After her husband was murdered, Adelle Turgenev knew she was in danger. So she fled her home in Russia, weeks before her daughter was due to be born. I’ve been waiting almost 2 years to find out more about Adelle’s story after reading Protect My Heart. And while I would love to have a longer story, this was a fun little treat and left me feeling satisfied. I hope the author will write another bodyguard romance sometime in the future because hers are my favorite!
I was so excited when I saw that Corry wrote his because I just finished “Protect My Heart” and was a little disappointed at the end that it just ended with Adelle showing up and not telling us more. So when I saw this I went right to it to read. A fun short story but I would have loved it even more if it would’ve told us a couple of cute love stories about Adelle and Maksim while in the run.
Adelle's mini story contained just the right amount of interaction with Emma and Arie, answers to all those questions I had after finishing 'Protect my Heart', and contained its own HEA for a woman so deserving of happiness. So sweet!
A nice little story. However, a bit confusing as to who the characters are, especially if you don't recall them from the other book. Would be helpful to have a brief explanation of relationships.
