Generally I liked it, but I wouldn’t say it’s for complete beginners. I would have liked more explanation on how to meditate on a subject without thinking about it.
Very slight and simple to the point of not really being very helpful and (IMO) gets a few things wrong. For example, walking meditation is described as basically just taking a walk. If you know nothing, it will give you an idea of what meditation is. If you seriously want to learn how to meditate, look elsewhere. Might be helpful for a middle schooler doing a research assignment.
I loved the first two books of this series but this one wasn't great. If you are completely new to meditation, this book might be perfect for you. Since I have been meditating every night for years, this book was incredibly simplistic.
These 3 books have helped me a lot, to calm my anxiety and stop the thought process that is detrimental to my well-being. You don't have to be Buddhist to practice a lot of what they teach in these books either
I picked this book up by chance, and it was a clear guide to getting my meditation practice started. It's also easy to refer back to if you'd like to review something you forgot.
