A 3.5 star book.
Admiration and respect for Vietnam’s founding father encapsulate what this book is all about. President Ho Chi Minh not only led his nation from ruthless and prolonged colonialism, but also brought unity and mutual understandings of freedom, prosperous vision Vietnamese could achieve by governing their own land.
The book more or less highlights his thoughts, struggles, and strategies for spreading the ideology he believed was best suited for his nation. I was expecting more on how he, his comrades, and the party combated the US during the Vietnam War. But that part is covered only briefly and without much detail.
On a lighter note, I bought “President Ho Chi Minh Biography and Career Second Edition” (ISBN: 978-604-57-8935-3) during my first visit to Hanoi when Vietnam commemorate its 80th Independence Day. It felt surreal to be there and joining the festivities.

I actually read the book with ISBN 978-604-57-8935-3.
Ho Chi Minh was a great man who gave his whole life to the Vietnamese people and the national and proletarian revolution of Vietnam. It is an honor to read about his life; every part of it is an inspiration and gives motivation to keep on learning and fighting for a better world.
