A dramatisation of David Stevenson's book "With Our Backs to the Wall: Victory and Defeat in 1918", the 6-episode series was meant to focus on the end of WW1, from March to Nov 2018. Action on both sides are covered but I found the dramatisation to be nothing more than a series of facts acted out, with little consideration of storytelling; even the narrator would typically give nothing more than the date and setting of the scene. The rest - you figure it out! Not having read the original book, it's hard to say whether the dramatisation merely didn't improve on the book or that it was an average audio dramatisation.

This mini series dramatise the chaotic year of 1918 and the surrender of Germany on 11th November and which led afterwards, on 1919, to sign the Treaty of Versailles and formally end the war. Well written and read

A short and interesting dramatisation of the conclusion of world war 2. Thought the relationships with Ludendorff and the Kaiser were very interesting. Would recommend.

Good sequel to countdown to war. Well written and good voice acting by all the narrators.
Some familiarity with the events of world war 1 is necessary.
