She was the one piece of his past he'd never put behind him.

Wall Street Journal and USA Today Bestselling Author L. Wilder brings readers a new installment in the Satan's Fury MC- Memphis series.

I'd spent years trying to put the past behind me. I wanted to forget the mistakes I'd made, the dreams I'd lost, but they were a part of me. They made me the man I'd become--a brother of Satan's Fury MC.

I wore my cut with pride. It was a constant reminder of how far I'd come and who'd helped me get there. I thought I had my life figured out until the day Darcy Harrington came walking into the Satan's Fury garage.

I'd grown up with the strong-willed, foulmouthed beauty, and even back then, I wanted to make her mine. But she had her guard up, never letting anyone get too close, including me.

That was about to change. Come hell or high water, I was going to break down her walls and prove I was a man she could trust.

I'd learned to fight for what I wanted, and I wanted her.

Rider is book seven of the Satan's Fury MC- Memphis Chapter. While this book is a continuation of the series, it can be read as a standalone. Rider is a full-length novel with no cheating and a swoon-worthy HEA.

Rider was the seventh book in L Wilder’s Satan’s Fury MC- Memphis series.

I was hooked from the prologue. Wilder gave us just enough for an introduction and curiosity for more. And then I couldn’t stop reading until the end.

Rider and Darcy had history. They grew up together until life sent them in different directions. They both had hard lives, but for contrasting reasons. Their paths crossed again as adults and it was fun watching them reconnect amongst the action packed MC plot. It was well written and well developed.

The only issues were a couple confusing scenes - but they were minor and didn’t affect the total plot, just curious. I didn’t understand why the scene with Darcy’s brothers made the cut. I felt there was more like maybe they could be future prospects or a spin off series - anything that would show their relevance to the storyline. And then the author made a reference to how Rider got his road name - but the story was never told. Two minor issues, but thought they could have either been fleshed out more or deleted all together.

Otherwise, I loved the plot as well as both Rider and Darcy. They were relatable, strong, independent and likable. True to form, Wilder had suspense, action, sex, humor, loyalty, MC conflict and more. Another true success for the series. I’m not sure who is next but Clay and T-Bone were front and center so we’ll most likely see them soon. Either way, any direction Wilder chooses, I’m in!

Wow ! This was another great read in this ongoing series.Darcy was one of those characters you were simply drawn to and one of my favorites. We loved Darcy's sass and her vibrant personality and she is a take no sh** kind of girl and we loved that about her and we loved how she survived the childhood she had without it consuming her and dragging her under and that she chose to aspire a different kind of life for herself. We thought that Darcy's profession was awesome as she was creative and had amazing talent that her skills were sought after.

We thought that Rider character was sweet and kind and loving and even a bit lonely but, although he made bad choices in the past he has done everything to atone for them the best he can but, after year after year only one women has caught his attention and that was Darcy Harrington and even years being apart hasn't dull his lust for her.We loved that this couple had a chance to see what could be as they secretly had a major crush on one another when they were kids.

We loved the chemistry Darcy and Rider had for one another and they really were the perfect fit for one another and also a perfect fit for the life that Rider now lead with the Satan Fury's she would fit right on in with his family of misfits.I loved to that there relationship was the slow burn kind with lots and lots of sexual tension that made for some hotter than hell sex scenes.

Overall we loved the story from beginning to end. We loved the romance and drama and that it was and intriguing tale that kept you turning the pages to the very end but, most of all we loved that this couple just accepted each other for who they are now not who the were in the past and that they loved the good along with bad about each and each other faults. This has become on of my favorite couples in this ongoing series and we also have to say that we absolutely loved the cover of this story as it totally rocks and fits Rider to a T.

Another great book from L. Wilder... Book 7 of Satan's Fury Memphis chapter.
Rider was a great book. Hated for it to end. Rider grew up as a farm kid and high school football star until an accident changed his life in the big way. He lost everything.
Darcy was the young girl who was from the wrong side of the tracks. Dirt poor will bad parents. Neither of them live where they grew up and was trying to find themselves they found each other. Darcy is a painter who works at a shop. She is wicked mad skills when it comes to custom paint jobs.
This story is also about another couple who had things come up in the last book.
As all of this series I highly recommend this book.
Adults only please!

Merged review:

This was a reread for me. I rarely do that but it has been so long since I first read it and wanted to read the next books so figured why not. Not like I can use Amazon since they "temporarily" suspended my account last week and not fixed it yet... sorry, I'm pissed off but back to the book.

Rider, Caleb as a teenager seemed to have it all until one tragic accident changed everything. It was the club who gave him back a reason to go on.

Darcy and Caleb were best friends as little kids but as they got older they grew apart. Most of that was due to her family so she closed herself off from everyone.

Year's later they meet again when she takes a job with the club. She has walls so high around herself Rider doesn't know if he can climb them much less break them down. She is the one who he never stopped thinking about.

With so much drama going on will Darcy be able to handle the club life or does she just want to get her job done and go home?

L. Wilder’s Rider full throttle action with a boost of romance set the course to capture her readers full attention until the very end of book seven of her addictive Satan's Fury MC: Memphis series!

It was never what you expected in the latest L.Wilder book. Caleb Hughes looked to have the world at this feet only to spiral into misfortune and reach rock bottom. His journey to finding the man he wanted to be in the ranks of the Satan Fury MC was hard wrought with tragedy and loss. Darcy Harrington never knew easy but behind her tough exterior hid a kind heart and dreams of finding love. Childhood friends and almost sweethearts Caleb and Darcy's crossing paths as co-workers in the Satan Fury's garage brought back all the feelings they held for each but thought they had put behind them. This attraction was enduring and simmering. All the pent up feelings this couple tried to keep under control were well drawn out by Ms. Wilder. Caleb was a well put together hero but Darcy was in a heroine league of her own as she stood in all her awesomeness on equal footing right along with the Satan Fury Brother's she worked along side of.

With a writing style that speaks to your heart and excites your imagination reading a L. Wilder book feels like finding your tribe. This author's go to combination of edgy and genuine sweetness might seem like an odd pairing for an MC series but it suit's her stories and brings a unique order to her Satan's Fury MC universe. The overlapping stories lines in this series were blended perfectly in this book without detracting with retelling past works. Keeping up her perfect track record of books that are reliably fantastic reads L. Wilder's Rider is an experience not to be missed!

*I was given an advanced copy. All opinions expressed are my own.*
*While part of a series this book can be read as a stand alone.*

This book was a second chance romance, that really gave each character a second chance at life. Intense, emotional and really all about family pulling together, this is a story that kept me on my toes, kept me guessing, and was finished in one sitting!

Darcy had a rough childhood. Absent, neglectful parents, and bullies for brothers, she did most of her raising herself. Coming from nothing, she has made something of herself that she can be proud of. She is a tough girl, because she has had to be, but she also has a softer side.

Rider was the golden boy. Until he wasn't. A tragic accident led to a life that destroyed him, as well as his family. Joining Satan's Fury MC was what he needed to pick himself up, and turn his life around. Now Darcy's back in his life, and he want's her just as much as he did in high school.

This book is really all about second chances, both for each character individually and for them as a couple. Each has had to make their own way, but now they get to lean on each other, and forge the road together, as hard as it will be. There is danger, lots of danger, standing in their way, but they have to be strong enough to get through. I love how they all pull together, how they all support one another, as a family should. This was a heart pounding book that I enjoyed from first page to last!

Another great read from Ms. Wilder.a great second chance romance between the main characters, along with a love that has been on the back burner simmering for years, there but not forgotten.
Rider and Darcy, have been friends for years but circumstances got in the way and they moved on. Now that they have found each other again , they are building back up the friendship, and the love they once had.
As the normal day around the MC, there is always trouble, and Darcy is in the center of it, and the MC is going to need her to help take down a rival MC, who is out for blood from one of the other Old Ladies.
She helps to take them down and in the process, realizes that she loves Rider and feels protected for the first time in a long time.

Sweet dangerous romance

In fact, I’d never really had anyone who was there for me. I always had to look out for myself—not that I’d ever really had a choice in the matter. But things were changing.

Rider was the all American boy growing up. He had a lot going for him until a personal tragedy changed his life's path. Now as member of Satan's Fury he lives a content life making sure to avoid his old life, but as fate would have it he gets a blast from the past that dredges up a lot of memories and emotions.

Darcy Harrington had a rough life growing up. She's used to being alone and independent, she's fierce and can hold her own. When she starts working at Satan's Fury Garage she gets reacquainted with her once childhood friend.

As Darcy and Rider start getting to know each other again there is one thing that hasn't changed; their attraction and feelings for one another. Unfortunately, their reunion comes at a time where Satan's Fury is dealing with enemies and when they encounter a crisis Darcy finds herself in the thick of it to help the people she's grown to care about, even if it may cost her, her life.

Rider is loyal, caring, and actaully pretty sweet. But make no mistake he's an alpha who likes to take charge. Darcy is a sassy, strong, independent spitfire. They work well together, even when pushing each others buttons. They get each other and know when to push and pull. They balance each other out.

I really liked this book but there were some things I felt were left out/unaddressed from the story.

I love a good second chance romance and this one was really good! Caleb Hughes, otherwise known as Rider by his brothers in the Satan's Fury MC, is a really good guy who had some terrible breaks. Darcy Harrington is one bada$$ chick! WOW!!! I fell in love with her right away. Rider and Darcy were childhood friends who had a lot go wrong between them. The last thing either of them ever expected was to run into each other but when they do Rider is determined to rekindle the fire from so long ago.

There are some pretty interesting twists and turns in this book. And I definitely loved the sass from Darcy! Fantastic addition to one of my favorite series!!!!

Caleb and Darcy were friends as kids. Then they drifted. As they got older, both were attracted to each other. She invited him on a date and he said yes... too bad life happened and he was unable to make it.
Fast forward years later and she’s working for his club’s garage. Once thing leads to another and these two are finally together.
This one seemed a bit fast paced, but I enjoyed the couple. She’s a bit strong willed and he’s a determined man.
I enjoyed seeing all the previous couples! (Someone has a new baby!)

This one is part of a series, but it can be read on its own with no issues.

Close when they were kids, have a chance to reconnect as teens and tragedy strikes. Now as adults the realize the chemistry is still there. Great MC s liked seeing everyone else. The only scene with a club girl is she asks to help him get breakfast and he refuses. There are other scenes but the girls are with others, a scene where a waitress acts a fool but he never shows interest in others.

An excellent MC story. Young Darcy is women determined to standup for her self and even work in a environment that is over run with big, brutish bikers. And Rider was a guy who’s dreams were destroyed and had to change his look on life.
The story very enjoyable, I especially liked how the characters developed and met again as they aged. A terrific read, a definite must.

I think that L Wilder writes the best MC books- I don't know much about MCs but I do think that her books have a fantastic balance of action and romance and I always one-click her books. This book had my heart pounding. First the romance- Rider/Caleb and Darcy knew each other when they were younger with them being from different parts of town. Rider was in an accident and because of that, he spiraled and therefore, he and Darcy lost touch. Years later, Darcy and Rider met each other again when Darcy started working for Satan's Fury. They started to get closer but then they had to face danger as a gang targets Kennedy.

I have to admit that I can't understand the whole patriarchial aspect of the MC but I assume that this is likely true. So, while that aggravates, especially because danger hits because the women aren't fully informed. However, if that is how the MCs are conducted, it isn't a negative reflection on the writer.

I also listened to the audiobook, which I received upon request and which is pretty good. It is duet style so the male narrator, Jack Ares, takes all the male parts and the female narrator, Marie Rose, took all the female parts. I love this style because it makes it more like a play. Jack Ares sounds older than I would have pictured Rider but he did an amazing job with all the different voices. Marie Rose also did well but I felt like she sounded a bit too young and cheery throughout the whole book, even when she should have been a little less so. And the other thing is that sometimes the audio was loud and others too soft- at times, it was intentional (ie if they were playing someone speaking on a phone) but other times, it felt like a mistake. These issues are minor though and overall, I really enjoyed the narration and the narrators did a great job.

L. Wilder always gives it to us good. Rider is another fantastic installment in the Satan's Fury series. These are rough and ready men who genuinely care about each other and love their women fiercely, Rider was no exception.

Rider grew up an all American boy, the football star with the golden arm, until a horrible personal tragedy changed everything about his future and caused him to run from his past. After a long battle, he landed on his feet with his brothers of Satan's Fury, until his past walks right through the front door. As a kid, he'd always been attracted to Darcy, and he still is, but now she's a reminder of all he lost.

Darcy understands hardship because she grew up in it. Neglectful, absentee parents and bullies for brothers, Darcy basically raised herself. She learned to rely only on herself and created a life for herself. As a very accomplished artist, she's sought after for her motorcycle/vehicle designs and the local MC just made her an offer she can't refuse. The new job is more money, more exposure for her designs and brings her face to face with the only boy she cared about while growing up.

As usual, Wilder does an awesome job with character development and gives us a couple we want to root for. Rider is tough and sexy but also really sweet and Darcy is a spitfire who carries her own so well. Enemies are heating things up for the MC so there's lots to keep readers on their toes and as usual, the brotherhood camaraderie is like a great extra character unto itself. Great book!

Rider by L. Wilder is a second chance romance, a high school golden boy and the tough girl with a rough childhood reunite years later. Caleb Hughs's life turns upside down from a tragic accident, the future he had planned for is gone and so is the picture-perfect son. With nowhere to turn Caleb is lucky to become a member of Satan's Fury. Caleb (Rider) is a tough guy with a big heart. He is loyal to those that have his back and to those he loves. I really fell in love with this character. He is the perfect example of Satan's Fury members, an MC man that wears his heart on his sleeve but will not think twice about killing someone when it threatens his club brothers, their families and the woman he loves.

Darcy's hard-headed personality is his perfect match. She is strong-willed and independent so when she is introduced to the men of Satan's Fury and their ole' ladies she finally realizes what family truly is. This story is filled with steam, action, heart-pounding moments, suspense and love. I can't stress how much ALL of these characters mean to me, this story is not only a second chance for Rider and Darcy to find love but it also highlights the danger of being a member of the MC club. The bond of these men is what I felt drew me into this story. I'm a big L. Wilder fan, with each MC story I lookout for a new character that I hope gets his storyline.

You guys... this book is deliciously nummy and has all the elements I love. Bad boy MC hero, perfectly intriguing heroine with the right amount of sweet and spice, and best of all put these two together creates all kinds of yum.

Did I mention I am obsessed with this author. She always takes me into her MC world with her perfect words. Yes she is a one click writer because of the magic of her previous books.

This story definitely has its own beauty. Rider truly feels like a success story. What he has overcome touches my heart. His backstory is one that I feel is very relevant in today’s world. Small town America, football, injury, and drug addiction all become part of this story. Feelings of unworthiness and trying to find your people after some poor choices is a big part of this telling.

Darcy our heroine also has to find her worth. That can be a hard road when the people and scripts from childhood tell you something different. Neglect, poverty, incarcerated parent, and abuse are all part of her early years. I can’t help but love how her heart and strength are the foundation of this telling.

These two reconnecting after an interrupted childhood friendship makes my heart happy. Surrounding these two characters with all the characters from Satan’s Fury MC Memphis chapter (sigh) adds to all that is wonderful about this story.

Definitely a recommended read. Awesome 4.5 story. Happy Reading Everyone!

Hold on tight cause this one will definitely have your attention on nothing else but the ride that is Rider! He had it all at one time. The high school jock, the best friend who was also his girl and then one tragic accident took that away and had him spiraling out of control until he fell in with the MC that virtually saved his life. You know how fate always steps in? Well as fate would have it, Darcy the best friend he ever had, the one who also had his heart, the one with the incredible talent for painting; was now working in the garage owned by the MC. Oh things are definitely going to be interesting, especially now that they were grown and now that he knew he was going to have to fight for the thing he wanted most; the feisty, strong-willed, sassy beauty that he thought he had put behind him. The one that came walking back into his life just as she walked into that garage!

Darcy's life wasn't a bed of roses. Her past wasn't picture perfect and now she was back in the presence of Rider. Things are going to get a bit complicated here, but then things are going to get a bit dicey when trouble comes to the MC and puts everyone on alert, and in danger.

Climb on and hold on tight and enjoy the well written storyline and the wonderfully written characters that make up this book. I promise you will not be disappointed and I highly recommend this book.

Rider is a story of second chances with a lot of action, and romance and/or heat to boot. Rider had a great childhood, until a tragedy scarred him, and in the aftermath, he started making some piss poor decisions. However, the Satan's Fury helped him regain his life again, and he wears his cut with pride. Then fate steps in when a girl named Darcy Harrington walked in to the Satan's Fury garage for a job, and it was a blast from Rider's past, as she was the girl that he always wanted to make his, but because of her upbringing, she built up some sky high walls. Luckily for Rider, they hadn't lost those feelings & chemistry for each other while getting to know each other again. Sounds idyllic right?! Unfortunately, his MC is dealing with some dangerous situations, and Darcy finds herself in the thick of it, as she's willing to do anything for the people she's come to care about, even if it means her own life. Obviously there are twists which have the f-bombs dropping loud & proud, while I was on the edge of my seat cover to cover. L. Wilder has penned another fantastic read in her Satan's Fury MC world, and once again, I'm craving more. So, how does it all pan out at the of the day?! Hit that one click button to find out, because I 100% HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!

Second chance romances are some of my favorites, and Rider has now pushed itself to towards the top of my list!

I have always liked the men of Satan's Fury MC and Rider definitely created a special place in my memories for what he has been through. His strength is very apparent in this book and how he has overcome his past is really impressive. He continues to try to improve on himself, but I feel like he has already done an amazing job and is totally awesome!

Darcy is freaking amazing! She is so strong and confident in herself that it was awesome to read about her. She really gives as good as she gets and she demands respect from those around her. She doesn’t play games and is very straightforward. She also showed her compassion in how she handled certain situations in this book.

Overall, I totally enjoyed the story of Rider and Darcy. Each has their own demons that they fight, though some are more than others. I also really liked the storyline of the book. It was paced well and not rushed. Everything fell into step well and flowed nicely. Totally a great addition to this awesome series. L. Wilder really brings her characters to life and I have always loved that about her books. So, two thumbs up and happy reading!

Hot bikers

I do love me a Hot Alpha Biker .
Riders story was one of lost chances , lost love and lost family. Due to an accident that ended his budding football career Rider didn't cope to well and became addicted to his pain meds . After being kicked out of home and to many close calls with death he pulled himself out of his dispare and joined the Satan's fury. The bond of brotherhood and family was what helped Rider . Darcy loved Rider since they were kids
But coming from the wrong side of the tracks with a dead beat dad and a mum who Left them high and dry Darcy only had herself to rely on her brother's were always in trouble with the law which left only herself to pick up the pieces and try to make something for herself. They end up coming together working at the garage the fury own . With problems bearing down on the club and a kidnapped old lady Rider and Darcy do Everything they can to help including Darcy going undercover to help bring Kennedy home. Forgiveness acceptence and love fill the pages of this book and not to mention some hilarious banter from the boys of Satan's Fury I love this series and look forward to reading more.

Reviewed For Angel Babe's Blog!!

Another fantastic book from L. Wilder!! Rider is the seventh book in her Satan's Fury MC series, it can be read as a standalone but I recommend reading the series in order as there is backstory throughout the books!!
This is Rider and Darcy's story and what an amazing story it is!! I loved it from the beginning all the way to the end!! I read it in an hour because I refused to put it down!!
I will say their story is definitely not an easy one!! They were friends when they were kids until secrets and life got in their way!! In the years apart they had both lost and overcome so much!! The question being can they be truthful, lay it all on the table and be what they were always meant to be.. together!!
This book was one of those amazing rollercoaster rides where you are just hanging on for the crazy ride!! It's an adrenaline rush full of chases, bullets, explosions, truths, secrets, intense off the charts chemistry and love!!
I honestly can't wait for the next book in this amazing MC series!! I highly recommend this book and the series itself you will not be disappointed!!

Caleb/Rider and Darcy were childhood friends that flirted with more as teens but Darcy’s homelife had been on a downward spiral for years; just as once popular Caleb’s life spins out of control and he quickly became estranged from his friends and family. Years later, Rider’s part of the MC and Darcy’s gained quite the reputation as an artist painting bikes and cars.

Meanwhile, the situation of a street gang threatened one of the old ladies (Gunner) comes to a head and the brothers may be overlooking vital information. Also, Clay gets a chance to show if he can/will be a prospect.

To this reader’s taste, the effort to give Darcy depth(?) and importance (?)did the opposite by leaving holes including Darcy’s irresponsible pet parenting, dead threads, plus unquestioned, unpursued leads and connections, all made for a very weak rating affecting storyline.

Rider is doing what he needs to do to keep his club strong, and to prove to Gus that he belongs there. When he learns they've hired a girl he grew up with, he wonders if she'll be like everyone else from back home and hate him no matter what he'd done to make changes to his life

As always, things are only slow around Satan's Fury for a minute. When they're at a garage in Alabama turning over a shipment they find themselves ambushed, and even though Clay caught one of the shooters, he also failed to inform Gus or anyone else he'd seen the same guy sneaking around the club earlier.

When the Inner Disciples come after Kenadee for letting one of their own die, Darcy knows she might be able to help, but first she has to talk the brothers into letting her.

An action packed MC romance with an unconventional, but still incredibly sexy, heroine and a Hero that is still just as sexy as back in highschool. A fun filled romp learning whether Darcy and Rider can ever be together.

I Liked that the book was kinda like a second chance romance, that really gave each character a second chance at life. IT was at times ....Intense, emotional and really all about family pulling together, the character Darcy had a rough childhood. You know the usual ... Absent, neglectful parents, bullies for brothers, she did amazing raising herself. Coming from nothing, she has made something of herself that she can be proud of. She is a tough girl, because she has had to be, but she also had a softer heart when it came to the local star Qb. but she chose to pull away so not to break her heart .....

Rider was the golden boy. Until he wasn't. A tragic accident led to a life that destroyed him, as well as his family. Joining Satan's Fury MC was what he needed to pick himself up, and turn his life around. Now somehow his what would have been ... :) Darcy comes as a steamroller back into his life, and he soon realizes he still want's her just as much as he did in high school.
Question is can they make it work this time .. ?? well be sure to read cause it is very entertaining .. good read all around ...
