They claimed a book full of examples and charts, and such nonfictions always catch my attention.
As I mentioned just now, the author Alka has divided the content into small chapters. Every topic is properly described. And to keep readers' attention intact, she has highlighted bullet points. Short stories accompanying these chapters keep interest quotient high. Alka has shared multiple experiences from her life, which give you proper examples of what she is trying to say. And at the end of each chapter, you will find an exercise to rewind the topic. In short, properly planned and engaging content awaits its readers.
In today's competitive world you will find hell lot of negativity around us. Alka has strictly asked readers to stay away from this negativity. To cling to positivity to sail your life's ship is one of the major learning from the book. Overall a short read. Lucid flow & easy language made the book an ideal pick for beginners. The regular readers may find it slightly below their expectations, but I still found it better than the so-called self-help being sold by some bestselling authors.
I have been seeing the author Alka Dixiit's earlier book on Instagram and wanted to read it but as soon as her new book released I picjed this one up.
'Chase your dreams' is a non fiction self help book on how to use and train your thoughts to change our destiny and realise our dreams. The book is written in a very simple language. It has lots of examples, anecdotes and stories interspersed with relevant prose. Each chapter ends with an exercise that helps people practice the principles enlisted in the chapter.
I liked the title of the book but the cover could have been more eye catching. The blurb explains the details of the book really well. The examples and stories used were quite relatable.
I recommend this book to newbies in the self help genre or beginners in reading and want to read a simple book for inspiration and motivation. If a person is an avid reader of the genre and has read other books on similar topics then the book may not add much value to them.
The book can be really helpful if you are focused on implementing the exercises.

From her characterisation of an empath to describing negativity and other emotional issues, author has done a good job of understanding emotions and writing about them in less analytical and more real time examples.
The book is divided into three Parts, which are further divided into various chapters of shorter lengths so that you don't get stressed out reading about any single topic.
The author, has used various examples from her patients, friends and including her real life to explain her points in the book, which contributes to the simplicity of the book. This non-fiction self-help work by Alka Dixit is a commendable collaboration and every section has a call-to-action in form of exercise which boost the reader to take action without wasting any time.

Negative and positive thoughts are part of our thinking process, it also depends upon our social environment and our upbringing too. So just by choosing a simple path of positive thoughts we can achieve great success in personal and professional life. This book talks about human behavior and psychology of people, how can be change our life with some simple tricks. My Opinion:
I have read a few self-help books before this and I must say this that the author has touched a different topic and has given some very useful and practical tips. There are times when we go through stressful situations and author has given steps to control the same with some simple procedure.
As we all know that self-help books can be very intimidating with highly technical language but the author has used simple language which make it really easy for people who are reading self-help books for the first time.
I also liked the fact that the book is very interactive in it’s own self and the author has also included some flowcharts which helps us to get the summary of a topic at one go. The book also contains exercises which tells us or gives a gist of the whole chapter. The book also contains real life stories where we get to see how people have fallen to their thoughts.
Overall, it was a nice book which will surely help the readers and will give some practical and doable tips. It is not just a one time book but the readers might have to refer it at times so that they can actually implement the tips in their day-to-day life.

The author Dr. Alka Dixit is a practicing doctor and faculty in a medical college. She has poured her knowledge and experience into compilation of this book that guides people to live a happier life by controlling their thoughts and dreams.
Categorising the book into non fiction genre is meaning rather the book is more of a guide. The book consist of well research structured content along with exercises at the end of every chapter and a flow diagram after every section. The book is classified into three parts namely: A. Train your mind B. Face the storm C. Change your life The concepts that are explained in the book are not boneless spiritual sermons instead it contains psychological facts and theories. The concepts like strategies of dealing with verbal nastiness and 5 points full proof plan for difficult situations are my favourite and I am looking forward to imbibe them as well.
The book is not like any boring psychology textbook but it consists of various life incidents and stories explaining theories. The book has n-number of quality contents but there are a few debatable points and queries as well. Overall anyone would definitely feel relieved and motivated after reading the book.
P.S.- My suggestion is to go slow with the book and inculcate the Mantras in your real life.

The book has three parts; Part A explains how to train your mind, Part B explains how to face the already coming storm and Part C explains how to chase your life dreams, which pretty much sums up everything that title suggested and it also made the title relevant.
The cover is bright and perfect. Language is easy to understand and pace was good. The thoughts that we must adapt are explained with the help of lots of stories, which is a great idea and narration of all of them is good.
The beginning of the book is easily digestible for all but as the book progress, in some chapters, psychology is at a deep level, which isn't for everyone. However examples are from almost every field of life which makes it relatable and easily understandable for everyone.
At the end of each chapter, there are exercises mentioned but I would rather call them 'Summary' or 'To Remember' points from the lesson. Also, a little finesse in editing is needed.
What I liked about the book is with so much simplicity, the author explained some difficult things. At the end of each section(part) there is a flow chart which is to the point and helpful.

The book helps me a lot to ease my problems in some way and I am really thankful to the author for her Great work, Her researches, her studies. I personally think the author did social work for readers by writing this book as everyone of us have some or other Problems to deal with each and everyday If its not the problem than our Negative thoughts will lead our lives to face many problems. In this book Author explains each and every single problematic conditions we face in our day to day Life. I feel so relaxed after completing this book and found that every problem has its own solution, taking stress is not the solution for any problem.
The book starts with a moral story which i really like in this book. The story tells that how our thoughts and emotion changes multiple times according to the situation we face. Further book is divided into 3 Parts. Part A explain us that How to train your mind, Part B explain us How to face the storm which is already coming, Part C explains How to Chase your Life Dreams. Thoughts to change your destiny - normally I don't believe in such things but the cover page was impressive. The very first story on the book (father his sons and the burning house) was enough to purchase the book.
Through the book the author tries to explain how to manage the hiccups in our way to success. Author first introduces the situations which turns to a crime/problem in the present world through few short stories, later moves to encourages the readers to tackle them and starts preparing us to a heathy mind and thought.
In the first part the author tries to train our mind to think positive, not to judge people, overlook people but don't let go your self-respect. In the second part the author prepares the readers to face the situation (many a times bad situation) and prepares is to tackle it. In short he asks us not to avoid/runaway from the situation. In the third and final part the author reminds the readers the limited time we have in our life encourages us take it as a blessing and start moving towards the positive desires in our life.
There are two things I found very interesting in the book -
1. The exercise at the end of every chapter is very helpful. 2. The stories in the book are super cool. There are stories one can connect to the present time, some are a bit old, some of Akbar Birbal yet others of God's and Goddesses. Loved the blend of stories.

JUST BRILLIANT
I have read a lot of books on personal development and self help, most of them they are useless. But This book is largely based on the approach to manage the many hiccups that come in our way to Success. We should realize and knowledge those crises to work on them and thus create our destiny. This however is a true gem It is a joy to read there is a lot of information imparted in the book and has plenty of interesting tales and case studies to make the book flow perfectly. whilst imparting the necessary wisdom was quite an inspiring but challenging read. Also this book contains so many inspirational incidents. Not only have I achieved them but I did them in record time with unbelievably high marks. Great Psychological book is how many of the idea in the book could be used in our life.
Opinion:
I have found this book really useful when making a conscious effort to worry less. Very easy to read. It shows how a lot of worries are unnecessary. Just get out there and enjoy life.
