The Encyclopedia of the Ted Bundy Murders

Rate this book
"Sullivan's A-to-Z coverage of Ted Bundy provides a solid guide to the people and places that define the man and the monster, including some not present in other Bundy narratives. It nicely rounds out his Bundy oeuvre and gives readers an extensive reference tool on one of the world's most infamous serial killers." - Katherine Ramsland, author of Confession of a Serial Killer: The Untold Story of Dennis Rader, the BTK Killer.

The Encyclopedia of the Ted Bundy Murders lists the names of hundreds of people involved in the case as well as dozens of locations where significant events occurred. Being the final installment in a five-volume series, this veritable “Who’s Who” of the Bundy murders, is the kind of book you’ll want to keep handy as you study the case because there is no other book on the market quite like it.

A writer of history and true crime, Kevin M. Sullivan is the author of 15 books, including what has now become with the publication of this book, a 5-volume set covering the life and murders of Ted Bundy. Indeed, because of his almost 14-year immersion into this many-faceted case, Sullivan has been a guest on documentaries pertaining to the killer on REELZ, HLN (CNN's Headline News), the Oxygen Network, and ABC's 20/20 program, as well as many radio shows and podcasts.

This 5th book by Kevin Sullivan on the subject of Ted Bundy really is the icing on the cake, as far as I’m concerned. It has everything a serious Bundyphile could want, to look things up on him, with names, dates, and places, all having to do with him and his cases. What a wonderful reference guide on Bundy that will be useful for years to come. I’ve never seen anything quite like it, and it has become one of my favorite Ted books already for checking things. I think of it as my “Bundy Bible” of all things Bundy. I’d recommend it for any serious true crime student or anyone doing research about Ted Bundy, it’s just so comprehensive. Review copy provided by WildBlue Press and author Kevin Sullivan in exchange for a fair review.

This Encyclopedia is an absolute must-have for any Bundy aficionado
!
The book easy to to follow and extremely comprehensive. Keep in mind this book is literally an encyclopedia, so if you are looking for more of a story stlye book about Ted Bundy, you will want to avoid this.

Honestly I think its to nice to have a Ted Bundy book formatted this way, its perfect for research or to use along with other Bundy Books to help keep people and events straight. The Encyclopedia of the Ted Bundy Murders lists the names of hundreds of people involved in the case as well as dozens of locations where significant events occurred.

I was extremely pleased with this book and will be looking into Kevin Sullivans other works.

The Encyclopedia of the Ted Bundy Murders
By: Kevin Sullivan

This is exactly as advertised, an encyclopedia of people, places and

events connected to Ted Bundy. It is a way to get short information

without any major details.

The narration was well done by Adam Hebert.

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have

voluntarily left this review.

Kevin Sullivan's fifth book on Ted Bundy is an alphabetical listing of names and places related to the notorious serial killer. I was familiar with most of the entries and the one I would have liked more details on is the one on a childhood friend named Warren Dodge who was born on the same day only twenty minutes apart.
A couple of Mormon missionaries are included and they convinced Bundy to join their flock. I believe that he was removed from the LDS roster after his convictions in Florida.
One of the stranger entries is that of Denise Naslund. Her body was "loaned" to the family for a funeral Mass but was subsequently lost. Rose Naslund received a cash settlement for the stupidity of King County.
Many of the names are of people on the periphery of the story, such as friends and acquaintances of the victims. Two women were dating Bundy simultaneously, Liz Kloepfer and Leslie Knutson, and both are briefly described. The man could surely multitask.
Sam Worthington is one of the last names listed and will always remain the most mysterious. Louise Cowell claimed that the supposed sailor was the father of baby Teddy Cowell. Many writers have attempted to find this man but no one has been able to uncover any information on this ghost.
It is now 2023 and a fellow "Bundyphile" has listed "Memories of the Beast" as a 2022 book and another one on Ted is to be published later this year by Mark Olshaker.
The Encyclopedia of TB is a useful addition to the ever growing library on Mr. Bundy.

Lots of new information...

...but the editing is atrocious! If you're a true follower of Bundy, you'll find many interesting tidbits here. Just beware of that editing!

It was literally an encyclopedia - and not a very complete one at that. Normally, I like Mr. Sullivan's books. Just didn't need an encyclopedia.
