An excellent account of the various "Indian campaigns" that happened during the Civil War. I had had no idea Civil War "skirmishes" happened so far out west. It's interesting how these Indian problems connected with the Civil War. This book was good in the accounting in not glossing over the atrocities committed by both sides, but simply telling what happened.

This is a good history of the Indian wars in the U.S. Atrocities were committed on both sides; so sad.
