With a degree in accounting, I set out to conquer my quiet little corner of the world. My plan was to work for a major accounting firm and live a comfortable life. One never knows where fate will lead. I soon discovered I liked taking chances and started acquiring small parcels of land to resale. Within a year, I found myself immersed in the fun of land brokering. My native state, Texas, is a wide-open community of wonderful people and vast amounts of land. Opportunities in Texas are limitless. Texas and the fact that I am a workaholic were the perfect recipe for success. I have visited every state in the U.S. and lived in some, but Texas is always the one that calls me home. I thought I had the world by the tail; a nice little ranch that bordered a Texas lake, a horse and a few head of cattle. Life was good. Then I met a woman and life was no longer good, it was amazing. Now my life is an adventure of love and laughter. My partner encouraged me to begin writing. I published my first book in 2014 and have been successful in the Mystery/Suspense genre. Too Strong to Die is my first gay book. I am proud to say that after one week, on 2/1/2017, it is the #1 (Paid) Lesbian book on Amazon. Thank you so much for making it happen. Please let me hear from you. Should I continue writing for our community or stick with my Mystery/Suspense books?
Everything about this story is amazing. From the cover to the last punctuation mark. It is, like all her books, well written and very vividly. There is a lot of action, love and an unusual turn. The only problem is that the story is too short. So I really hope Erin Wade will write a full novel about Kaden, Ashley and Boss. I keep my fingers crossed!
I hope this is just the beginning of the story for Kaden and Ashley. They are a wonderful couple. I can see Erin doing great things with these two. For a short story it had a lot to it. It made me smile at the end.
I certainly was able to hear what the characters heard and feel what they felt. Although, a short story it was enough to evoke emotions. The author is known to do just that. Loved both of the main characters and their indecisive ways. The plot was complex enough for a short story and the resolution satisfying. Another great work.
Nothing is as it seems, keep looking for what is real.
I love this story. Kaden is one tough, brilliant and sexy cop. Ashley is the top notch principle with the world on her shoulders. A missing student puts them on a life altering path. The author tackles some tough issues in a gentle way. The attraction between the main characters is something beyond dreams. Them being together should not happen in the "normal" world. The upstanding citizens do mean and despicable things that everyone thinks money can cover up. I loved the sweet romance and growing up story that celebrates love and the truth always finds a way. I would love to read more of their story.
I loved the way the story and clues developed in this short mystery/romance by Erin Wade. I would love to read a full length novel starring Kaden, Ashley, and Boss. I love stories with lesbian cop or cops in them and with animals. Smart attractive women are always a turn-on, too.
A missing young girl and an abused principal and their not related to each other.
The police detective and her trusted K-9 helper seek the truth for the missing girl and the beautiful principal. Along the way the detective finds herself having a dilemma of love.Book two should be even more interesting. Enjoy!
I really enjoyed this book. I liked Lauren ,Ashley and hero dog Boss. Short story that covered a lot action, love, story, domestic abuse. Would love a full length book with these characters. Thanks
A delightful and comfort read during this global lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic. It is my first book from the author and the story was solid and good. Do you Hear what I Hear is a short novel that deals with tough issues like domestic abuse, pedophilia, and teen runaways in a non-graphic manner appealing to a vast readership. The main characters are an attractive and seasoned police detective named Kaden Snow and a school principal named Mrs. Ashley Benton, Oakmont’s prim and proper principal. Based on the character and job descriptions one can deduce that the author is familiar with that career field via close friends that provide technical advice, lots of research or perhaps relatives in that line of work. I found the ending to be quite satisfying and so sweet. Lastly, I agree that Kaden, Ashley and Boss have a great future together and a full novel would be a wonderful addition to her works.
Detective Kaden is called into the local high school to investigate the disappearance of a missing girl. The more time she spends with principal Ashley, the more infatuated she becomes, but Ashley has a secret of her own. The story was interesting and the characters compelling, but it was too short to give them any depth! I'd like to try a full length book from this author.
Detective Kaden Snow and her dog Boss are working a case of a missing teenager from the ninth grade. Principle Ashley Benton draws Kaden’s attention and their attraction is growing. A search for a happy ending for Christmas is on. Great story.
Well...not Christmas like at all. Not even smutty a little bit. Two closet lesbians who—decide to stay closeted, together after one of them is almost beat to death by her abusive husband...oh and abusive hubby is also a pedo, and—a lot happened for not even being 100 pgs, but also between our 2 mains, NOTHING happens. I’m confused and pissed. I thought this was going to be a Christmas suspenseful smut read. I can not believe I was so wrong.
