“Caris Roane never disappoints, but her Flame series is beyond good. Each book is better than the one before.” ~ Amazon Reviewer
Against his alpha wolf principles, Eric Fergus, seduces a forbidden fae woman in the dreamglide and soon discovers she’s the only one who can save his life…
Fergus has been without an alpha-mate for three years, from the time his wife was murdered. He’s failed repeatedly to bond with the female wolves of the Gordion Pack. When he rescues a fae woman from a sex club, his need to bond with her goes into overdrive. But how can an alpha bond with a fae? Can his pack ever accept her as his bonded mate?
Mary has lived a solitary fae life in Revel Territory. As a veterinarian, she’s established a thriving small animal practice. Having survived a recent abduction, she’s leery of entanglements of any kind. But when Fergus contacts her through a dreamglide, asking her to save his life, she hurries to the Graveyard and rescues him from certain death. But when she discovers that for the past month he’s been her lover in the dream-world, she’s appalled. Mary doesn’t like wolves or anything to do with Savage Territory. She wants him out of her life, but soon realizes if she doesn’t serve as his bodyguard the whole territory will go to war and hundreds of innocent wolves will die. But how can she align herself with the wolves of Five Bridges?
AMBER FLAME continues the journey into the alter world of Five Bridges, a dangerous cordoned off world of five territories at war. Each territory is dominated by alter beings: vampires, witches and wizards, wolves, fae and deadtalkers.
AMBER FLAME is a standalone story with no cliffhangers. It’s a passionate, sensual, paranormal romance, featuring a wolf and a fae set in the urban world of Five Bridges.

I confess I've had a love affaire with vampires for several years now, especially warrior vampires, the kind found in the books of Sherrilyn Kenyon, Lara Adrian and JR Ward. Though I've been published in Regency Romance under the pseudonym Valerie King--and yes one of my Regency Novellas features a vampire--one day I woke up knowing I had to create my own contemporary world of the warrior vampire.
For some mystical, magical reason, early in the process, my vampires appeared with enormous beautiful wings and it has been the most amazing experience to include flight in my novels, in both battle scenes and scenes involving spectacle. My special vampire world, published by St. Martin's Press, is introduced in the first book called, ASCENSION (12-28-2010). The second book, BURNING SKIES (May of 2011), opens up the world a little bit more. And even as I write this, I'm on the final draft of my third novel, WINGS OF FIRE (September of 2011). What a thrill it has been to live with my ascended vampires through the creation of this extraordinary, multi-dimensional world!

With every hope you'll enjoy reading my books set in the World of Ascension, All my best, Caris Roane
This series is just going from strength to strength . It's improved in leaps and bounds as the author has refined the world she has created and added so much depth to it. I'm one of those who sometimes wish for more length as I prefer to feel any romance is believable and not just instant lust and the author seems to be on the same wave length here. Oh I won't lie this couple are intimate but it's not in reality more like subconsciously ! We first met these two characters a couple of books ago and it was so obvious that the wolf Fergus could not control himself around the lovely alter fae Mary. Slight problem though as Mary has no love for the alter wolves and frankly has reason to avoid these bloodthirsty creatures. Yet her heart and conscience will not allow her to ignore Fergus when he reaches out to her and she soon finds herself saving Fergus again and again! The idea behind this series is just incredible . Humans altered irrevocably by a drug and forced to live in an enclave away from humanity. It's easy to see many would be resentful and use their new powers in heinous ways. More often than not the characters we meet have harrowing back stories but that isn't really the case here. Fergus has risen through the werewolf ranks to become an alpha but three years ago his wife was murdered. Mary is a veterinarian and although her sister got caught up in a violent fight and died Mary has made a life for herself albeit a lonely one . So when Fergus is cheated out of his Pack it's surprising just how much Mary feels the need to help him, or is it? There's something happening in Five Bridges as more and more couples begin to share powers and yes somehow Fergus is connecting with Mary in dreams but what if the fantasy could become reality? This is another passionate instalment but I particularly enjoyed learning more about the Packs . Another alpha werewolf is introduced ( the scarred Warren) , there's a villain who really deserves a sticky end and even a talkative ghost! Yes this author sure knows how to craft a story and if you love a bit of spice in your books than Ms Roane should be on your must read list I was gifted a copy in exchange for an honest review
So it looks like I will be the dissenting opinion for this book. It was just okay for me. I keep waiting for the author to let us in on the overarching plot for the series. Why are characters of different factions (were/fae/vampire) suddenly sharing powers with each other. It also seems that the bad guys are just too easily defeated. I also found a lot of repetition in this book. The heroine kept saying things like "my wolf side" or "my fae side" and telling the hero to "access your fae side" until I wanted to scream that I got the point that they were sharing powers.
Thanks to the author for providing this book for free in return for an unbiased review.
Amber Flame, Book 4 in the Flame Series by Caris Roane is one that I will re-read over and over again. Loved the story of Fergus and Mary.
Eric Fergus is the alpha of the Gordion pack but when Sydon challenges him to a wolf dominance battle, only Sydon doesn't play fair and skewers Fergus in the heart. Fergus has to transform into his wolf, knowing it is the only thing that can possibly save his life or not. Once he is dumped into the graveyard, Fergus can think of only one who could save him now..Mary..the fae woman he rescued in book 3. He has been dream gliding with her for a month and uses the last of his energy to call to her in the dream glide.
Mary Somers is a alter fae from Revel and a veterinarian. When she hears Fergus calling for her in the dreamglide to help save him, she is confused but knows he needs help so she races to the graveyard to help. Once saved her and Fergus will be try and discover why Sydon is trying to take down the Gordion pack, why both her and Fergus are sharing powers even though they are not bonded and why is Fergus's dead wife Sharon contacting Mary. Sharon tells Mary that the survival of the Gordion pack will hinge on hers and Fergus's life.
Fergus and Mary's story is one of my favorites. Fergus is tormented by his guilt of losing his wife and his actions leading up to her death. The steel door he has wrapped around his heart has served him well but...Mary is his mate, he knows it, he just won't let that steel door down. He must put his pack first. Mary on the other hand knows what must be done, her fae senses have never failed her. And throw in a sassy ghost named Sharon, and all sorts of excitement and you have a hell of a story. Loved it!!!! And I am partial to Sharon, I think she rocks, lol

Naughty Donna has been remiss on my reviews......nasty cold. Anyway, as if you needed my pearls of wisdom to know that Caris has rocked another beauty out !!!. Of course she has !!!
This is Eric "Fergus"and Mary's tale. Fergus Alpha hunk of wolf ends up injured following a challenge. This then leads to Mary (our little fae sweetie) saving Fergus. Thrusting both Fergus and Mary into the challenge of digging deep into the plot, whilst trying to get to the bottom of why Fergus was challenged and why Mary can hear Fergus' dead wife calling her !!!! Oh yeah, that's what I typed !!!.
Seriously, Caris's story lines are epic !! The thrill, the heat of the leading M/F, the plots.........just awesome all round. This for me was yet another double thumbs up !!!
A massive Red, "Amber", Green......go, go, go heart stopping 5 Stars from me !!
Well done Caris and many thanks for this opportunity x
I liked Fergus and Mary. They were a strong and well-matched couple. Their story was easy to get into and not over dramatic. The conflict was realistic, but not overdone. There could have been a bit more emotional tension at times and during certain scenes, but I was not bored. Each book introduces another flame drug and this one dealt with the sex trade. The drug forced female wolves to crave sex. Mary was introduced in Dark Flame and was rescued from Roche (the antagonist in Dark Flame) by Fergus. After the rescue, he snuck into her dreams and seduced her (very similar-identical- to what happened with Brannick and Juliet). After a few weeks of her not realizing that they were getting their freak in in her dreams (another mind block), he calls out to her to rescue him from the Graveyard. He is near death after a dominance battle where an illegal weapon was used. She rescues him, nurses him back to health, and their story and adventure is off and running. I enjoyed their story and look forward to the next installment.
Received the book in exchange for an honest review.
I loved it. Amber Flame is about Fergus, a wolf, and Mary who is fae. Fergus helped rescued Mary from a sex club and recognized her as his mate. Mary doesn't like wolves. Fergus gained some of Mary's fae abilities and began dreamgliding to her. Fergus is wounded during a dominance battle Sydon with and is dying. He contacts Mary thru the dreamglide and lets her know where he is. She saves him with the help of Warren and a few other wolves. Fergus makes plans to take back his pack. You have to read the book to find out the rest. It is a great read.
Alpha Eric Fergus doesn’t usually care for fae and vet Mary Somers has no use for wolves whatsoever. But somehow since Fergus helped rescue Mary from a sex club, the couple have been sharing powers and a a torrid affair in a dreamglide, though Mary was unaware. When Fergus is mortally wounded in a Dominance fight where his opponent Sydon, illegally uses a weapon, Fergus contacts Mary in the dreamglide, she knew enough about the wolf politics to contact another Alpha to help her help Fergus.
Within 24hours, Fergus is back to fighting form and will have to have a second dominance battle with Sydnor to get his position back. Meanwhile, damage Sydon’s done in that period has far-reaching consequences, he’s linked the pack with the cartel to make the amber flame and service the sex clubs plus Fergus can’t get help from the council. Not to mention Mary senses changes in Fergus’ pack and they may not accept Mary, a fae, as their alpha female. Plus neither Mary nor Fergus are certain why she needs to be at his side. Rating: 4stars
I absolutely love this authors writing..such strong characters and interesting storylines. Fergus is the Alpha for one of the many packs in the Five Bridge area, strong, handsome and widowed. Mary is the Fae vet that lives in another part of the area. Their story is GOOD. I really enjoyed this read.
This is a paranormal romance involving a male werewolf and a fae woman. They both used to be human but because of an Alter drug. They were changed into paranormal beings! This is well written and worth reading.
Strong characters and interesting storyline for this different take on wolf packs, fairies, vampires and witches. Fergus and Mary aren't two people you would think would get together, but they just work. They have magical chemistry and together they conquer the evil doers. Good book.
It was against his wolf principles, but Eric Fergus couldn’t resist seducing Mary in the dreamglide and soon he discovers that she is the only woman who can save his life in this exhilarating paranormal romance.
Having survived a recent abduction, Mary is leery of entanglements of any kind and readers can feel the emotion and the passion that flows from the pages as Mary saves Fergus’s life only to discover that they are destined for so much more. The chemistry between Fergus and Mary is a seething cauldron of intense fiery chemistry and turbulent emotions due to some past issues that have them both holding back from accepting their growing connection but the sizzling desires won’t be denied so there is some hot and steamy encounters. These strong, bewitching characters ensnare readers with their vibrant personalities while the fast paced and smooth flowing plot keeps readers on the edge of their seat with lots of suspense, excitement and romance.
Anticipation builds throughout the story as war looms over the wolves of Five Bridges and adrenaline pumping excitement builds as Fergus and Mary use their growing abilities to save them and each other from a power hungry wolf and his evil plans. The story is also full of unexpected twists and unexpected humor that keeps surprising readers along the way and there is some additional turmoil provided by a ghost, so be prepared for anything as you read Fergus and Mary’s story because the well written scenes are jam-packed with vivid details that make it easy for the reader to become lost in the story as the intriguing events ensure that there is never a dull moment.
Every visit to Five Bridges gets better and better and the more I get to know the good inhabitants, the more I want to join them in their fight against the evil inhabitants. Mary and Fergus’s story really amped up the tension level and brought the focus to the wolves of the series which makes the series so much spicier and I can’t wait to read the next one.
As always I love Caris Roane and her books this is the 4th book in her Flame series and might just be my favorite. I love the chemistry between Mary and Fergus. It starts out almost tragic and nearly ends that way as well. I really like the realistic aspects of their relationship, not to give anything away but I wasn't sure that they were going to make it. Fergus has a lot of things to overcome which he doesn't even realize he has a one track mind and it's not exactly Mary like you would think it would be. He is fully focused on only one thing and has no room for anything other than that. Mary is focused on saving Fergus and in more ways that she realizes. They both get a little extra help which is revealed fairly quickly in the story but as the story line flows you learn more and more the intricacies of the whys of everything. I really like the relationships that build even with Fergus' pack and Mary. And the relationship between Mary and Fergus is realistic in the sense that they do fight about very real things, things that even normal everyday people fight about, I found that very relate-able in the story. There is of course the super natural aspect that is ever intriguing and making a great addition to the story. There isn't too much of the past characters in this story and not really a mention of further stories. The past stories have always kind of led into another story and given a hint of who the characters were going to be and while they do mention Warren a key player in this story as well I'm very intrigued about what the next story will contain. It seems there will be another installment though. Can't wait to read the next ones! Copy gifted in exchange for an honest review
5 Stars ☆☆☆☆☆ Title: Amber Flame The Flame Series #4 The Wolves Of Five Bridges Author: Caris Roane Reviewer : Stephanie Jordan #Paranormal #WolfShifter #Fae #Ghost °•○●°•○●°•○●°•○●°•○●°•○●°•○●°•○●°•○●° This is really a marvelous book and the series is phenomenal I love how Ms. Roane matches her characters and portrays there feelings/emotions so well that I believe it's me doing everything. Gosh, I sure do recommend this book but really you'll see, kinda like lays potato chips you can't eat just one. This series is extraordinary!! Eric Fergus is an Altered Wolf an Alpha in the Savage Territory. He also worked as a Savage Territory Border Patrol Officer. But today he was fighting a dominance battle, for the Gordion Pack, with Sydon the coward, that right coward he wanted the pack and Fergus wasn't losing this fight but than Fergus didn't account for Sydon cheating, seeing a long piece of metal slide out of his black leather wrist guard and peirce a hole at the bottom of his heart. They dumped his dying body. Mary Somers is an altered fae plus a veterinarian who lives in the Revel Territory. She loves being a Veterinarian but not an Altered Fae and because of her sisters who was an altered wolf she was killed by a wolf because basically she was at the wrong place at the wrong time, so Mary hated wolves. Finding out she had feelings for Fergus in a dreamglide and that he was dumped and was close to death. She rushed to save him while remembering all her dreamglides with Fergus the Wolf. Could she save him? Than what does she do? I was gifted this ARC for an honest and truthful review.
This book is another great addition to the Flame Series. And as with the rest of the series, I loved it! Eric Fergus, the alpha of the Gordion pack has been a strong, trusted friend in a supporting role in the previous books. This book begins with him calling out mentally to Mary Somers, a fae he helped rescue from the cartel a month earlier. Since then, they have been meeting in the dreamglide, but because her sister died in violence related to an alpha dominance battle, she wants nothing to do with wolves and blocks the memories of their meetings from her real time self. Now, when Fergus reaches out to her, he is in the Five Bridges Graveyard, near death. As a veterinarian, she has the skills to save him, if she believes him and can get to him in time. What he tells her rings true, however, and she contacts Warren, alpha of the Caldion pack, asking him to meet them at her clinic to provide blood for Fergus. They work together to save Fergus and as he stabilizes, the truth of what happened to him comes out. A rogue alpha, Sydon, illegally skewered Fergus in a dominance battle, mortally wounding him and taking his pack. Sydon's intentions for the pack and Savage Territory soon become clear, along with his ties to the cartel and a dark witch. Fergus will have to take his pack back, but that is something he can't do alone. Mary will have to stay on as his protector, or he will die. Copy received in return for an honest review.

Although dated after Christmas Flame, this book is really #4 and Christmas Flame is 4.5. Finally we get to the hunky wolves, Yippee! And if you have read Christmas Flame already, our couple of this book, Fergus and Mary are mentioned. I good to know that if you haven't started this series, you can read this book. There's very little back story that you'd get lost by starting on Book 4. Previous characters do show up now and then, but it's just in passing, so if you like this one, then you can go back and catch the others. I love that the characters are believable and you cheer for the good guys and hiss and jeer the evil ones. The whole story moves along at a nice pace as we head towards the HEA. There's bumps along the way, but they get there eventually. A lot happens in this book, and leads onto what will happen in the rest of the series. And then we have the sex scenes. Wolf fur may have been burning, things got pretty hot. A well place sex scene adds to the story, a lot of it goes to the characters' feelings. If you're not in the mood, it happens, just skim through it, but in or out it flows within the story. Did you enjoy this one, go back and grab the others.
Loved this book! In previous books we have met Fergus and Mary, but in case you haven't let me tell you a little about them. Fergus is an Alpha Wolf from a pack in the Savage territory, and Mary is a Fea from the Elegance territory, in a previous book Fergus helps rescue Mary from a sex club, and from that moment he can't get hi mind off of her. Mary has a strong dislike for wolves and Savage ever since her sister was killed watching a dominance battle.
In this book, at the beginning we find Fergus in the middle of a dominance battle with a deadly wound. Left for dead he creates a Dreamglide to contact Mary, as she is the only one who can save him. Mary is a bit conflicted at first as she doesn't like the wolves from Savage but at the same time she can not leave him to die. She does what she can and with the help of a few other wolves takes him back to her house and saves him. The next night the ghost of Fergus' wife visits Mary and tells her she has to go into Savage with Fergus as it is the only way to save him and keep him alive.
Once Fergus is completely healed he has plans to get his pack back at all cost. With the help of Mary and the other packs he does just that. However, along the way he and Mary must over come their inner battles or all of Savage will break into an all out war!
loved this book and can't wait for the next one! *I received a copy of this book in return for an honest review.
Fergus is a powerful wolf. He is the leader of the Gordion Pack. Three years ago his wife was murdered. He's been alone since then. Now he's drawn to Mary, a fae, who he helped rescue. He knows that they can never be together. She would never be accepted by his pack. Can he stay away from her? No! He can't. There connection is too strong. When he is near death, he uses their telepathy to tell her he needs help. Mary becomes his bodyguard. Together they will prevent a deadly war in the Savage Territory. Mary is a strong, feisty woman. She puts aside her fears and dislike of wolves to save them. She can even deal with the ghost of her lover's wife. She's more than a match for this stubborn Alpha. Fergus needs to lower his walls and embrace love. All his energy is focused on his pack. I wanted him to realize that Mary's love is essential. Five Bridges and the Savage Territory are a dark and deadly place. They provide the perfect background for treachery and deceit. I couldn't stop reading until I knew that right triumphed. Caris Roane has created memorable characters. Amber Flame is filled with non-stop action and unexpected twists and turns. I enjoyed the Wolves of Five Bridges. I hope to learn more about them and their struggle to survive. I receive this book in exchange for an honest and unscripted review.
I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I admit that I may have jumped around a little bit in the series, but it didn't seem to impact my enjoyment of this 4th book of the set. There is a very rich world that we are thrown into that comes along with some history that we are reminded of along the way.
Fergus and Mary have been having dream sex for a while now. While Fergus can accept that he wants to mate with Mary in real-life, Mary has constructed blocks preventing her waking self from remembering all the naughty things they have done together. All of this comes to a head when Fergus is fatally wounded by a cheating challenger. In order to save his own life, he has to reach out telepathically to Mary and drawn her into his dangerous world.
These two have some ridiculous chemistry that helps them find some common ground when the world around them is exploding (sometimes literally). There is a war brewing in their world and it seems like Mary is the key to avoiding an incredible loss of life. With her fae heritage and his alpha wolf experience, they are tasked with keeping the peace and finding the traitors. Oh, and there's lots of sex along the way.
This is the action-packed and emotion-filled story of Fergus and Mary, an Alpha Wolf and a Fae. Mary doesn't know anything about Fergus in 'real time', but they have been getting to know each other in the dreamglide since Fergus helped to rescue her a month previously. It starts with Fergus losing a Dominance battle and being left for dead, but quickly moves on to become an intriguing and suspenseful story, with more at stake than "just" a relationship.
Amber Flame is exceedingly well-written, with no editing or grammatical errors that I found, with a smooth pace that builds up to an eventful climax, both for our main male and female, but also for Savage itself. I thoroughly enjoyed every part of this story, and now I'm hoping for Warren to get his story! So many great characters live in the Five Realms, and I want all of their stories! Definitely recommended.

Merissa Archaeolibrarian - I Dig Good Books! Feb 6, 2016
Amber flame is Fergus and Mary's story. I'll admit that I had a fondness for Fergus from his appearances in the previous flame books. His loyalty, bravery, and willingness to put his life on the line repeatedly made it hard not to appreciate him. More than that though, Fergus was one of the few alter folks who didn't seem to have a bias against the other alter species. As long as they were fighting for the greater good he fought right alongside them. Fergus is an alpha alter wolf shifter. He is gruff, tough, and everything you'd expect a wolf to be. Mary is quite the opposite as a fae alter. Having recently been saved from a horrible ordeal she is leery and uninterested in a relationship. More than that, she hates wolf shifters. But when lives are on the line it becomes up to her to save them. She will have to put biases and past wounds aside for the greater good. And Fergus will have to change as well. Because his relationship with Mary may well be the only thing that will save the lives of thousands of wolves in Savage. The characters are as always amazing and the story keeps you excited and on the edge of your seat. Copy gifted in exchange for an honest review.
Mary is a fae and a veterinarian. Her sister was killed violently by wolves so she wants nothing to do with them. Fergus is Alpha of the Gordion pack and gets in a dominance battle and is skewered in the heart. He contacts Mary and she gets another Alpha to help her go get him. He has been visiting her in a dreamglide and they have been having sex but she doesn't remember it until she goes in one. Now Fergus has to fight the guy again to get his pack back. He is getting fae powers and Mary is getting wolf powers because they are meant to be mates but first Fergus has to remove the steel door preventing him from mating with her. She finds out Sydon, the cheating wolf, is going to attack all the packs and try to start pack wars but Mary dreamglides and telepathically tells Fergus and they rush to stop him. Great story. Wolves, faes, witches, and ghosts. Dream sex and real life sex with a handsome wolf. The cover disturbs me because the head and hair looks fake. *RECEIVED A COPY FROM AUTHOR FOR HONEST REVIEW*
Summary: Fergus calls out to Mary on the brink of death and what happens after that is a whirlwind of passion and fighting for their lives and the lives of his pack.
Thoughts: As usual Ms. Roane does not disappoint! Ever since Mary was rescued and Fergus howled with her in his arms I couldn’t wait to read their story! As soon as I started I had problems putting it down (stupid breaks at work not being long enough lol). The way the reader just gets sucked in like a black hole, everything around you disappears as the story comes alive on the pages. I can’t get enough of this series and I look forward to reading more.
I received a free copy from the author for an honest review.
Oh wow!! This is a story within a story but not in a confusing way. At first it comes across as Mary an alter fae protecting Fergus who is an alter wolf shifter and the former alpha of the Gordion pack who was illegally beaten by a sadistic alter wolf shifter in a challenge. Mary becomes his bodyguard so to speak. The suspense and sensual sexiness of their relationship will hold your attention. THEN you have the other story going on about the threat to the packs by the same SOB who illegally took Fergus' alpha position. I didn't even see that one coming. I didn't want the story to end but had to know what happened next. Wonderfully written, this one had me not wanting to put the book down.
I was given this e-book by the publisher for the purpose of an honest review. My conclusions are my own. I was not compensated in any way
This is the 4th book in the series.Ever since Border Patrol officer Fergus rescued a fae woman Mary from the sex club he'd felt the urge to bond with her. Suddenly he's able to dreamglide and have a relationship with her in her dreams. He is also Alpha leader of the Gordion Pack and he is challenged to a domination fight by Sydon. Sydon cheats and has a skewer which he stabs into Fergus' heart. Fergus immediately shifts to his wolf form to try to save himself. Sydon gets in a few more blows and then has him thrown out into the graveyard. Fergus contacts Mary, who is a vet, and tells her he's dying and needs her to come rescue him. She does save his life with help and they begin to get to know each other. There are dangerous times ahead and they are both in danger. Can they defeat the evil? Will they have a life together? You need to read this book to find out.
The Flame series is beyond unique in the storytelling of the special "alter" characters that inhabit "The 5 Bridges" areas. Ms. Roane's ability to take you outside your comfort zone and introduce you to a world beyond the ordinary is such that words escape me to describe her talent!! Each book I read I exclaim "these are my favorite characters" and then the next book is filled with new wonderment and chaos and I think no these are my favorite! Fergus is beyond exciting with honor and loyalty screaming from his pores and Mary, afraid but with inner strength that grab your senses so that you invest yourself fully in their lives. These are exciting and scorching stories that you cannot put down!!
****I have received this ARC in exchange for am honest review, only****
"Amber Flame" is probably my favorite book in this entire series as of yet. Caris Roane is a genius when it comes to putting life emotions to paper. The raw emotions, love, heartache , drama, and true feelings expressed in "Amber Flame" are very powerful!
When Fergus first met Mary and helped rescue her from Roche, their destinies were set into motion. How they get to bonding is an entire different set of drama plays. I think that their situation is probably the most "real" in this series.
I look forward to their future and the new set of goals set for them for Savage.
** Copy Given for an Honest Review**. Amber Flame is the 4th in the Caris Roane Flame Series. Two characters that were in Dark Flame are dealing with their attractions. Eric Fergus is an alpha wolf of the Gordian Pack. Mary Somers is a fae who Fergus helped rescue in the Flame Series Book 3. Together this couple will share powers and team up to save the Savage Territory of Five Bridges. With the encouragement of Sharon (Fergus' dead wife) and the help of the neighboring back leader Warren, Mary works to save Fergus from death. Fae feelings are strong but will they be enough to stop another Territory War. Take a read and find out.
I received a copy of this book for free in exchange for an honest review. While I love Caris Roane's writing style I'm getting a little tired of the same old story. They meet, something bad happens, they can't be together because they are from different worlds, something bad happens again causing them to realize they love each other and they live happily ever after. That is the synopsis of each of the books in this series. Her character development is, as always, great and she has an incredible ability to create the sexiest men in the world. I recommend this book if only for her erotic writing skills and uber sexy wolves.
