I find myself saying I did not know you can do that. The book with all its pictures and graphs will keep you interested but there is not enough to do anything practical. It is just an overview of the possible. When you are finished you can hold a conversation with people in the field yet again you would need to cover many of the references in the back of the book to start any practical applications.
It is interesting the only color plates in the book are of Glass-Ceramic for Dental Restoration. But do not think it is all about something you can sink your teeth into. The book also covers architectural applications.
