For almost four decades, Software A Practitioner's Approach (SEPA) has been the world's leading textbook in software engineering. The ninth edition represents a major restructuring and update of previous editions, solidifying the book's position as the most comprehensive guide to this important subject.
Although slightly shorter than its American counterpart, this is an equally dreadful read: Way too little information in way too many pages. The examples are bad, there is no structure. There's a load of irrelevant mumbo-jumbo and then occasionally something interesting and important.
For a more extensive list of reviews of this book, I would refer potential buyers to the American version (without ISE in the title), which can also be found on Goodreads.
