A very good all-in-one type of book. It could pull the weight of probably 8 or 9 books in my library. In fact I still sometimes go back to reference this book even with access to other more specialized books. It's a good starting point if you're just getting into art and don't want to spend a lot of money on a bunch of books all at once. If you don't understand something in this book, you can get something more specialized, but in most cases you wont need to. And when you do need that type of knowledge it would be much later down the line. Which is why I think this is a good book to have in your library until the time comes that you need more.

A deep dive into fundamentals for artist. Great resource, but a bit too high level for a beginner artist like myself.
