A delightfully cringe-inducing compendium of things disturbing, icky, slimy and weird, this book will appeal to almost anyone curious about feces, urine, odd animals, burial practices, et al.

If I had one complaint, it’s that the author didn’t include a handy index. However, there are notes in case the reader wishes to conduct further research on his own. Information about pertinent websites, books and medical journals are clearly written for the curious.

If you want to dazzle or distress people in casual conversation, this book is worth a gander.

This is just a fact-filled book about disgusting things. While some may find the tidbits disgusting, I really just found them informative. Are they facts that I will remember? Some, maybe. This ranges from Body fluids, body oddities, germs, etc. Just an interesting read.

An amusing mix of informative and completely useless trivia meant to disgust and disturb--perfect for sharing with others. I now know that one can stop hiccups by massaging the rectum, but I hope I never actually utilize this information. The chapter on germs had me cleaning at three in the morning and paranoid about using grocery carts; the chapter on bugs made me itch; the chapter on death just made me uncomfortable with its descriptions of decaying and embalming.

My friend and I read this book together during our lunch break and it made us laugh...and grossed us out at times. This book isn't ground-breaking in any way, but it had some interesting facts of random knowledge.

Fantastic fun, and all true. I could read books like this every day and never get enough. Now I know why SBD toots smell so much worse than regular toots!

A must for all things you probably would rather not know, but very entertaining in it's ridiculousness.
