They thought they were finally safe. They were wrong.
Locked away inside Cheyenne Mountain, Blake and the other survivors hope it might be possible to return to the world before the rise of the dead.
But the outside world is a cruel place now. Supplies are scarce. The threats are increasingly dangerous.
Haunted by nightmares of the past, Blake struggles to reclaim the shreds of his life that still remain. What comes next might just be more than he can handle.
This pivotal installment in the ROTD series marks the end of the world as we know it and a whole new beginning. Welcome to the post-apocalypse!
Jeremy Dyson lives for one reason; to kill zombies. Until he gets that chance, he occupies his time drinking beer, writing stories, and teaching his children not to go to the bathroom on the floor. So far he has only succeeded in two of those endeavors.
After studying at the University of Iowa, Jeremy moved back home to Illinois, worked on a farm, built websites, made lattes, wrote how-to articles, and took dogs for walks before deciding he should probably do something different. About a year later, his debut novel, Rise of the Dead, was released. The rest is history.
He currently resides in the cozy town of Crystal Lake, Illinois with his wife, two daughters, a pair of scruffy, stinky dogs, and his best friend, Jason Voorhees.
Jeremy did it once again! Such phenomenal story telling and he pulls things together in such a way that I’ve never seen before and it always makes for the best plot twists. Please put the next one out ASAP, I need it to pass time during social distancing.
I made it through the series. Good thing I'm not a character or I'd be dead. Most of the main characters didn't make it. It was messed up for them to get so far for nothing. This part was busy. There was lots of drama and action. I'm feeling like Amanda is a waste and we could've kept Danielle. She had a purpose while Amanda needs protecting. Plus, I liked her with Blake. My suspensions are confirmed when Fletcher shows up. I knew he was a survivor. I was thinking that the story would end but seems like there will be more to come with the chance of Stevie being alive. I think I'm gonna like Tim but I'm not too sure about these other new characters. Then we'll probably meets up with Chase and that other girl whose name I forget. Overall, I enjoyed this story.
As a dad still plays this world and the living tried to survive even more people are killed by other people instead of zombies, why can’t we just find a book were a change in humanities thoughts as to helping everybody survive instead of killing everybody? I am looking forward to the next book hopefully will come out soon I know that these books are a great series so far and look forward to the next one they are page turning, thrilling and exciting well in depth characters and hope
This series has it all, engaging plot twists, feisty characters as well as the antagonists that you want to crawl into the print to kill them yourself. I really enjoyed the style with how Jeremy Dyson writes. He doesn't immerse you into the filth or vileness of evilness, to the point where you feel contaminated, instead,he walks the fine line where you understand why you must sink to a level you would never imagined possible, but also keep a level of humanity. I love this series!
A great story. I didn't like the ending because to me it didn't end. I hope the author decides to write more books with the characters that were still alive at the end of this book. I feel there is still a lot of story to be told. But that may be because I became so involved with the characters. It was a great book and a great series! I want more!
The thing that keeps me going in this book series after all the heartbreak is the scruffy little hero, Stitch the dog. I swear if something happens to him I'm going to lose it. Another great book with the harsh realities of the zombie apocalypse. A couple errors with the wrong words being used but overall a great read.
These are some tough and brave people. They are so tired, but they know if it was them that was captured, their friends would come back for them. They know that they could not love with themselves if, they didn't do everything possible to help each other.
I have really enjoyed this series so far. The characters are interesting but don't get to attached to them as the author is ruthless . Lots of action . Really good read
All I want to know is where is the next book?! What I like about this series is that no one is safe. But it doesn’t feel rushed to prove a plot point. Please let the there be a revenge on the reapers book with Andrews death being slow one bite at a time.
Scout,Blake and some of the others have made it to safety. But will it stay that way. Surprises , traitors and murderous gangs now range the land not to mention the zombies. Read how they face trials
Excellent read action continuously happening with plenty of normal people involved in the action not all superheroes only people who have no choice but to try to survive
