I liked this book, it was diferent than what I'm used to. Brogan was so lonely, that poor man, he deserved love in his life. Ciara had a lot on her shoulders and things weren't easy but she did the best she could. I just wished they communicated better, some hurts could have been avoided if they talked. It all happened a little fast but I don't mind it. It was good and I can't wait to read about the rest of the brothers

The strength and the determination of those who settled our country out west comes through in this wonderful story of loss and finding the strength to build trust and companionship.
Ciara and her sister Orla ended up on Brogan's ranch when they got lost trying to make their way back to St Louis. After losing their parents on the wagon train they only had each other.
Brogan was a bitter man, lacking trust due to his family's betrayals and was building his ranch and raising horses to earn his living.
Reluctantly he takes the two in so they can earn their keep in supplies to continue their journey. But fate steps in and they find much more than ever expected as they heal their wounded spirits and learn to trust. An amazing story that I could not stop once I turned the first page!!

I have so enjoyed this series of the Kavanagh brothers of Texas. In this story, Brogan who had retreated to the Maguire Ranch after discovering that he is only a half brother to the other boys and his half sister, Gemma Maguire married his eldest brother. Brogan is like a horse whisperer. As he goes to check on his herd, he comes across a broken fence, missing horses and a wagon sitting on his property. Two woman have been "squatting" on his property for a few days. Ciara and Orla Doyle are sisters who just recently lost their parents while on a wagon trail going west. In the process of burying their parents, they became separated from the rest of the party. Poor Ciara, has no sense of direction and she hopelessly gets lost. Ciara is also a guardian for Orla. Years early, Orla fell from a horse and only has the mental capacity of a fourteen year old. Brogan is a loner but he takes the two women in as their situation is dire.

The road to Brogan and Ciara's HEA is one that is wonderful to read. This book, like the rest of the series, is written in a dual POV format. That really helps me to relate to the characters so much better. This book was just a little different from the rest. I just felt that something was missing from this one that wasn't in the others. Also the ending here was just a little more rushed.

This is a sweet, clean Christian-faith romance. There was nothing in this book that would offend anyone.

Brogan Kavanagh is a man struggling with his recently revealed past. Reeling from his brother inheriting the entire
ranch and the news of his birth, he leaves the family behind and develops his own niche as a horse breeder.
Ciara Doyle and her sister Orla are traveling by themselves. They suffered the loss of their parents on the Wagon Train they were traveling with. Left behind to bury their parents, by the wagon master due to the late start the train had gotten them in quite a pickle. Lost, alone and trying to find their way landed them on Brogans ranch.
Orla, Ciara's sister was injured years back and has matured, but has the mind of a 14 year old. She is very good with the horses and enjoys them.
Once discovered, What will Brogan do? He has questions in his mind to answer, a ranch to run and horses to find.
Meanwhile, Ciara is worming her way into his heart and warming it. She is a stubborn one and won't take charity.
They must come to some agreements, and just maybe they can help each other find a purpose in their lives again.
This book and series have been truly wonderful reads. I have enjoyed them immensely. I love how the Author Gives her characters real life situations and problems to live and grow with.
I received an ARC of this book and am choosing to leave an honest review.

Brogan: Cowboy Pride
The Kavanagh Brothers, Book 3
By: Kathleen Ball
Narrated by: Sarah Kisko

This is my first book of this series, and it is a joy to listen to. Easy on the ears and all around heart warming story, I was caught up in Brogan's book. Brogan has a chip on his shoulder. The result of an affair, he has always felt left out of the family. Determined to prove his worth on his own, he has his own ranch and lives a lonely life. That is until he finds Ciara and Orla. These two women are lost to say the least, and he takes them in. But will they stay? Does he want them to stay? Can Ciara help mend the family? There is so much to love about this book. Orla the horse whisperer is a hoot! She has no filter, says what she feels and is just a breath of fresh air. Ciara is overprotective, but understandably so, and Brogan is incredibly guarded. I love how these three fall together, meeting the rest of the Kavanaughs and the danger the west can bring. It's a little suspense, a little love and a whole lot of goodness.

Sarah Kisko brings this gem to life and it's such a good listen. Kisko has a great array of voices, able to go from male to female with ease. She gives us the gruff outlaw too and makes it all feel real. This is a fabulous listen and great for a weekend walk!

Brogan is the second book by Kathleen Ball that I have read, and I enjoyed it more than the first one, mostly because some of the supporting characters are in both books so it was like visiting old friends. I liked the main characters in this book - it was difficult to understand why Brogan was such a difficult man and I was pleased to see him make significant changes as the story continued. Ciara had my sympathies from the beginning - she was communicated their situation to Brogan, took responsibility for the mistakes she has made and would only take help of she earned it. Ciara had enough spunk to not take any guff from Brogan and did what she needed to do to keep her sister safe. Orla is a delight. Yes, she has a mental impairment, but she is also wiser than Ciara at times because she sees situations as they are. Brogan and Ciara get their happy ending, but only after a close brush with disaster. I am looking forward to the next Kathleen Ball book.

"Several" wrong turns takes Ciara Doyle and her sister Orla from the Oregon Trail to the Texas Hill Country while trying to return to St. Louis? Really? Talk about not having a sense of direction. Somebody should have taught that girl that the sun comes up in the east and sets in the west because she is obviously clueless.

Brogan is nursing perceived injustices from his brothers, distrusts everyone, and generally has a huge chip on his shoulders. Ciara is overly suspicious of all men and over-protective of her sister Orla. The two learn to open their hearts and minds to the goodness around them. Fences, both literal and figurative, are mended and all is well in the world. Personally, Orla was the star of the story.

On many levels, Brogan is a sympathetic character. Mrs. Kavanagh, mother to the brood, openly shunned Brogan for something that was not of his doing. Children being punished for the sins of adults is wrong but happens all too often. It's no wonder why Brogan is a walking, festering wound.

Wonderful book about a family that held secrets and when those secrets are found out they can effect a person in a way that cripples them. Brogan finds out he is not a full blood brother to his siblings and feels less than so he leaves their ranch and strikes out on his own but when two young women find their way onto his land he wants to help them. Ciara and her younger sister Orla have lost their parents on their way west and get lost and end up on Brogans land and even when he does not want them there he will not turn them away but Ciara has already fallen for the handsome Brogan. When there is talk in town about the two women staying with him they decide to leave but Brogan knows he has fallen in love with Ciara and goes after them. Can he get catch up with them and convince them to come back with him?

An emotional romance with a bit of healing thrown in. 💞❤️🤠💞

Brogan has walked away from his family for some pretty strong reasons when he stumbles upon another small family trespassing on his land. But Ciara didn't realize she was trespassing when she and her sister, Orla, camped for the night in their covered wagon. Once he realizes that it's been a misunderstanding, he invites them to stay on his ranch if Ciara will work for his so they can save up enough money to head back to St. Louis. But the longer they stay and get to know Brogan, the more he thinks he wouldn't mind if they stayed. 💗💕

This is the third book in The Kavanagh Brothers series and really needs to be read in the order it is written as it's about a close-knit family. 😉🥰

This is Book #3 in the Kavanagh Brothers Series and is Brogan and Clara's story. Clara and her sister Orla are attempting to return to St. Louis after their parents died along the Oregon Trail. Clara has all the responsibility of the trip as her sister had been damaged in an earlier accident and imagines herself as being 14. The pair takes a wrong turn and end up in Texas and on Brogan's land. Then the sparks fly. Brogan attempts to help them but Clara stubbornly insists things be done "her" way. The pair have a long way to go and lots to work through if there is to ever be a HEA. I really enjoyed this story and highly recommend it. It is a real page turner and I know you will enjoy it.

This is such a sweet romance. Brogan and Ciara are determined to keep at arm's length, but that becomes very difficult. Orla, Ciara's younger sister, is 18 but an accident has left her brain stuck at 14. She brings a lot of wisdom and humor to the story despite her disability. The story is wonderful, the characters are each loveable in their own way, and the story of God's way of bringing about His plans for good are encouraging and inspirational. I truly enjoyed listening this book!

Sarah Kisko always brings a delightful performance and this was no exception. She is so talented at creating voices that bring to life the characters. I love listening to her and am never disappointed.

I listened to the audiobook of this book. It was a pleasure to listen to Sarah Kisko narrate the story. She brought the characters to life. Brogan Kavanagh just wants to be left alone, but when he finds two women on his property, he has no choice but to help them. Ciara is the older sister and Orla has a way with horses. Ciara is just trying to keep Orla safe, since her accident at fourteen and the recent death of their parents. Both Brogan and Ciara have a lot on their shoulders, but can they both help each other in the end. Free their minds and hearts, of the heavy burden they are carrying.
I was given a copy of this book by the narrator for a honest review.

Brogan feels alone and betrayed by his family. He is living in his sisters house and not talking or trusting anyone. He spends his days with his horses.
Ciara and her sister Orla park in his pasture and set up camp when they become lost. Brogan finds them and takes them in. They don't trust each other but work together to get the girls on their way.
Join Brogan as he learns to trust and forgive.
Great characters and strong family ties.

Ciara was impulsive and quick to take offense. She kept wanting to take off with her sister every time Brogan offended her, which he did often by laughing at her. She admitted she had no sense of direction but still wanted to leave without considering any other options. Brogan was the unwanted bastard and so he has trouble letting people in and accepting love. I loved Ciara’s sister Orla, who even though she spoke with no filter and had trouble understanding had an amazing way with animals. This was a clean historical western romance.

This is book three of The Kavanagh Brothers series and although it's my first book in this series I wasn't lost. But, I will be checking out the first two books very soon. I loved the sweet connection between the sisters Ciara and Orla. Brogan and Ciara have been through a lot in their lives and don't let people in but there's something happening between them and there is a spark. This is a sweet romance and I look forward to reading more books by this author. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

Brogan Kavanagh is a loner because of the relationships within his family. All he wants is to run his ranch and be happy on the land he lives. When he finds some of his horses not where they should be it leads him to finding a hole in his fence and a couple of women in a covered wagon on his property. Ciara and Orla Doyle were on their way west when they got turned around after the loss of their parents. Ciara is left caring for Orla and is just trying to care for her. This is such a sweet stranger to love romance you won't want to put down.

Can one event bring a family back together?
Ms. Ball has written a lovely western with good characters. It is not often where you have characters that have disabilities incorporated into a piece but Ms. Ball did a wonderful job with this book. Left on their own Orla and Ciara have a beautiful bond and Brogan had such a deep and strong inner core. This is a book I would gladly let my granddaughter read. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.

Book three of The Kavanagh Brothers series a well written story with a great storyline. I can relate to Ciara as I have no sense of direction, the connection between sisters Ciara and Orla was a joy to see. Brogan had been hurt so much in his live that he had a hard time trusting. I also like the connection between Orla and the horses. I want to read the next book. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Oh, I loved this story! Fell in love with all the characters. Love the Kavanagh family. So much responsibility fell on Ciara's shoulders. Brogan went through so much and I love how he survived. Thank you Kathleen Ball for a wonderful series. Love every one of the books and am looking forward to reading the stories of the other brothers.

A little Short

I love historical romances, this was very good but it stopped at 75%. The author then gave previews of three or four other books in the series. Felt a little cheated. Happy that Brogan got his HEA, after his feelings of abandonment. Loved the two sisters that Brogan rescued.

Cowboy Brogan Kavanagh helps two women travelers, even though he wants to be alone. Ciara Doyle doesn’t trust him. She is trying to get her and her sister Orla back to St. Louis after her parents died along the Oregon Trail. (Lost in more than one way.)

Transported back into the Old West. I loved this Christian historical romance. The characters were interesting, the plot exciting.

Brogan: Cowboy Pride

Another great story about the Kavanagh brothers, Brogan. He’s only a half brother but he always knew that by the treatment of his mother and father. Gemma his half sister figured it out and her mother told her at her death. Brogan found two ladies and a wagon camped on his property and his fence down. Just the beginning of Brogan’s story, you will enjoy.

Kavanagh Bros III

These brothers have a talent for collecting strays. Seems Brogan is not truly a Kavanagh. He finds sisters living in a caravan on his spread and takes them in so to speak. When he discovers three boys are his horse thieves he gains an instant family, now all he needs is a surrogate mother for them.

I really enjoyed listening to this book. The Kavanagh Brothers is a great series. This book in particular has great characters and is well written. I love how in-depth this writer developed Orla. My only issue was the way the narrator said "sorry". It drove me crazy, however, it's easily overlooked when a book is this good.

I’m reading all 3 books. They are exactly what a love in a frontier Western. So many brothers and it begins with them being single. One story at a time about the real story of that brother. Until they meet their future mate, life is boring and dull. The have to accept themselves as they are, then do some changing for live to sweep them up. These stories are so good
