Borrowed from my 11-year-old nephew who was born in the wrong century. :) This was a thorough history of Scotland Yard, very accurate historically yet also full of plenty of intrigue. Written in the 50s, it's a great perspective on the importance of police in the daily lives of citizens, too.
Published during my birth year 73 years ago, this book, much like myself, is very dated. The history sections of policing in London are interesting and I learned how Scotland Yard got its name. This is my 59th read in Landmark’s 63 book history series.
