This fiction novel follows the life of Anna, an Irish 13-year-old, who has recently lost her Dad. Throughout the book, we explore how Gaelic football becomes Anna's coping mechanism for her Dad's death - and how a certain pair of socks change how she plays football.
This text also deals with the complex navigation of teenage friendships and bullying.
An incredible and evocative read. 5 stars!!
