Heartbreak and heroism collide as the survivors of the eruption near their final destinations in Escaping Darkness Book 5....

A routine survey mission turns into the unthinkable as the Yellowstone Caldera finally breaks free of its earthen chains, releasing thousands of years of pent-up energy in an instant. As fire and ash consume all in their path, signs point to the disaster not being as natural as it first appears...

Barely escaping the disaster in a small plane that takes off from the Yellowstone airport, Mia finds her Texas A&M life turned upside down as the days of class and studying turn into a fight for the very air she needs to survive. While she tries to help her fellow survivors, her niece and nephew are being watched over by her parents on a small farm that quickly succumbs to the choking clouds of ash.

Both sides of the family must fight against man - and nature - in this unique take on the classic Yellowstone post-apocalyptic story. Written by ES Richards in conjunction with #1 best-selling post-apocalyptic author Mike Kraus, this thrilling post-apocalyptic series features characters that are vulnerable, naive and inexperienced who work alongside the prepared and experienced to get through the end of days. The Escaping Darkness series will be 6-books long, published at a rate of approximately one book per month.

This is very short but a good addition to this series. We are still following characters that had stayed behind in the northwest as well as the errant Jorge, so I assume they will converge with the main group at some point. This volume is a bit less about the eruption than the mysterious Authority group that has cordoned off Texas in a suspiciously short period of time.

Great series

Love this series! Fracking brings on destruction as you can not imagine. Follow a family separated by multiple earthquakes and weather changes. As they and the people they come together with to survive, attempt to return to their family, they face many challenges. Go back to book one. It is well worth the journey!

Excellent

A great post apocalypse series. Full of bad circumstances and evil characters. The good people have to wade through not only the natural disaster but also struggle against corrupt individuals. Recommend.

Survivors??

The survivors are capable of making sure that they will continue to keep going. The twists and turns are amazing. The Authority really needs to have it's ass kicked. I am sure that they will get what's coming in the end. Can't wait for the next book.

Satisfying

Not exactly pulse pounding, action packed or anything but a satisfying story. Enough twists and turns to care for these characters, especially the children who are very major forces throughout the narrative, which is extremely enjoyable in this one. Good read, indeed.

OMG

Twists, turns, deaths and sadness. Who do you trust? Will you be deceived. How do you deceive? No freedom, then freedom, but will it be taken away? I have thoroughly enjoyed this book and can't wait for the next one!

Awesome, such action. Grips you from the beginning and holds you captive until the end. Unthinkable, perhaps not a natural disaster. Don’t miss out.

Good

The storytelling is good but way too short. Interesting characters dealing with survival in a dangerous world where nature and man is your enemy.
