Ok read BUT

First I will start by saying this book ends at 77%. UGH I hate that for one it's a short book to begin with, well ending at that percent makes it REAL short. Sorry but that is a pet peeve of mine. To new from 77 to 100% isn't reading and considered just stuffing to fill the rest of the pages.

Now about the story it was a very quick sleep together 2nd meeting in her car than they are in love.

Loved this short romance from beginning to end. Hemi and Cece have a bit so great past. But Hemi is hooked right from the start when she walks back into his life. This book is a fast insta romance and you can’t help but fall in love with these two.

Yes, this was a very short read, but I like to rate according to my entertainment level and I really enjoyed this story. Sometimes short and sweet is better than long and drawn out. I must have been in the mood for this sweet couple with a fairytale like theme.

The cute lighthearted blurb for this book was the hook for me. Cece was back in her hometown moving on from a bad ex, and lovingly raising her daughter. I thought her friend Ella was hilarious and just the right person to help Cece get out more. Burned by her past relationship and determined to move on, Cece was not prepared to be hit on by Hemi and was definitely not expecting to like it as much as she did.
I liked the way the author had them both changing their names which hinted at their changed personalities as well. Dane was now Hemi and Celeste was Cece.
Although short, this romance had all the feel goods that I enjoy. Cece was subjected to a selfish, self serving, entitiled husband for seven long years and endured his controlling and demeaning treatment, but she was nobody's victim. I loved the way she stood up for herself when Bruce demanded to see their daughter. It was also great that Hemi was there to witness her strength and stayed to protect Cece if needed. Kudos to the author for packing so much into this short and sexy read!

Cece just moved back to her hometown with her daughter Skye after a messy divorce when she gets reintroduced to Dane or as he’s going by now Hemi. Hemi stole Cece’s car In high school now he’s making it his mission to steal her heart. I really enjoyed this book. I liked how Hemi was in it for the long haul right from the beginning and her having a kid didn’t bother him at all. I even liked his reason for stealing her car. I can’t wait to read more about her best friend. If you enjoy bad boys who melt for their woman then this is the book for you. I loved his relationship with her daughter. The epilogue was good too. I definitely recommend.

This is my first book by Brynn Hale and it definitely won’t be my last. Hemi is the perfect story of a protective Hero that started bad in the past but has redeemed himself. CeCe is the smart, beautiful, curvy, and brave heroine that I love to read about. Put them together and you have this story that will put a smile on your face and make you take breath over the steam they create.
Brynn has definitely gained another faithful reader with this little gem

Loved the book it was great, the story was well written and the characters are interesting. For such a short story it was full of surprises and I could not get enough. Hemi and Cece both changed their names and the attraction for each other had changed. Cece hated Hemi he stole her car when they were younger. Then Cece got married to an a**hole only to go back to her home town to start over with the help of her friend.

This is my first book by Brynn Hale and it definitely won’t be my last. It is a well-written short insta-love romance with an alpha man and curvy woman. These characters are well-developed for a short story and you fall in love with them. The chemistry is instant with these two and the story flows smoothly and is great sweet story. A Must Read HEA with no cliffhangers.

I enjoyed Hemi & Ceci coming together finally especially after their past history. This was a great instalove second chances story. Their chemistry was of the charts and the HEA was wonderful. Cant wait to read next book in series with Ceci's best friend Ella.

This was a great read by Brynn Hale. It was a very short read but it told a great story. After Cece moved back to town with her daughter after her divorce the last thing she expected was to connect with Hemi. Dane now goes by Hemi and he is not the same guy she knew in high school and he is determined to show her they belong together. Great new series!

Second chances

This first book in the series and I loved it. CeeCee had first known Hemi when they were in high school. Now that her life has changed and she has moved back home and they meet again will this be there chance at forever. I love the book and the protectiveness that Hemi had for Ceecee

Super cute quick read!

Cece is a divorced single mom that has come home to open a business. She was burned by her controlling ex and she doesn't want a repeat. Hemi sees her and his interest is renewed. He stole her car in high school to get her attention. The ex shows up and it's ugly. Don't worry, Hemi can fix anything! Sweet ending!

This book focuses on Celeste (CeCe) Rollins, a divorcee, with a daughter, Skye. Her ex still makes her life miserable. The bad boy is Dane “Hemi” Drake, part owner of a automotive repair shop. These two knew each other in high school and then went their separate ways until Destiny brings them together. To find out what happens, you must read this book.
This is a quick read. Ms. Hale masterfully uses literary devices such as dialog, descriptive language and a dual POV to move her plot along. As the first book in the series, she takes time to introduce a bunch of integral secondary characters. I enjoyed this second chance romance.

Nice Read

This was a short, sweet and a nice read. Hemi may have done wrong in the past but the future looks good for him since Cece has come back in his life. This has the alpha male and a happily ever after. Looking forward to reading more from this author

Usually come with certain issues like underdeveloped plots, everything is rushed and insta. This quick read was all that plus a little over the top in descriptions of sex and feelings. No plans read any more of this series.

I’ve really like the last series I read of hers with the virgin mountain men. This one was ok but just didn’t feel as good as those other ones. Cute, fast easy read.
