For Lacey Willows, holidays are a time of booming business, tinsel, and…cake?
When Lacey agrees to help Trace finding his client's missing pups, they have a chance to make a Christmas miracle for the family. But a case like this is never as straight forward as it should be. An old enemy, an ex-boyfriend, and a crazy mother makes everything a challenge.
A.L. Kessler is an author of paranormal and urban fantasy books and is best known for her “Here Witchy Witchy” series. A self-proclaimed coffee addict, she resides in Colorado Springs with her family and menagerie of animals. When she’s not writing her next book, she loves to read and visit with friends and family.
A great read. A plot of revenge, murder and harassment. It started off as a case of two missing family pets but grew into a fight between her, her nemesis and a wannabe. The situation is further complicated by a PI with no scruples, her mother's baking, a homeless man and his dog plus a dead body in her shop. Not only a dead body but her shop interior has been trashed. Most of her stock has been destroyed, her security system ripped out and a little boy left motherless. Can they fix things before Christmas? With only a few days left they have little time to do so? Plus can they fix a problem at the shop? One not involved with the destruction but with having a magical door? It was an entertaining read but the story just got a bit too convoluted and frankly parts of it didn't make sense, add up but the feel good factor at the end was great.
