"How can a man be worse than a beast?"
After being trapped in the town of Du Ciel and isolated from the outside world for seven years, Belle's life was only going to get worse. Her eighteenth birthday, which marks her eligible and places her in the next name drawing for what is called the Offering, draws near causing her father to push her to marry without love to save herself. Her long time best friend Gaston starts to act strange, and everything that could go wrong does. Since Belle is poor and the other four girls, whose names are also in the next drawing, happen to be from four out of the five most prestigious families in the town, she believes she will be picked by default. This leaves her with one of two choices: give up the last sliver of freedom she has left and marry to save herself or risk being sent to Castle Leroux where the supposed Beast lurks and an unknown fate awaits her.
But, what if the Beast was the least of her problems?

Tedious read

It was a struggle getting through this book. I honestly could not believe all of the numerous grammatical errors and run on sentences. Many everyday common words were outright misspelled, over and over again, like the manuscript was never proofread. It could have been a good story had it been edited properly and condensed.

Jess is a dear friend of mine and I won’t be biased because she is, but I thoroughly enjoyed my time with Evermore. It was an immersive retelling and was such a fun read. Especially during fall, truly the best time for fantasy.
Evermore is on kindle unlimited (wink wonk) and Jess has been working on another book called switched and I cannot wait for her to finish it (kindle unlimited has been a blessing lol)
Very proud of her and can’t wait to read more of her work!!
