Droplets is a short memoir of persistence and perseverance, derived from the culture shock of moving from the southern part of India to Canada. Ajay Nair shares how he survived a strict parental upbringing, why he hated books so much, and his struggles with running out of money, living in a railway station, and travelling without food.

About the author

Ajay Nair is the author of novel "The Woman with Two Shadows". A promising nail biter, edge of your seat journey, soon to be published by Tridev Publishers. His other works include children's book like Cutie Fox stories and Cutie Fox wen to Fiji. He is also an established poet. He earned a Silver Literary Titan Award for his creativity. He is born and raised in a middle class South Indian family. He over came societal pressures to pursue his passion for creating beautiful women empowering stories. Now living in Canada for the past two decades with his family. He continue to try and inspire readers.

It needs some editing, but over all it's an interesting memoir. I thought it was just European parents who beat and berated their children, nice to learn other cultures parents are no better. Perhaps it's just the peasant varieties that are so awful. It's good Mr. Nair escaped to a better life in Canada. I think maybe he should have included more of his life since moving there. I see he's written other books, so I 'm guessing he's come to finally learn to enjoy them!

This memoir about a boy growing up in the Indian school system is fascinating! Author Ajay Nair engages the reader with a touch of humor in an otherwise serious story about the high stakes of studying in India's schools and universities.
