A great book about the first sailing of the Northwest Passage.

Using a hyper-specialized catamaran, two intrepid explorers accomplish the feat.

A decent read and an important achievement.

This a typical book of its kind. A certain amount of time is devoted to the inspiration and preparation, the background, and then these two guys make the first polar passage in a catamaran. They went from west to east, (I think,) through Canada's Northwest Passage. Like the first Ra expedition, things don't always go as planned. While enduring real hazards in an unforgiving environment, these kind of expeditions sort of lack relevance in my own life experience.
