another Simmons find an interesting companionship partner. Astrid Simmons was meant to have the adventure with Terrence. She'd stalked him enough that he knew her intentions. And I loved the way he accepted the challenge to see where life took them. A delightful treat for the season.
Although I’m a little behind, that’s okay because I like Christmas year round!! I absolutely loved this story on Astrid and Terrence! I loved his boldness and her living her best life until she couldn’t! Their chemistry was just…Wow!! This was a short story but definitely packed to Its brim!! Kudos, Liz!! 💜
Warm, sweet, and refreshing. I dig L.S. Bergman's voice a lot-- she creates a mood with her music references, which I love. She also has her own voice and way of telling a story, which I super love. Great quickie read for the season.
