I started writing my first stories when I was a teen…on a freaking typewriter. I still have these, and they’re adorably romantic. And bad, haha. Fear of failing kept me from following my dream to become a romance author, so you can imagine how proud and ecstatic I am that I finally overcame my fears and self doubt and did it. I adore my genre because I love writing and reading about flawed, strong men who are just a tad broken..but find their happy ever after anyway.
My favorite books to read are pretty much all MM/gay romances as long as it has a happy end. Kink is a plus… Aside from that, I also read a lot of nonfiction and not just books on writing. Popular psychology is a favorite topic of mine and so are self help and sociology.
Hobbies? Ain’t nobody got time for that. Just kidding. I love traveling, spending time near the ocean, and hiking. But I love books more.

Such a sweet age play book.

I liked this one much better than the first book in this series!
We met Raf and Brendan in the first book, but this started before the events in that one and we got to find out how Raf and Brendan started their relationship. (So you can read this as a stand-alone if you want.)
Brendan is a daddy without a boy to care for. When he overhears a conversation between two friends when he is at the BDSM club, he knows he has to help the boy who sounds so distressed.
Raf doesn’t know that to do anymore. His friend Rhys has introduced him to BDSM in the hope it would help with his ADHD and bring him some peace. But so far everything Raf tried has been a bust.
When Brendan introduces himself to Raf, Raf isn’t sure what to think. Just one more Dom to disappoint? But when Brendan tells him he wants to try something, Raf just goes with it. It’s not long before Raf falls asleep on Brendan’s lap, sucking his tumb.
Brendan thinks Raf might like being a little, so he tells the sweet boy he is a Daddy Dom and that he would like to try to see how Raf likes age play. When Raf agrees Brendan is over the moon.
The two meet up again at Brendan’s house and Raf finds out he really loves it when Daddy Brendan takes care of him. It even quiets the noises in his head.
This book was just adorable! Raf was the cutest little ever, and Brendan was such a good Daddy for him.
This had no relationship angst whatsoever and I just loved these two together. Raf had a lot of trauma from his childhood, and he also had trouble functioning well as an adult because his brain always seemed to be distracted by something. Luckily Brendan and how he cared for Raf really helped him.
I was glad to see not everything could be solved with cuddles and a binkie, so when Brendan suggested therapy for Raf I loved him even more.
This was a cute, sweet, adorable, low angst age play book about a 22 year old boy with ADHD and a 43 old Daddy who just wants to take care of his baby boy.

A Daddy/boy relationship tale that teaches us so much....
Dom, Rhys, is helping his dear friend, Raf, about 25, find the kind of satisfaction he seeks. Raf has has a rough childhood, and managed to get his degree in Education, but he is looking for someone to care about him finding fulfillment. Older Brandon hears their conversation and clues lead to Brandon’s expertise. Brandon and Raf hit it off right away. They begin talking and learning about Brandon’s kink as a Daddy Dom. Raf needs structure and TLC to cope with ADHD, life and adulthood. We learn a great deal about the Daddy/boy relationship, the reasons and explanations are wonderfully presented.
So much patience and care, devotion and heart, goes into each person in this dynamic.
Raf enjoys it and receives the attention and love he has never, ever received. He absorbs it like a sponge. They have a few learning moments, but with patience, therapy and understanding, things become more settled. Raf has some issues at his job, and is quite good at his work, but when he’s criticized for talking with a transgender boy at the school, he flashes back to his mean father, and he goes into a depression. With his steadfast Daddy to lean on, Raf gains his strength once again. Daddy and his boy are fantastic together, with hot, dirty sexy times and lots of “little” play.
This tale has marvelous descriptions of Daddy/boy play, and is quite heartwarming.

I liked Raf and Rhys in this story but I just found Brendon a bit dull.
Past the halfway mark it felt like there wasn’t a story to be told so it just sort of meandered on and I found myself skimming. The daddy kink stuff was written well but I couldn’t really get into it because I was bored by everything else.

This was the sweetest s*exy AF ABDL story ever! I love when a knowledgeable Daddy teaches a completely new to particular kink boy! This was at times adorable, a bit angsty and oh so good. I loved how Daddy Brandan stepped in to help Raf, how he anticipated his needs. Yes, at times there were misunderstandings due to their past getting the better of them, but they worked through them without unnecessary drama.
Raf has never fit in with the crowd. His father's cruelty and mother's neglect left deep scars that only got worse when he was diagnosed with ADHD. Only his friend Rhys stood by him through all the troubled times. Even after reaching adulthood, he is still unable to find himself in the sea of willing men and the variety of kinks that are on offer. After the latest debacle at the club, Raf is feeling desolate when an extremely attractive and s*exy older man intervenes and gives him what he needs. From that moment Raf starts exploring the side he didn't know he had but desperately needed to let out - his Little side. I loved the trust he put in Brendan and the way he tried to see if what he asked for he actually wanted or if it was only to please his Daddy. I loved the moment he agreed to help himself, especially after what he revealed about his past to Daddy Brendan. Boy, did I want to choke Raf's father for just a second! What a total a$$h*le!
Daddy Brendan is a patient and caring man, only he doesn't have a boy of his own to care for. The last attempt at serious relationship hurt him deeply and undermined his self-confidence when it comes to seeing people and their true feelings. So, when he hears a boy in distress, he can't help himself. He needs to comfort him. From the first cuddle, Brendan is hooked. Even when relationship goes smoothly, he is still plagued by his insecurities and both men go through emotional times. But when they reach understanding, they are just so adorable together. There is a perfect balance between Daddy/Little and grown up Raf/Brendan. I enjoyed this story a lot, and recommend it. Ms Phoenix captured Daddy/Little dynamics splendidly!

Brendan was the perfect Daddy for him and I really did like watching the relationship progress and seeing how Raf's ADHD was dealt with. I really haven't read much age play, but I liked the way it was laid out and I understood the appeal on both sides.
I do wish the story had had another pass for editing and proofreading though.

Heartwarming and sweet with lots of comfort/healing. Heavy on age play and actually occurs before Firm Hand but you could read either first. I enjoyed the story but didn't fall in love with the characters or feel like I got enough depth from them. I did appreciate the transgender rep regarding the storyline with the child that Raf teaches. Recommend if you like sweet stories with lots of comfort/healing and the full nine yards of age play.

This was honestly such a sweet and sexy read—definitely one of the softer ABDL stories I’ve read but in the best way. I love a good “Daddy helps a lost boy find himself” vibe, and Brendan totally delivered!!Like, he just got Raf, saw what he needed even before Raf did. And ugh, I loved the the way he was looking out for him.
Raf was such a sweetheart and my heart hurt for him. That trauma from his parents? Yeah, it left some deep scars, and you could really feel how lost he was—like trying to find a place in a world that never felt like home. The whole ADHD rep hit too, especially with how overwhelmed he felt in scenes. But then Brendan comes in—calm, steady, patient—and it just clicked. The trust Raf slowly gave him was really beautiful. I loved that he took time to figure out what he actually wanted, not just what he thought a good boy should want.
And can we talk about the chemistry? It was soft but still so hot. Brendan was the perfect Daddy—gentle, protective, but also clearly into Raf and unafraid to show it. Their dynamic felt balanced, like they could be in their roles but also just them. No unnecessary drama either—just two men dealing with their baggage and slowly building something real. Yeah, there were a few misunderstandings, but they talked, they listened, and it felt earned when they found their way back to each other.
Also... I wanted to throw hands at Raf’s father. Just putting that out there.

I don’t really have tons of thoughts about this one, other than that it was a well written book about a young man with ADHD and depression trying to find his place/people in this world. Up until this point he hadn’t found that one kink that really spoke to him. He finds a really patient and sweet older Daddy who introduces him to age play.
I enjoyed that it wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows all the way through. It’s still low angst and sweet, but maybe not as sugary sweet as some other D/l books tend to be.
His mind had conjured up about a million things that could go wrong, and he hadn’t even tried all that hard.
Definitely a few editing/proofing issues that took me out of the story at times, but I still enjoyed it.

I really enjoyed reading Raf and Brenden's story. I was so moved how Nora dealt with ADHD. It is a very serious problem and we need more people to take the time to understand what is going on and not shame our children.
Enough of my soapbox, great story. Enjoy the characters and it made me think of Rhys and Cornell. Might have to reread!

Raf and Brendan, they were perfect for each other and i loved seeing them grow since we saw them as an established couple in book one.
I can't wait for this novella to see all the couples so far. I also am excited for book three!!

That was one of the sweetest books I've ever read!
If you read "Firm Hand" before you already know Raf and Brendan since they popped up here and there in the first book. When Nora announced she is going to write their story for this free giveaway I was really looking forward to it and what can I say? She didn't disappoint!
Even though "Gentle Hand" is the second book in the series it is actually the prequel to their story and tells us how they met, fell into their Daddy/little relationship and most important: how they fell in love with each other!
My main problem with the first book was that the whole Daddy/boy relationship was really short-lived and not well-elaborated enough in my opinion. However Brendan and Raf were a dream couple and the whole Daddy/little relationship was the main topic of the whole book. They lived that lifestyle and absolutely loved it! Brendan was the perfect Daddy to Raf's sweet little side <3
This book is totally non angsty, sweet, adorable and - like the title already implies - a really gentle romance story. I really could have read another 100 pages of their story, of their Daddy/little time, their adult time and especially Raf's play time (took me back to my own childhood :D) - LOVED IT!
If you are looking for a book to dip your toes into age play and ABDL - this one here is your book! :)

An interesting book on "Daddy" and "littles" play. Raf has always been a disappointment to his parents, especially his father. His ADHD made his life miserable and difficult to navigate through. And what makes it worse is that he knows he is attracted to the "lifestyle" just as much as his best friend Rhys, but he has no idea what form of the lifestyle he is supposed to follow. That is until he literally wound up in the lap of a born Daddy. With Brendan, all he has ever wanted was a “little” to take care of and call his own. When he discovers the boy crying, in the next booth over in the club, he knows his search may finally be over. But can he let his ordeal with his last “boy” go so he can pursue the life he desires most? We first met Raf and Brendan in the first book in this series Firm Hand. Raf is Rhy's best friend. Although this is the second book in the series it actually comes before and then follows the storyline of the first book...if that makes any sense. The first book it was interesting allowing us to see how both Rhys and Raf became who they were and why they fell into their particular "likes". It also made more sense into how Cornell and Rhys fell into their kink. Rhys just wanted to make sure his best friend was taken care of, and Brendan was a natural for the job. Raf really needed a Daddy to take care of him and allow him to relax away from the struggles of the real world he was so ill equipped to succeed in. I liked both men and I did however enjoy hearing the whole backstory of Raf and Rhys. Nora Phoenix has an excellent writing style that tells a story that you want to go on and on.

Ahhhh this was so sweet and sexy and wonderful!
I'm so glad Raf and Brendan got a full story, I loved them in the first book of this series and I definitely wanted to know more about them.
Probably my favorite Daddy/ABDL kink story that I have read so far. I thought it was all handled so well, explained so well, and came off as very sweet and caring and then sometimes sexy and fun. I love how caring and thoughtful Brendan was as he got to know Raf, he was just a perfect Daddy for him.
Did notice a few typos and mistakes - think I saw a wrong name for Raf once, and some other little things, but that is obviously not detracting from my overall reading experience here.
Highly recommended for those interested in this specific kink but not sure where to start.

This ended up being way too sweet and sappy for my tastes but I can’t deny how well this author handled Raf’s ADHD and how it affected his everyday life. Unfortunately I switched off a bit and skimmed toward the end.

This is one of the better Daddy/boy books I've read. You can't not love Raf. And Brendan... he's perfect. He's so patient, so kind, and he loves his boy more than anything in the world.
Rhys and Cornell from Firm Hand are in it quite a bit. I really loved that because I loved, loved, LOVED Rhys. :)
This is a nice age play book for those who might be interested but don't know where to start. I do suggest you read Firm Hand first to get a feel for the characters and their backgrounds.

Nous retrouvons ici Raf et Brendan rencontres dans le tome précédent.
Autant vous prévenir tout de suite, avec cette série vous entrez dans une dimension bien différente des relations D/s que l’on peut rencontrer habituellement.
L’auteur nous présente une perversion qui est très peu abordée : celle du papa/ garçon.
Ici cette relation va même plus loin puisqu’il est question non pas d’un enfant mais d’un petit.
Je ne vous cacherai pas que cette dynamique n’est pas naturelle pour moi et qu’il m’a fallut un certain pour me replonger dans cette série et ce tome plus précisément.
Une fois mes aprioris mis au placard, je ne regrette absolument pas ma lecture.
L’auteur met ici l’accent sur bien autre chose que l’aspect purement sexuel d’une relation et c’est ce qui m’a convaincue.
Page après page, j’ai complètement occulté tout ce qui peut paraître « anormal » ou choquant pour me concentrer sur l’essentiel : l’amour que ces deux hommes partagent.
Il est beau, pur et sans concession.
L’abandon et la confiance dont preuve Raf est plus qu’émouvant.
Ma lecture terminée, j’ai été touchée par ce lien si unique qui unit Brendan et Raf.

j'ai bien aimé la relation de ces 2 là ! Raf est adorable et Brendan, d'une patience...le timing est entremélé avec le tome 1, puisque Raf est le meilleur ami de Rhys.
Mais, mais, MAIS...CARTON ROUGE à LA TRADUCTION !!!!!!
les "papa-père, garçon-fils" m'ont gâché la fluidité de la lecture. Daddy-boy étaient bien, pas obligé de tout traduire, de tout "fanciser" ! on n'est pas des Québécois, bordel !!!

J’ai vraiment apprécié ma lecture. La traduction est plutôt bonne (quelques phrases ou tournures mais c’est vraiment minime).
Quant à l’histoire, c’est une dynamique très originale, qui ne plaira pas à tout le monde, mais j’ai aimé. Parce que l’auteure explore vraiment la psychologie de ses persos, c’est bien joué.
Moins de vase clos, c’était agréable.

This was a sweet story. I felt so bad for Raf a few times. I just wanted to wrap him up and hold him. I was so glad he found his daddy. And I loved how excepting daddy’s family were. How the excepted the whole him.

Perfect. Just go read this. I wouldn’t say it shook my world but it was exactly what it purported to be and more—a lovely daddy/little boy romance.
Also I liked how, although they weren’t ashamed of who they were (and two consenting adults have nothing to be ashamed of) they were still respectful and mindful that it’s not for everyone. Even disregarding homophobes and kink-shamers, this isn’t an easy thing to stomach for the most open-minded of people and even people in the BDSM lifestyle. It was a little thing but I liked how they didn’t fight the world and just rolled with it.
