Written by the founder of Action Coach International. This is a good self help book, there are a lit of tips though, but many is for retail or distributor of goods. Well, some of the tricks could be used universally, but the explanation also in general context.
Great ideas (and literally hundreds of them), however he repeats himself over and over. If he compressed it down to half its length with the same content, it would have been much better.
While this book has some good advice, I found it to be more of a sales tool for Action International. It offers 282 business tips, but I found them to be repetitive and/or obsolete. I read the 2nd edition which was written in 2004 & leaves off many of the internet marketing ideas of today. It focuses on newspaper & print as the best ways to market. If you skip the marketing chapter, many of the other business ideas are pretty good. A nice light refresher course for business owners - skim for some great ideas you can put into practice today, but there are far better motivational business books out there.
I bought the entire series of Brad's books after reading "Billionairre in Training" and "The Business Coach".
The rest of the books in this series retouch on the basics laid down in "The Business Coach" and expand on some of the philosophies and strategies a little.
I don't think these books were created to work as part of an overall series but moreso as individual books independant of each other. The Business Coach summed them all up neatly without the padding.
Quite possibly one of the best books I've read on small business marketing. Easy to digest and implement, with immediately recognizable results. There is something for every kind of small business here.
I give this one four stars not because it's a great read, but because it has great ideas that can be implemented in your company immediately...this is a great book to pick up when you're feeling stale in your business
