The Ring Master

Rate this book
From Spandau prison, where he is the third substitute Rudolf Hess since the original left for Valhal, Eddie tells the story...

He recalls the years when he served the Ring Master's Inner Circle as Parsifal, the pure fool not yet made wise and still in quest of the grail while to the lovely Edwina, "Sister and Bride", he served as Siegmund to Sieglinde from those first stirrings of the blood of the Volsungs.

Wonderful, but not for the faint hearted.

One of the best books I have ever read (and I have read it many times!). Extremely funny and extremely sad, it conjures up a world long since vanished, exposing nazism and how banal its leaders were, and how easy it was for people to be fooled by them. It deserves far more than 5 stars!

Fecal garbage, effluently allusive without the slightest depth. Pulp detritus cobbled together by an dull mind. It's to my own shame I finished this tripe.
