I absolutely enjoyed this book! This was one story I didn’t know I needed until I read it. It’s filled with twists and turns and an ending wrapped up in a perfect bow. I’ve developed a deeper appreciation for the legend of Bigfoot. I’m actually now quite fascinated and need to know more about this legendary creature. If you’re looking for a book to take you outside your comfort zone, take you on a wild adventure filled with twists and turns and one that will leave you with an appreciation of all creatures….pick this book up!

Reviewed from Facebook for author

Okay so I originally started this book because the author had posted in a Facebook group I was in wanting to know if people liked her book. I rarely write reviews and It's not my usual read but I set out to read this to give an honest unbiased rating to help the author. I am going to be as descriptive as i can throughout this review and hopefully it will help the author. So first off the beginning was a little boring to me but I understand that background on the couples is needed, about 30ish pages in though it picked up for me and sucked me into the book. Maggie goes missing from the trail and is captured. I will Try to not give spoilers but I love the curiosity and not being able to figure out what is wanted right away. I really liked how she describes the big foot characters and gives them their own names, I could imagine if there is a creature like the big foot that the smell would be disgusting and hard to stomach so I like that there's enough reference to that to show it definitely would be hard to stomach to humans. There is also a hierarchy in the kidnapping as well which even in kidnappings with humans there's always someone in charge and others submitting, so that layered element I appreciated because it sucked me in further to want to figure out the dynamic, even without them being able to speak actual words the way the author describes everything you can feel what the setting and thoughts are. I was confused about why they were kidnapped, but I get the appeal because so many people just go missing without a trace. I do wish there was some understanding of what was wanted I guess. And why take multiple. All in all I did enjoy the book and read it in 1 sitting. The ending I definitely didnt expect but I think it was pretty cool how it did end. All in all I want to rate it a 5 to help the author but it just isn't a book I could read over and over or a life changing book so I rated accordingly and as unbiased as possible. I do recommend as a light read for someone who doesn't want a story line that has been done a bunch, or something that takes alot of effort to understand fully

Disappeared is a gripping blend of suspense, folklore, and survival that takes readers deep into the wilderness—and even deeper into the unknown. The story kicks off with a seemingly ordinary camping trip that turns chillingly extraordinary when Maggie Stewart vanishes while hiking with her husband and friends. What follows is a tense, twist-filled narrative that reveals Maggie has been abducted by none other than Bigfoot.
Hall’s writing is fast-paced and atmospheric, pulling you into Maggie’s harrowing ordeal and the desperate search that unfolds. The book balances eerie mystery with emotional depth, exploring fear, resilience, and the bonds that hold people together in crisis.
If you’re a fan of cryptid lore, survival thrillers, or just love a good page-turner with a wild twist, Disappeared might be your next favorite read.

Four friends go off onto a friendly camping trip, but what was friendly doesn't last long. Soon they feel eyes on them, one of them sees something she can't explain, and they start hearing noises that isn't a natural forest noise. They come to a decision to come home the next day. Except they take one more hike on an abandoned service trail. On this hike they lose Maggie, one of the 4 hikers. She wakes up realizes she's been taken by no one other than Bigfoot. Will the others rescue her or will Bigfoot get them all.

This book had me hooked from the first page. I wanted nothing more than to find out what could be next in a series of twists and turns this book gave you. I definitely intend to get more from this fantastic author!

Highly recommend!

This book literally had me on the edge of my seat, and I could feel my pulse racing at the end! I felt so many emotions while reading this tale…fear, frustration, anger, disgust, relief, and finally sadness and concern for the well-being of these beasts. Whether you believe in these mythical creatures or not, I guarantee this story will take you on a journey of discovery and allow you to imagine what life might be like if we were ever to encounter another life form like this!

What happens when avid hikers Maggie and Nick take their best friends camping? Maggie has camped in this area all of her life and has never had a problem-until now. Strange sounds and sights make this trip different and the two couples decide to go home after one last hike on an unknow trail. A short hike should be fine unless you infringe on Bigfoot’s territory.

For fan’s of Bigfoot conspiracies and those looking for something different from the average thriller this is the perfect book. With a matter of fact tone and a little humor Carol Hall’s first book is worth the read.

A creature book featuring Bigfoot. This was pretty fast paced and suspenseful but light on gore. You can let your young horror readers enjoy it also as it does not have language or sex - just a good clean story. Loved the twist at the end. I am not actually a Bigfoot fan so I can’t call it a five star simply due to preference. I also like a lot more gore. I do know that this was the author’s first book and I read others by her that I rate 5 stars.

Another book read in one day and it deserves more then 5 stars.... I loved it.... To be honest it wasn't what I expected at all... Wasn't as spooky as I thought it would be but I still loved it... It did have an adventure with thrills....I laughed and almost cried at the end.... "Rose" has got to be my favorite Bigfoot in this story!!!! I highly recommend reading this!!

Wow 5☆
Carol Halls first book ... Disappeared was so good . It was suspenseful,  on the edge of your seat and heartbreaking all the same. You will not be able to put it down!

"What did you see? Your freaking me out a bit"

Another knock rocked the woods. It reverberated off the trees making the direction it came from hard to pinpoint.

Maggie had simply disappeared.

Maggie's heart was pounding so hard she could hear it in her ears. She had never been so scared in her life.

I may never go camping again...lol
Thank you Carol for a wonderful story.
