Jackson was once just the pottery teacher Amber drooled over, but now he’s invited her into his world. Will she take a chance on a new life, or will Jackson’s dark secret turn her dream into a nightmare? This short story is set in Hogback, Suki McMinn’s fictional North Carolina town created for The Vampire of Waller County, and was originally published in the romance anthology Love in Bloom.
Suki McMinn writes romantic comedy, contemporary and paranormal romance, and cozy mystery.
She was a model and commercial actor in Los Angeles for twenty-nine years, worked for Elvira, Mistress of the Dark, for seventeen years, and dated Jerry Seinfeld for eight years. Suki now lives in Phoenix, Arizona, with her husband and pets and spends her summers in Tryon, North Carolina.
Suki grew up in Asheville, North Carolina, and earned an English literature degree from the University of Tennessee before pursuing a career in front of the camera in Hollywood. She's a founding member of Tryon Writers and contributes stories to charity anthologies for The New Romance Cafe.

I’ve loved Suki McMinn’s stories for some time and this one certainly doesn’t disappoint. It has the romance, the humor and the ... ahem ... hotness I’ve come to expect from her. It’s a second chance romance with a twist. A BIG twist. The MMC, Jackson, has changed since the MFC, Amber, last saw him. Has he changed too much? This is a short story and a stand-alone, though it’s slightly connected to Suki McMinn’s Hogback series.
This is Short story about our heroine who reconnects with a pottery teacher from college. She has degree in hospitality but can't find a job so is doing web set up services and he contacts her for help with a new gallery he is opening. She and Nathan are meant for each other, but he has a secret. He has been turned into a vampire. Our story ends with her accepting this. I received this story for free but this is an honest review. In fact I have already purchased the first book in the series.
