Pet is book three in the Ember brother’s series. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. William is a successful lawyer for the mob in Las Vegas. Cara is a nineteen-year-old college student that finds herself in danger. When Cara is kidnapped by the mob and gifted to William, She doesn’t expect to find love. William is determined to get himself and Cara out of the situation alive. What he doesn’t expect is to fall in love.
The chemistry between William and Cara is clear to see and I liked them as a couple.
I really liked the ending and the epilogue for this story.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read.

I ❤ Will! He was a complete sweetheart. Despite how Cara came to stay with him, he always treated her with the utmost respect. Was strong, determined, dedicated, caring, even loving and tender. Just the total package! Cara, even though she'd'd been (and intermittently was still) terrified by recent events and situations was also strong and determined. Creative, caring, sharing, just discovering who she was.

Would they be able to see past the unfortunate and ugly terms of their situation and embrace the beauty beneath? Would Cara be his 'pet' forever, forced to forgo the future she once craved? Find out by reading Pet by Adele Niles today!

Another great read by this author. Just when you think your life if going great one wrong move and it can all change in a second. Cara had no idea going to visit her father would land her in the situation she’s in. Her father owes the mob money and they’ve come to collect and collect they did, she was the prize. Mob boss James has an idea he wants to give her as a gift to his unsuspecting lawyer William. These two are thrown together under the worst circumstances and William assured her he had no idea and would never hurt her. Only time will tell if they can live together until a time she could be free. This is a short read, you will love it. I found this book o. BookSprout.

This is book three in the Ember Brothers series. This is Williams story. He is a lawyer and has the mob as one of his clients. This client keeps him on his toes and comes with its own unique set of perks. For compensation for a job, he is given Cara. He is torn what to do with her. If he does not accept her, she will still be a slave and in the mob's clutches. If he accepts, what is he going to do with her? As the days go by, these two start to get more comfortable and feelings begin to change. Can there be HEA? A quick but exciting read. Enjoy!

He is a mob lawyer, she is payment for a debt. Neither asked for this, but perhaps there is more here than expected.

This is a mafia romance story, so there is violence around the corner, but not up close and personal. The story is well written and easy to read, but the best part are the characters. The characters are really well written and bring the story to life. The bad guys are despicable but our hero and heroine are wonderful and find a growing attraction. They have some definite hurdles to overcome, but they work together to build a new HEA. Overall, a very enjoyable read.

Highly recommended.

This is the 3rd book in the series but it can be read as a stand-alone. Will is an attorney for the mob and is given Cara as “compensation” for all of his hard work. He doesn’t want Cara but he can’t offend the men he works for so she comes to live with him. What will happen when sparks start to fly between them. Fast-paced read with steamy chemistry, great characters and plenty of drama. An entertaining addition to this series. I loved it!

This was different but still fun to read. William and Cara weren't wanting what they were given but it would be hard to deny they did share a connection. The more they got to know each other, the more they actually wanted each other. I was left wanting more though.

Another great story by Ms. Niles. This is book 3 in the Ember Brothers series. Each book can be read as a standalone. William and Cara met under not so good circumstances and watching their relationship unfold was great to see. Loved the chemistry that was between them.

wonderfully short and powerful story .. reads away quickly .. ideal for in between. the characters get to know each other due to circumstances and finally fall apart. I enjoyed myself with this story. from me 4 stars.

Well written, well developed, quick, and consistent with an interesting story line. It is an edge of your seat exciting read with suspense, fear, kidnapping, likeable characters, and steamy chemistry. Definitely recommended.

Cara was given to Will as a gift from his crazy mob boss. He could not let her leave because they were being watched. They get to know each other and develop a relationship. That is the highlight of this story.

This was an enjoyable short story. Cara is sold off to pay for her fathers debt. She is given to William as a gift. The problem is that he isn't sure how to handle this situation. He just tries to keep her safe. They of course fall in love along the way and get their happy ending.

William & cara story was intense and intriguing from the very beginning to the end. I am so glad that they figured out their relationship.
