CIA operations officer Quinn King will do whatever it takes to find the person who killed her partner. She follows the evidence to Innovative Rocket Technologies, a start-up company and current darling of the rocket world. Their most recent launch, however, ended in an explosion that Quinn believes is connected to her partner’s death.
The CIA sends Cam Mitchell to provide backup for Quinn — and to make sure she isn't too emotionally invested. With Cam watching her back, Quinn embeds herself at IRT. She soon discovers there is more to the failed launch than IRT has shared with the public. And someone has a vested interest in keeping that information under wraps.
When the CIA finds new evidence that someone is actively sabotaging the next launch, they call in Parker, Ree and Mike from the FBI to help manage a growing number of loose ends. However, once Cam and Quinn realize why the rocket is being sabotaged, it puts them right in the crosshairs of a killer.

Riveting and Tense!
CIA agent Quinn King lost her partner under suspicious circumstances. She fights to be a part of the investigative team despite her emotional investment in the case. Her sleuthing leads her to Innovative Rocket Technologies, but if she hopes to infiltrate IRT, she will need backup.
Enter Cam Mitchell, who is sent in to watch Quinn’s back. It becomes clear early on that someone had sabotaged a failed rocket launch and now someone is trying to cover it up. Calling in additional troops to help them uncover the conspiracy, the FBI sends in the elite team of Parker, Ree and Mike.
Together they work to uncover a motive behind the sabotage, putting themselves in grave danger…
This third installment of the ‘Calculated’ series brings the two biggest investigative agencies together, for a terrifying, race against time thrill ride. The mood of the novel is in keeping with the two previous installments, with the intrigue is as important as the suspense. The pacing is still quite brisk, but this story relies a little less on action this time around, and allows the plot to develop more as a whodunit.
It is always nice to see the relationship development between the two agencies as well as the romantic entanglements- both old and new.
While I agree that each of the books in the series can be read as a stand-alone there was a continuum thread running alongside the main storyline that those who did not read the previous installment may not fully grasp, so I do suggest reading the series in order for optimum enjoyment.
I am really looking forward to the next installment in this series due out in November of 2019!

I liked the book over all but this was the first in the series where I didn't really like the relationship. I didn't dislike it by any means, I just personally thought they'd be better as friends.
I definitely enjoyed Quinn as a character and her first meeting with Cam was great. I liked the mystery and it kept me guessing as to who the bad guy was. Also always love to see Parker and Ree make a reappearance. My lack of enjoyment in the ship bumps my rating down to about a 3.5-3.75 stars, but it's still worth rounding up to 4.
Nice and fun read. Got one of the series for free and enjoyed it and purchased the other three. My primary reading time is at airports and planes and I like that they are easy to read and follow. I am not a romance book reader so I like that the romance is pretty light and more about solving the case.
Well, it's an average book. I got this book via Bookbub. It is 4th book(there is even an introductory book to the series) in a serial, but it is possible to read even if you haven't read those that go before this one. I gave it 3 stars because there are some parts I disliked, the characters' conversations, especially those between Cam and Quinn. Some things are such clichés and predictable.
A very well written story. Excellent characters, good storyline, plot pulled the reader along. The author maintained some uncertainty about how the bad folks were, resulting in some unexpected twists. She got the CIA and FBI to place nice together. She pulled in some outside characters that you could really relate to. Definitely a recommended read.
I'm trying to remember how this book even made it into my ebook collection - I must have gotten it on an algorithm reccomendation for discount reads or something. I won't be going back to the series, but if you're a fan of CBS procedurals involving the CIA/FBI, I could see you enjoying this. The dialogue reminded me of shows like Blacklist or Quantico.
It's a good, enjoyable read that allows to "visit" the exciting world of NASA and space rockets, while coming along on a crime solving journey - all with a tingle of romance. What's not to like?
Exciting and interesting read. Many twist and turns and several guesses as to who the real crooks are. In the end it is not who you thought it would be. Good writing.
Enjoyed reading this novel about satellites and law enforcement officers going undercover to find spies and saboteurs, male and female characters on both sides of the law.
Sabotage at NASA This fictional FBI/CIA story is rated PG, in my view. The story involves industrial sabotage that goes clear to NASA. The story moves quickly with a well thought out plot, good character development, and a very satisfying ending. I read this as part of the Calculated Box Set.
CIA agent Quinn King is trying to find the person who killed her partner. She takes on a case where a rocket explodes shortly after launch. Before long, NASA, the FBI and CIA are all working together.
I loved the book until the end or non end to be more exact. I totally dislike when an author leaves a book hanging at the end in an attempt to ensure the reader's purchase of the next installment. A huge turn off for me and ruined an otherwise enjoyable book.
Very good book. I liked the light banter between cam & Quinn. Enjoyable exchanges and books moves very fast and keeps you glued to your seat. Five stars all the way.
Quinn was generally partnered with Rory, who was better at socializing, at at recruiting folks.
Somehow, Rory stumbled over the wrong person and then died from a faulty gas line. Tampering and likely someone with inside info, but not enough evidence to prove that.
Cam is a retired SEAL, and weapons guy. When the two meet , Cam thinks he has cornered a spy. Quinn just responds to a perceived threat. What’s a black eye and head butt among friendlies?
Even if they can track down a saboteur or two, the gent that made Quinn familiar to Cam is still out there- and he doesn’t seem done yet.
Intense action, science stuff and romance.

this book...was good ig the main thing about it was that it was SO!!! LONG!!!! and there were so many characters and so many lines and it was all SO LONG and at the end there really was no point -_- because of how many storylines there are, there were so many POVs and so many names and it was a mess and it was SO LONG I only finished it because I was sick and lay in bed and had nothing better to do there was a lot of technical jargon and also stuff that I wasn't sure was strictly accurate it was really long and boring, idk what else to say lol
A spy thriller where Quinn has lost her old partner Rory who was murdered and is meeting her new partner Cam. Because they don’t know each other, they each try to arrange things that will suit their modus operandi. Of course it backfired as they each plan to get to the location days ahead of the other and almost blow the cover story due to trust issues. I did enjoy it and would definitely read more by this author.
One of the best series I have ever read. Not a lot of gory fluff just a great story. This almost makes me believe in the alphabet soup of our government again. If only their overseers were as good as this author. You should not miss this series.
