Still a good read and moving the series onward. This book was more domestic than the others and though needed for the story I found it incomplete for Evan. I am dismayed at the work ethic shown by Evan that for all his hard work and diligence he doesn't take time to practice his powers and cultivation. The author allows him to instantly acquire proficiency. Annoying. Self improvement is as important as city improvement. Still i look forward to more.
I'm loving this series. Well written and engaging. But some people tend to post negatives, and I'm one of em that highlights them.
I have one growing complaint after every book it gets larger.
Alyona.
She is constantly being targeted by assassins, and she is incapable of protecting herself, also she is also oblivious to her danger. Sense she is supposed to be immortal I say let the retard die a couple times and see if she gets some sense in her head.
Her magic sucks, she can't fight, nor think apparently. Wanting to stand with the people and help save them means you have to friggin be able to save yourself first. The only thing she has going for her is being the Main Character's primary booty interest.
I seem to be getting a bit jaded with some of Eric’s work at the moment, I’m only really looking forward to his modern day Without Law series, and have fallen behind on Summoner, Metal Mage and Succubus Lord. In this book the city is being rebuilt, fighting occasional assassins and random monsters and preparing to leave on his city tour was all fairly ho-hum, the only interesting part was the necromancer fight near the end which perked my interest. I enjoyed the read, but I really need to find something interesting to get me out of this reading funk.
Although the ending prickled my temper a bit 😂 in typical Vall fashion I know we shall meet mr necro again down the line. Evan is becoming more and more powerful and things are coming more together for Hatra as he increases his power base. The story just keeps getting more and more interesting and I’m getting more and more excited to see where Vall takes us on this journey. I can’t wait to start the next book! One thing though, I think Evan is not thinking about is that he’s going to need more rooms for his women 😂. Onward lads!
I feel as though these reviews are just becoming repetitive. So to expedite things I'll simply say this....the book as always was excellent. If you haven't read this series I don't know what you are waiting for? Also when you are done with this one I would HIGHLY recommend all of this author's other books! Keep up the excellent work and am excitedly looking for to the next one!
Sure was a little intense... :D with some sexy action!
Oh man love this book series full on intense situations and also arrogant but a Tsundere crimson dragon not wanting to admit our main black dragon wanting to mate the crimson dragon 🐉 and cum her brains out all times sure was some development in there and more. I hope our black dragon lord do more sexy intense Interactions with his harem specially Alyona and the driad sister in the future or may all together. 😍
Oh, man, the adventure continues. Evan and the others are beset upon by assassins intent on causing chaos as they try to finish building the city. A lot happens in this installment of the series. The story and characters were intriguing and engaging. I look forward to reading more about these characters and their further adventures. This book is definitely worth reading.
This book along with the previous books of this series are well written with a great story line ,that makes it hard to put down. These books are fast paced and are full of action and adventure. This series is a good read for anyone who likes fantasy adventurestorirs.
Evan and Alyona are finishing protections for Hatra in preparation for a tour around Rahma to solidify support for their marriage and eventual rule. Monsters, assassins, and nacromancers attack, take time, and get in the way of reconstruction. I like the action, humor, and lust/romance. I look forward to the next book.
The Dragon Emperor series contoniues to impress me. I love Evans character in fact all the series's characters. Even the necromancer was intresting. I'm especially anticipating what Valerra will do to that bastard who killed her family. When she and Evan finally catch him.
Oh I really do like dragon emperor the love the fight to keep what is right keep those you know and love safe. Has just enough drama to be good but not to be distasteful enough sex in it to keep any adult entertained. Plenty of action and adventure The slice of Life stuff mixed with the harsh reality of life just so good and the Green Glass set can burn
Good addition to the over all story but a little odd that the hole time during the consuction of the place val want mentioned and odd she did not come during the battle on the mountain
I really liked this book for some reason. I think because of the last few chapters. Try these books out. They way not be for everyone. But you just may like them.
Man Eric has done it again with another fantastic work. Evan’s continued adventures as the lord of Hatra are masterfully written and I can’t wait for the next one.
The books just keep getting better. This book was a major step up in how the story is going. To see Evan show such heart with all the times they city has been attacked is heart warming.
As Master Vall slowly reveals his story, it is nice to get more pieces on the board and see some of the complications foreshadowed. This book brings a number of items to a solid close so the story can move forward. Definitely looking forward to book6
This entry was great however it did seem to drag in a few spots, but that’s very rare for this series and it helped flush out the story progression so I’m more than pleased with it.
Every one of the authors works is spectacular, and Dragon Emperor is a true shinning star amongst them. This story has all you could desire from an epic work of fantasy!
All in all pretty good book and series, mc is very egotistical, the writing gets a little lazy at times, all that said I still want to read the next book.
