Lord of the Underworld
Hades messed up. It's his fault the Lady of the Underworld left...again. The guy just can't keep a good goddess down. But the Lord of the Dead can't mope about the Underworld while it tears apart. Breaches in the fabric of the afterlife have allowed souls to escape and return to their lives. I was quite happy with the first book in this series and although I usually keep a week between books from the same series or by the same author, I just couldn't hold of the curiosity any longer! I read extremely much last week anyway, so I wasn't really afraid I would end up in a reading slump. The last book ended with some sort of cliffhanger and really left me wanting for more and I had therefore high hopes of this book.
This book didn't disappoint at all! I had somehow expected the book to pick up right where we left the first one, but an entire year had passed and the first few chapters were literally so painful to read! Andra really managed to write down Hades' emotions, living in the Underworld without his Queen and the girl he longs for, and my heart was aching for him and with him. Luckily, it didn't take long before our two characters had to work together again.
Because that's for sure the fun part of these books. Hades and Autumn are very different people, with different personalities and different ways to handle people. Dead people, to be more exact. And watching them solving problems together and dealing with dead people who are not ready to be dead yet is therefore amusing, entertaining and most of all in a way also very telling. These people are amazing apart. But they are very clearly even more amazing together.
I was however quite glad that Andra really took her time to let the characters grow and develop. Both characters had quite some work to do before a relationship between them would really work out. And although this book is also a little about saving the Underworld, and the world, it's even more about their personal growth and development. Autumn has a long way to go before she can finally accept who, and what, she really is. And Hades is not ready yet to really open u. But, watching those characters learn and grow was truly my honor and pleasure!

The second book in the Operation Hades series and this one delves more into the backstory of Hades. I love the fact that we get to know more about him and his life prior to becoming Hades as we know him now.
Autumn is still struggling with coming to terms with their love and her new found goddess capabilities. There are times that she resists too much to the point of slight annoyance but it quickly resolves and moves on to the next hurdle.
The characters are great and they really grow as the series goes on. There are twists and turns at avery corner. I was hooked from page one and I will say that this book held me more enthralled than book 1. The world building is phenomenal, especially when we get the underworld described to us! I have really enjoyed this series and can not wait to read the next one!

This was a fantastic read that I could not put down until the last page was read. It moved along at a really great pace making for an enjoyable read. The characters are amazing and you cannot help but fall in love with them. The story will keep you turning pages until the end and then you want more. this is a must read that needs to be on your TBR list, no doubt about it.

Where can I start? While this installment was certainly more clear than Book 1, I still felt like I was racing to catch up to the plot at times. It's fast, and the action speeds around the characters as surely as it does the reader - but that appears to be part of the charm.
Hades, or his Avatar (I am not really sure how to define that?) is one hell of an appealing Main Male Character, oozing Alpha'ness while still be somewhat approachable... kinda? Honestly, he's broody as all get out and dark as his namesake implies. But when you understand a bit more about the relationship between him and Persephone, things become just a smidge clearer. Like I said, it's complicated.
Overall, I enjoyed this, along with the appearance of Locke (Eros) from the Operation Cupid saga. You don't HAVE to have read that to understand this, but it helps.

My god Autumn (FMC) and Hades are so cute (yes i said that about the Lord of the Underworld, lol) especially when the spend all their time dancing around each other and feelings. Hades is hard and unsure about everything. When he explains about himself to Autumn it all starts to make sense why he is the way he is. Sad and lonely. Autumn on the other hand is his complete opposite. Quirky, light and fun. She definitely knows how to pull him out of himself even after all that happened in book 1. I totally wanted these two characters to work out their differences and get together. Laughs come in the form of Locke (Cupid) and her crew - Mads (Hermes), Rane (Ares) and Bryon (Athena). Will they get their own book or books?? Id definitely read it if they do. Loved Autumn and Hades duet of books. A brilliant read

With a lot to make up for on Hades part, and a lot to think about and come to terms with on Autumns, this book is full of internal angst, drama, and edge of your seat adventure. With all hell breaking loose, both figuratively and literally, they both have a lot of work ahead of them. And somehow they have to find time to figure out their relationship as well. Persephone is waking, and Autumn isn’t sure she can handle it, much less wants to. Especially once she learns what her powers have done, and can do. But with how she feels about Hades, she can’t bring herself to let him get hurt. Even if it means getting hurt herself, in the process. This book was an excellent addition to the series and I look forward to reading the next one.

So this second book carries on about 6 months from where book 1 left off and you have two people who love each other but are apart cause of misunderstandings, secrets and lies but need to work together to fix the underworld! I read this in under two hours, totally captivated by Autumns and Hades story, I wanted, no needed to see if they could work out their differences to get their hea! More action, more twists and turns, more souls escaping, more mythology, more tears, more hot hot hot and steamy scenes and more back story from Hades! You also get introduced to some more great characters and I just love Cerberus!

We catch back up with Autumn and Hades about six months after the end of the first book. These two really have a lot to work out between them if they ever hope to be together. Thanks to the help of Locke Hades begins to open up as they work together to fix all of the rifts in the Underworld. Gives us lots of back history which was quite helpful I must say. Full of supernatural charm as the story progresses at a fast pace. Just a fun as book one. I really liked it so I give it 4/5 stars.

Hades is desperate to have Autumn back by his side so he goes to seek advice and help. I thought that was quite cute really, a big bad god of the underworld asking for love advice off cupid. But there starts the 2nd thrilling installment of this series. I really did like the whole concept of this story and it kept me enthralled to the end. The way it ended it could have been left there but I suppose it was a happy for now rather than a HEA and I am really looking forward to what the next book brings

Better and better
The tale of Hades and Autumn just keeps improving. They gave a long hard road to travel full of woes and hardships but the hope is they finally end up happy. The saying is absence makes the heart grow fonder I’m not sure that’s necessarily true with these two. However time, talk and healing can make a difference will it be enough.
I’m hoping the next instalment gives me the answers I’m hoping for with this pair.

Wow! Lord of the Underworld completely sucked me in just as much as book 1. Autumn and Hades are continuing to grow. Autumn is starting to understand more about herself and her abilities while Hades is becoming a little less broody. Autumn helps with that too. But there is still a lot for them to work through and there is still a lot of unknowns. I am so excited to continue this romance in book 3!

Didn’t love it as much as the first one. Autumn got in my nerves and her going back and forth about Hades and all that was annoying. I understand why though, just didn’t really love that it was the whole book.

Another Amazing book to the Hades and Persephone retelling!!!
To be perfectly honest Hades has always been my favorite of the ancient gods. And any story about him I love reading!! But this one is on another level!! It is insanely good!!

Full of angst, self-doubt, and eventual acceptance
Autumn, a florists assistant, now knows she is the avatar for Persephone and is running from the avatar of Hades, Greek Lord of the Underworld, after she found out some of the things he kept from her. As the story progresses a favor is asked, sharing the past is recommended to forgive, and only by accepting the bad with the good could the world be saved. Skylar Andra’s Lord of the Underworld is full of angst, self-doubt, and eventual acceptance. I look forward to seeing the conclusion of the series and am going to hop over and read the Operation Cupid series to get my fix until then.

Absolutely loved both these books
A wonderful second book for Autumn and Hades with plenty on heat plus a really good storey line. Loved to see Locke and her men popping in with cameo roles. Definitely a very enjoyable read.

I love being able to read about Persephone and Hades and stuff like that anything that has to do with Greek, Norse or any kind of mythology. It's very intriguing to me.

Lord of the Underworld continues Skyler Andra's Operation Hades series. This book gives us more of Hades and Autumn (Persephone's avatar) and their struggles to restore the Underworld and deal with their own personal issues. This book is yet another mixed bag for me, but I like that there are some improvements in the overall storyline at least and that it's not as slow as the first book.
I appreciate that this storyline is more engaging. It seems that the author has really found their stride with this book and now things are moving more smoothly and I'm able to become engaged in the story and the characters. I like that we are introduced to some more of the other avatars as well. I like Locke and I wouldn't mind reading more of her in the future. There are some interesting situations that the characters find themselves in in dealing with the various spirits/ghosts that have either not found their way to the Underworld or who have escaped through rifts from Persephone's powers not being a part of the mix to keep things in balance.
My issues with this book are really Autumn. I'm sorry, but she acts like a brat. She blames Hades for breaking her heart, when he did no such thing. She chose to walk away from him because he didn't do what she wanted AND out of fear behind her own powers that she doesn't like. I got so annoyed with her when she keeps turning her back on the darker side simply because she doesn't like it. It paints her as juvenile. As a gardener/florist she should know good and well that there MUST be balance and that there can be no life without death otherwise things would always get choked off. I kept waiting on her to shoulder her own blame in things, but it seems that Hades is intended to be the scapegoat so that she can feel better about herself.

He tries to tell her about Persephone and she shuts it down and stomps on it. She knows that this is part of who she is and she needs to grow up and embrace it...all of it. I'm hopeful that Autumn grows more with the next book because she really needs to and to accept the truth.

Upon finishing book 1 in this series, while it didn’t leave me hanging at all, continuing deeper into the series was NOT optional. I just needed more of this brilliantly built world, Hades, and everything else to do with this book.
It packs many tropes and fun elements and I’m sure I won’t even manage to list half of them, but to name a few, we have:

🔱 ‘Workplace’ romance (IYKYN)
🥀 Second-chance romance.
🔱 Delicious ‘Underworld’ setting.
🥀 Demons and other ‘H3ll’ creatures.
🔱 Royalty.
🥀 Rags-to-riches heroine.
🔱 So much adventure.
🥀 Lots of fun/hilarious pop-culture references.
🔱 Incredible world-building.
🥀 Very innocent (V!rg!n in book 1) heroine.
🔱 Grumpy / Sunshine.
🥀 Dead people / afterlife, etc.
It can be thought-provoking at times.
Despite having some seemingly dark themes, it does ultimately manage to be very sweet and there were even laugh-out-loud moments. Both leads are very strong characters which actively grow with their world / as they explore their relationship and deal with what their world throws at them. Very well designed, and this demonstrates some very skilled writing.
This is a fun, steamy, fantasy read, and I will 100% be reading more into this series and anything else this author writes. Wholeheartedly recommend.

If you're a big fan of mythology, which I do enjoy but do not know alot about, then this series is for you. Of course this centers around Hades and our female lead Autumn.
If you have read book one Lady of the Underworld you know that Autumn has been with Hades. Also you know that Hades is not all together sane, in my opinion, or it could be he just has a lot of issues to work through. Autumn is a character upon her self. She is quirky, witty and funny. Together they want the same things, they just do not know how to communicate very well yet. Who does not want to save the underworld, right? But can they get along long enough to actually do it?
I really enjoyed book two very much. Autumn and Hades, it was fun to watch them banter back and forth. To see them interacting, just held me captive with what will they do or say next. If you really enjoy mythology, I highly recommend this series.

This second instalment was even better than the first. It started where book one left, where we had hades and autumn separated. But fate will always bring them back together. And boy was it full of angst and adventure. I loved how autumn was able to get hades to express his human past and how they built the relationship up on trust and openness rather than just the physical. The avatars make the characters so much more and I loved the fight autumn had in persphone showing her the full potential of her powers. And to see Locke and the gang again, it was prefect. I can't wait for book 3 and to see where hades and autumn go from here. A beautiful take on the Greek gods and it'll make you wish to visit the underworld just as skyler describes. Beautifully written folk retelling of Greek gods and the world of powerful people. Loved it!

After her breakup with Hades, Autumn fled to Fiji, living quietly away from people. Yet her fate cannot be escaped, and she has to join Hades again, if they want to stop the threat spreading around. The veil between the world of the living and the dead is thinning, and the rifts start to be overwhelming. Autumn has to reconsider Persephone's recommendations now..
The second book was better than the first one, even though I still found some weaker spots when my focus started to wane. Nevertheless the turbulent romance and intense climax fight brought the action and drama into the story, making it captivating at times and slowly encouraging the reader to crave background info and Alek's backstory. The characters developed into an interesting couple, and I liked their interactions much more than in the previous book.

be still my heart 🖤 💀 Hades is everything
I cannot emphasizes how much i love Hades. He really is beautiful inside and out. He is the reason i push tru this book. For some odd reason Autumn stubbornness towards Hades was getting to me. Also her constant resistance towards allowing her powers to surface or becoming who she needs to be was saddening. I look forward for the next book. Hades has some unfinished business with his past and i hope we can dive into that in the future books! Also, Autumn needs seriously bring her A game back on! I read this with my kindle unlimited.
