The book is based on the true life experiences of an ex NSW Police Officer. It has not been particularly well written as the stories jump from one to another without any thread. Basically it is a collection of short stories on different incidents the author attended. I thought it lacked a little reflection, which the author would now have, as most of the stories occurred in the 1990's. It was like it was written in a bit of a rush and I think it would of benefited from less stories and more of a common theme or thread, but that's only my opinion. About three quarters of the way through I was wondering how it was going to end and was a little disappointed with the one day I had a sore back and that was then end of my career. I do think though some people might just really enjoy each story on its own merits and may give it a higher rating than me.
