INTRO

I didn’t think my life could get any more complicated than it already was. Yeah, I guess that’s what I get for thinking.
Finding out my dad, who I thought was long gone, is alive and well? Finding out that I have a long-lost twin brother? Then finding out that we’re all wolf shifters? Yeah, that’s been my complicated and confusing life for the past few weeks. Turns out that Sam, my dad, is the Alpha of the Hallow Pack and after exploring my wolf, we find out that I’m an Alpha female. It’s a rare thing, but hey, it’s no surprise. Then there’s Mason, my brother’s best friend and Alpha to a neighboring Pack. We haven’t been able to stay away from each other. Turns out we’re each other’s mates, not only that, we’re Fated. Big problem. Being Fated puts a big target on both of us, it could kill us both. Being Fated if one mate dies, the other does as well. Yeah, in this case love does suck.
Well, then things get even more complicated. Someone thinks that I belong to them and that the Hallow pack has stolen me from them. That target I was talking about? Yeah, this is it. Suddenly we’re under attack, wolves come from everywhere and I’m their main focus. They’ve been sent for me and they’re not leaving without me. I wake up in a room and can’t get out, head pounding. The biggest and most shocking part of it all? The person that I see standing in front of me, isn’t the person that I would ever expect to see. I’ve been betrayed and my heart breaks. I’m held against my will with no way out. Shifting to my wolf won’t help me in here, I’m stuck until someone comes for me. The only question is, after all the people that have already betrayed me who can I trust now? It’s up to me to get myself out of here and I will. These assholes may think they’ve won, but the game is far from over. They’ve messed with the wrong girl. I’ve spent my whole life fighting; I’ll be damned if I will just roll over and submit to the Bastards.

As a mother to 3 kids(4 if you count my husband!)I'm kept on my toes all day long. I love to read anything I can get my hands on and would rather spend my nights curled up with a good book. I live in Southern, MD and enjoy the quiet life that it provides. When my head isn't in a book it's in my computer.

17?

The author should have had her leading lady be a woman as opposed to a kid. I wasn't comfortable with the sex scenes since this was a kid who had just turned 17. She drank shots of whisky & although she was supposed to be a strong kick-ass woman she came across as a mouthy kid.

I skim-read this so I won’t leave a rating. It picks up right where Fated left off. There’re the same grammar/typo issues, and the writing style is wordy/padded.

Jenny doing this has broken her word with doing this and has made her an enemy.

This book is a bit all over the place. We have several more POV’s added to the mix. (the 3 “baddies”) This is the problem with first person POV; we have to hop along from person to person so they can “tell” us what’s going on. Also, the author repeats/overlaps part of the convo as a means of transitioning to a new POV, which made it repetitive.

The character development was missing again. I think it would work better if Cammie were an adult; she’s supposed to be a super “bad-ass” alpha, but comes off as a confrontational, mouthy teenager. She lacks any finesse as a leader, and is so aggressive she emasculates Mason, and a wimpy alpha male doesn’t work. IMHO

Bottom Line- Much of the same, except longer.

Ok story

This was an ok story not great not bad. What ruined it for me was all the grammar issues. These problems made it difficult to read and follow.

I still love the premise of this story- and I even enjoy the playfulness of Cammie and her brother, Cameron. I enjoyed the villains, and their points of view, but I wish we had to work harder to figure them out and their motives. Though, they did have a legit motive. Greed and lust. I like how committed Mason is to Cammie, and I love Sam, Cameron, and Cammie's friends. I enjoyed how the story kept up in pacing, so it was never a dull moment, and it had some good humor along the way as well.

My hang ups were-
1. editing & formatting
2. Sometimes the characters felt childish- though some were still late teens, but having to fill big leadership roles... they should have sounded a bit more mature.
3. Cammie- not a big fan of hers. She comes off too rough and gruff for me. I like that she is tough, that's good, but sometimes her mannerisms, grouchiness, and cussing at everyone, and trying to assert alpha ways into the pack bothered me.
3. I needed to actually read what happened to Jenny, rather than the outcome being alluded to.
4. The couple say they never told anyone they were fated mates...but some people do know- even some of the bad guys knew. I want to say my memory is correct in one of them mentioning it? But someone told- so when it's asked if anyone knows, and they're like no- then that's bull to me. Oh right- Cammie does tell Gage that Mason is her fated mate... soooooooo

Terribly formatted

I struggled through the fist of these books. It wouldn't be a bad story if someone took the time to format it and check it over.
There are no new paragraphs between speakers, new people coming into a scene or where there is a natural break needed. Instead the entire scene is written as one long piece with no breaks.
Some of the scenes are single spaced and really close together, others are double spaced and there are less than 10 lines a page. There is no rhyme or reason to which are double and which aren't. Some swap half way through a scene. It makes it difficult to read because the text is constantly bringing you away from the story.
There are also missued words throughout. Bronze was used instead of braun twice.
And the author never seems to have heard of show don't tell. Everything in the description is repeated in the speech to a point where it is like reading every sentence twice.
Ive read just shy of 200 books so far this year, this is the first I didnt finish.
Wish I could give a better review but I hope the author takes note and fixes the issues, especially as a single read could pick up on a lot of them.

Horrible!

The plot itself isn’t terrible, but there are a lot of inconsistencies in the storyline, and don’t get me started on the grammar. I don’t think I’ve read a book as bad as this series when it comes to grammar, syntax, spelling etc. It’s atrocious!

As with the first of this series, I really enjoyed the ending to Mason and Cammie's story, it has a good storyline with well developed characters but it could do with editing or maybe the author should have a beta team read through future works.
I hope to read more in the series.

*****May have some Spoilers!!!!!!*****

This book.. I am giving it a 2 star because it was a good read , just really difficult one ... and so much going on I mean 4 villains?!?!

Also this book needs to go back through an editor or something .. so many grammar and wrong spelling of words and even a part where it was the wrong character coming out of the bedroom and the set up of it ... it was hard to follow who was talking or saying something and it was just paragraphs and then double spaced paragraphs.

The story line was good, I liked the story and the people. I am confused on some things... so her dad was unmated but had twins with a junkie hoe? like isn't the mother a shifter? and really honestly would Sam really send his daughter out with a junkie mom and NOT CHECK ON THEM? and she just forgives them like o ok that for my safety but really i don't think people of a pack would outcast the kids that didn't have the shifter in them that seems really wrong. Also why was gage sent to live with his aunt ? why wasn't he made to stay with the pack if it was so dangers for them to be around humans?

I think that if could of been another 2 books with all the villain and stuff going on ... maybe giving the charters more justice to get more back story and information and more thought in to the mom and everything in the beginning.

Spoiler

Spoiler ahead .

One thg that is kills the story for me is if ur mate dies u die. So all these wolf's who die their mates will die too. That's so sad n too extreme. I wouldnt want a mate if thats how my life would be. I be looking over my shoulder all the time n trust no one ..N this story lacks so much info. About the mother of Cameron n Cammie. N Cammie jus forgives Sam for giving her away n not checking on his daughter. I would not be so forgiving to Mason or Sam . N I agree Gage was a Lil crazy but death . Could hv jus lockd him up. He didnt hv to die . Again too extreme. I admit he did very wrong but death. The story has alot of potential. N what happened to Jenni. Would hv loved for her to get her butt whooped by Cammie. This was one of the 1st story's I read when I discovered kindle . Came bk for a reread n I'm smh. I crave for details n information on characters. Loved Mason n Cammie together. But hate that he slept with Jenni. Always has to be the male who sleeps with the enemy. Anyways need a rewrite. Would love to see Cammie pregnant n her m Mason married.

Good Story

Cammie and Mason are back again. The book begins with Cammie kidnapped by Micah. There are many twists in who actually arranged her kidnapping and paid Micah. And of course Micah changes it up and plays his own games and tries to auction off Cammie. Eventually Mason, Sam and Cameron find Cammie with some help and take her home. Gage is back and still us delusional and Cammie finally gets to confront him.

Cammie and Mason officially mate. And Mason takes Cammie back to his pack which is very old fashioned. So of course Cammie stirs up quite of a lot of stuff and removes generations of old fashion traditions. There is also betrayal in Mason’s pack that leads to Micah coming back to try to kidnap Cammie again. In the end Mason and Cammie get the HEA.

There is quite a lot of grammatical, spelling and punctuation mistakes but overall it’s a good book.

desperately needs an editor!

Could have been a good story. I finished it but almost didn’t (which I never do!). It’s extremely obvious the author doesn’t have an editor, and was attempting to rush through writing the book. The overall storyline is good, but TONS of spelling, grammatical, punctuation and formatting errors. Makes reading very difficult, as some words don’t even resemble what they should say. Also, lots of repetitive sentences with different points of view. It was clear the author needed some filler content, as the book would be half the size or smaller if the repetitiveness was removed. Would not recommend to others, which is sad because it could have been a good book.

Good story no editing

Let's get one thing straight...
I loved the story and it was amazing. My only problem with it is the same with the first book no editing or kindle really didn't do a good job translating what the author wrote into kindle format. I couldn't stand the long paragraphs that should have been separated. As well as there was a bunch of missing punctuation.
I really love the story and the characters, but there was just so much missing that I wish I could have enjoyed it more.

Sooooo many typos!

There were so many typos. Reading this gave me a headache. There’s weird line spacing in some of the chapters and for some reason some curse words are capitalized. On top of that this book was rushed. And the bad guys unbelievable even for a fantasy werewolf book. There’s a few other issues. Whole story needs to be reworked and add a couple years to the characters.

Such a dissapointment

This book is so badly edited, punctuated and formatted it takes away from the story. I badly wanted to just keep going, but I couldn't. Run on sentences, no punctuation, wrong words or spelling.
The story just runs together and not in a good way. It feels like the two main characters are constantly whining, they are supposed to be strong and yet they come off as if they were toddlers.
I'm so disappointed, I had higher hopes and they were crushed.

Ok read.

This was ok. There was a lot of spelling or grammer errors. This is also about a 17 year old and some of the things she does is not what any 17 year old should know how to do, like going through inventory books to find fraud. Plus there's a lot of sex which I like in a book but not when she's 17!!!! Also some of it was rushed. Then in some parts the author would switch character and then would replay what was just said which was annoying as hell.

bad proofreading!

This was a good storyline except this book had WAY to many errors that should have been caught! I mean come on! The sentence that says, “ he start to rub HIS back to help soothe Her”. Really? I could keep up with what the author wanted to say, but this book seemed like she just wrote it in one day and felt that was good enough. Please, authors, take the time to have a good proofreader and then you proof it too!

For the record

For the record I liked the storyline but hated all the grammatical errors and the missed phrases. It is brains over brawn not bronze. Its they have another think coming not another thing coming. Don't get me started on all the misspelled words or the one time pls was used instead of please and it was inside quotation marks. I've seen better work from a high school sophmore.

It just kept dragging on... DND @ 57%

Too many "bad guys", too many betrayals...I could buy the first two, but the third one was a little much for me. As with the first book, there is no down time, until that's all we seemed to have. While the first book had a few typos, this one was FULL of them to the point that it was distracting. I reported a lot of them, and then I was just over it. This author has a lot of potential, but I couldn't bring myself to want to finish this book.

Great Story!

I rated the book 4 stars because it needs to be edited. The plot is 5 stars. After one of Mason and Cammie's nights together Cameron burst through the door. The writing states Cameron when it is supposed to be Mason. There was a few words, ex - lose that should have been loose. Loved the story and it has potential.

My top 5 fav

This book has it all! The cover is sexy and appealing! it picks up from book 1 about cammie and Mason being not only mates but dated mates. Their love is strong enough to get them through the betrayal that falls on them. It's got hot love scenes and action that has you on edge. Hea

It was hard to really enjoy both books. Premise was good and that is the only reason I read both of them. But it was a struggle as the grammar and formatting are horrendous! Misspelling is rampant throughout the books. Then there are these huge paragraphs where multiple people are speaking and you have to stop and reread it to see who it saying what. Terrible!

Overall a it has a likable plot but the number of errors in here was tortuous.
Since this book has many different character perspective views showing their thoughts and intentions throughout the book, I saw that it got mixed up at times where it was confusing.

Also I would like to know what happened to Jenny, what was her fate???

Good story, needs to be edited.

I enjoyed the story. I feel like a few things could have been better explained or told differently. There was a lot of errors and I think the author should definitely go back and do some editing. Some names were messed up and lots of spelling mistakes. Otherwise it was a good read and I enjoyed the story.

My opinion

Everything about the story was well-got excitement jealousy hatred but it ended well and that’s what I like. I love the story it was good through and through and I loved its ending to a point. I would have wanted her and Mason to be able to have their baby and then the ending but smile always the way it is.

Editing

XXX! Adult content, reader discretion advised. The story is actually pretty good. It's to wrong word choice (i.e. to vs too), missing punctuation duplicate words. It's like no one proof read this book. I just can't get past it. The story of Campus discovering and defeating her enemies is really good. It's just too bad there are so many errors.

Mated

It’s a shame that such an interesting story was published with so very many spelling and grammar errors. Please have someone edit these books. They really do have an interesting storyline with some good plot twists that are thrown off course when you have to slog through the errors.

It was an ok read

This book has a great storyline and a great continuation from the first book but there are a lot of grammatical errors. I feel like it could've flowed better if the author reviewed the book and done better on editing.

I loved these books. Tami Payton is a wonderful author. I look forward to reading more of her books. Until the end, you did not know where everything would end up. Kept me up until 3:30 in the morning to finish. I couldn't put it down.

Great story line

I gave the book a three because the grammatical, typos and punctuation were very distracting. I thoroughly enjoyed the story line but some background on the characters would have been nice.
