Sleigh deserved to have this happiness in her life. She took the next step. Harlem was the right amount of hood, and the extra side of sweetness she needed to flourish. It was also dope to see Syx, Syvn, Trough, Ace and the rest of the gang.
From the very first page, Sleigh had me in it. We meet Sleigh Wellington—grieving, anxious, and locked inside her own world after a tragic loss. My girl is just trying to survive day to day, trapped in a loop of work, home, repeat. No friends, no car, no life beyond the bubble of her trauma. Her PTSD is so heavy you can feel it through the pages. But the beauty in this story is watching her want to heal even though she doesn’t know how.
Then walks in Harlem Knight.
Babyyyyy this man… whew. Harlem is THAT man. A real one. He’s been watching Sleigh from afar for three years, giving her space to grieve but also letting it be known: the minute she’s ready, he’s stepping. And when he does? He steps all the way behind her. This wasn’t just a man who talked a good game—Harlem backed it up. Every action, every word, every touch was filled with care and patience. He saw her fully. Flaws, fears, fragility and all—and still wanted every part of her. 🥹
Grey really showed out with Harlem’s character. One thing about her, she’s gonna write a man who shows up and shows out. I ate it up.
The chemistry was sweet and sensual, the healing was emotional, and that ending?! Had my heart in my throat, but thank God it wasn’t what it seemed like. Grey, you are diabolical for that scene. 😂
If you’re a fan of: • ❄️ Holiday novellas • 🧠 Mental health & healing arcs • 🩰 FMCs with creative passions (Sleigh is a ballerina!) • 🎶 MMCs in the music industry • 💪 A man who shows up and fights for love • 🥹 Second chances after grief • 💞 Cozy, spicy romance that tugs your heart
Then do yourself a favor and pick this one up. Sleigh and Harlem will stay with me for a long time. This book gave everything it needed to give and more.
After I read part 1 I wanted more and Yes hunny I was delivered an healthy dose of excellence. Harlem and Sleigh was just the perfect match made in heaven and after all that Sleigh have been through I’m glad that all her hard work paid off and she went to claim her man. I see nothing but good thing in the future for this couple and you know I love me a perfect happy ending. Definitely can’t wait for what’s next
Sleigh, a woman stricken by grief after the loss of her boyfriend, is a talented ballerina who is highly sought after by more than just fans. Harlem is a talented singer who's kept his eyes on one woman for three years. After patiently waiting, he finally decides to make his move. After spending an incredible night together, they have to part ways with the hopes of one day being reunited.
Sleigh is another immaculate book written by Grey. She penned a story of grief, hope, love, and healing. Grey does a wonderful job of telling this story. She is intentional and precise with every word she uses. The character comes alive. Although this book is short, Grey doesn't come up short on the details or the plot of this book. I enjoyed this book from the beginning to the end.
Sleigh, a ballerina suffering from PTSD from a tragic accident in her past has shut herself off from the world. Harlem knight, a musician who’s has his eye on Sleigh for years decided enough time has passed and he’s ready to shoot his shot. Sleigh is pushing back at all his advances until he tells her “Let’s Go”… My girl was no more good…. This was a quick read but worth every second. I love a man who refuses to let you shrink yourself out of fear. A man who is kind, nurturing, patient, will give you space when needed and still love you properly in the end. This was another of Grey Huffington perfections. This woman just doesn’t miss!!

Sleigh was in a fatal accident, which left her with crippling phobias that impact her ability to live normally. she is a ballerina but lives a lonely existence. Harlem is a celebrity artist that is smitten with Sleigh. he decides to pursue her but Sleigh puts up heavy resistance. they enjoy magical times together then break apart for Sleigh to work on herself. I loved how patient Harlem was with Sleigh. I believed in their love. happy they got their HEA.
Simply put I’m a fan of all things Grey! I read the original release of this book and always hoped we’d get an update and here we have it. I felt like a proud mom at Sleigh’s growth in a year but Harlems love, patience, and devotion for her has no words fit to describe. Well written status update
I'm glad I read the squared version because those extra chapters are a necessity. I enjoyed both Sleigh and Harlem.... Harlem, Harlem, Harlem.... patience is a virtue for a reason and I'm satisfied with outcome. P.s the cameo with the other book characters was a nice touch.
Oooo that trauma she experienced was heavy geez the first two pages was an emotional roller coaster. I felt empathy for her not being ready to face it and for the grief, fear and all the emotions that came up. I was glad that she was protecting herself from hurt but also was hopeful she work through it. Harlem applied the pressure and never let up.
Reading the prologue, I was feeling anger. However, once the story began (Chapter 1), my feeling of anger becameme void. Grey wrote about Sleigh, THE BLACK Ballerina, in a manner that had me guessing. Feelings of being damaged while being pursued plays tricks on you because what could you possibly deserve?
Loved this ending and how you brought everyone back together to meet Seligman they all loved her. They became her best friends when she didn't have any but her mom. Harlem was the best thing that happened to her. Great story as always
Yasssssssssss Harlem and Sleigh ended exactly how they were suppose to and now I'm a very happy camper. It's crazy it took her a whole year to get back to Harlem but glad she did, now they're blessed with they're own bundle of joy. Great ending
Thank you Grey! I missed these two especially Harlem yes I would love one of him. I'm glad you decided to extend their story and I can't wait for what you have for us next.
I really love your books. Harlem waited three years for Sleigh. She suffered from the loss of her boyfriend. I am glad Harlem was able to get Sleigh to give him a chance. Very good book.
I’m so glad to get more of a glimpse of Harlem and Sleigh! This was the ending I needed. Thank you for extending it. Awesome read! Even better than my first time reading their story.
I couldn't put it down. It was refreshing to be able to read/feel Harlem's love for Sleigh and all her flaws!! They stumbled but he never gave up on them. I loooved this!!!
Thank you for writing this story when you left me hanging I was like what the freak. But I love this story and it is the way a man should love a woman. On a scale of 1 to 10 Harlem gers 100 for his love for Sleigh.
I enjoyed reading this book so much! I couldn't put my kindle down! I enjoyed the storyline and the chemistry between Sleigh and Harlem! Such a fantastic and outstanding book!
Loved the ending but couldn't really call this a book 2 just an extended version of book one like the first part of the title mentioned. Now we can use a book 2 to see where this leads to for their future.
I am a huge fan of Grey’s pen. I started with her most recent books and working my way backwards! I loved Sleighs and Harlems story. She really put in the work and he kept applying pressure! This is a must read!!
This extension was wonderful. When I read it the first time I was so disappointed they left each other But this was AMAZING. GREY HUFFINGTON NEVER DISAPPOINTS
