Blake Latour Minotaur shifter recognizes his landlady Sophia as his mate. Enforcer and Minotaur shifter Blake Latour realized there was something off about the man at the counter as soon as he entered the store. As he is trying to talk to the person from the flat his landlady Sophia come s home and comes up to try and sort it out. Sophia lives in the apartment opposite Blake and he knows she is his mate but blake finds it hard to talk to anyone.

Blake worked with the cops and, after dealing with an incident involving two addicts robbing a store clerk, he is currently suspended for excessive force. Since he has the time now, he wants to win over the woman he believes is his mate, Sophia. His protective and aggressive nature as a minotaur shifter is causing issues at work and in dealing in general with people. He rented the apartment near hers, and now his goal is to win her heart since his chances of a mate are limited. Can he build a relationship with her? Will her brother, Winston, mess up his chances? Can he find his HEA as his interactions with her mellows him more and more?
This was a cute story as the reader watches Blake’s sincere but bumbling efforts to woo his mate. The characters were well-portrayed. The author did a good job on giving the reader very good descriptions of not only the characters but the environment, all of which made things a bit more realistic. Grab your copy and enjoy this unusual shifter’s story.
3 1/2*This is a cute story about a minotaur who is violent which is normal for minotaurs, has trouble at work because he is so aggressive, and has no idea of social expectations. He has absolutely no social skills which is shown when he confronts his neighbor about noise. He demands and when asked refuses to ask nicely because as he states the neighbor was in the wrong. On the other hand he knows his landlady is his mate. He has practically stalked her for a year, which is kind of normal for shifters. During that time he is trying to learn what he needs to do to win her. She can't decide whether she wants him or not because he's a jerk to other people but after living near him for more than six months he starts talking to her trying to act like she would want. It's cute as he transforms into a nicer person and becomes more social as everyone has been trying to teach him.

This was a well written story by Erin St. Charles, which had two good and likable lead characters. The romance between the hero and heroine (Sophia and Blake) built slowly into a lifetime love. Blake was a gruff and unsure Minotaur who moved in the apartment next door to his future human mate Sophia. Sophia's brother Winston was a jerk and a tad bit overprotective, which caused issue between him and Blake. He doesn't want Blake around his sister and when he gets involved in some shady things, Blake will have to decide to help his life's mate which could threaten his job. Will he help her or decide she and her brother are not worth the trouble, get The Minotaur Next Door and read it to find out. This is the fifth book in the Shifter Enforcers series but it can be read as a standalone. I would highly recommend this series along with other books by Erin St. Charles.

A very cute story which was my first by this author. I found the story was well written, the romance between Blake and Sophia built gradually into love and the plot of Blake a gruff and unsure minotaur who moved in the apartment next door to his future mate, Sophia and Sophia a human who is supervising her younger brother Winston, a minotaur, while he is going threw college a entertaining story to read and review. Sofia's brother does not like Blake around his sister and he gets involved in some shady business which Blake has to decide to help his mate and if he does it can threaten his job, will he help her? This is the fifth book in the series but it is a stand alone. I volunteer to read and review this ARC via Booksprout.
Blake got in suspended from the shifter division that works with the police department. There was a problem with how he treated a human and two addicts. Sophie owns and runs a coffee shop. Blake being a minotaur is sorta violent but that's normal. Poor Blake knows that Sophie is his mate but as he as not social skills doesn't know how to be around her. Sophie finally decides he not really a jerk but it takes her 6 months. Such a fun story. This was a treat. First minotaur story I've ever read. Letting your imagination run wild. Will Sophie finally accept him as her mate?? ONly time will tell. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Blake, a minotaur, is known for struggling with society's niceties, like almost all minotaurs. When he finds his mate, he has a hard time making contact with her and moves into her apartment building. When they finally start talking Sophie is a little worried, as her younger brother also is a minotaur and can be a lot of stress. Said younger brother is getting into trouble and it is up to Blake and his friends to help him out. An interesting story insofar as Blake is extremely anti-social and it is sometimes funny how he tries to be NICE to his mate and friends. An entertaining read. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. This was a fun read. There are a lot of moving parts, and as I had not read the previous books, sometimes confusing. Sophia and Blake's romance is slow to start up. Once it does, it progresses at a good speed. The other characters in the book are great in helping the story round out. Though I appreciated the different points of view, I was not able to piece the whole thing together till near the end. The book is funny in places, and throughout, Blake and Sophia's is a fun, enjoyable romance.
This is book 5 to the Shifter Enforcers and it’s a fantastic addition to this series it’s very well written with a fantastic storyline and great descriptions but Blake is a bit of a jerk he doesn’t know how to socialise or talk to people especially his mate Sophia. Blake has been stalking Sophia for about a year then he finally moves in next door to her. I’m not going to get too much into this story so read the blurb and that will give you the gist to this fantastic story I enjoyed it immensely and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.
2.5 stars Sometimes the lack of editing in books is so abundantly clear that it almost feels disrespectful to the reader. The constant issues with inconsistent tense and perspective took away from the story. I like the story itself but...I understand that self-publishing doesn't rake in the big bucks but as a reader I REALLY appreciate it when an author hires an editor. If you're not bothered by switching from past to present tense or 1st to 3rd person in the same paragraph you'll likely enjoy this more than I did.
This was book five of five in the Shifters Enforcers series. It was probably the least favorite of the series for me. The romance was fine, but the plot that ran through the whole series was kind of left dangling in my opinion. I would’ve liked to have had more detail about what that was and a better ending. Maybe the author is going to start a new series from that point of view, that perspective, because there were several loose ends. I also noticed that as a series progressed the sex scenes became less interesting.
Blake worked for a shifter division that worked with the police department and a Minotaur. Sophie owned and ran a coffee shop. Blake first saw Sophie he knew that she was his mate, so he rented an apartment from her to be close to her. Blake had been suspended so he was around Sophie more and then he told her how he felt. But at first she didn’t want it but then she figured that it was true. Blake found her brother for her and she decided to accept the mating bond. So they had a happy ending!!
Her younger brother Winston was a Minotaur. Sophia put herself between him and her plus sized neighbor Blake. Winston was a juvenile Minotaur. She would later discover that Blake was a fully mature one.
Blake was a currently suspended enforcer, suspended during review of his intervening between two addicts and a store clerk. The human responding officers had him shackled while they spent hours reviewing the action
Winston seems to be at the end of his troublesome years - they apparently mature around age 25. Sophia may be used to being her brother’s keeper, but some of his troubles seem to have grown along with him.
Interesting shifter romance since Minotaur’s only have one real chance at mating
Action packed steamy romance

I liked it. Thought there could of been more meat to it in the book. But it was great non the less. The plot was good and the lil suspense that was in it was great too. Blake is not the nicest guy in the neighborhood. But he's trying to get out more and be friendlier to those around him. Which is a hard thing considering he's a minotaur shifter. Then it doesn't help he's found his mate. Only will she like him or will she reject him?
I enjoyed this story from beginning to end. The world building and character development were great. I loved how Blake lost his grumpy demeanor around Sophia giving glimpses of his playful side. I also loved how patient he was as their relationship developed letting her grow comfortable with them being fated mates. This was the first book I read by this author but it won’t be the last.

This is an excellent story, but the ending seems to be a bit abrupt. There are lots of loose ends, and it really felt like the author thought, ok I’ve had enough and stopped.I have given this four stars because the story was interesting and engaging. I really liked Blake, I loved the whole Minotaur mythos, and Sophia was fun.

The five book in the Shifter Enforcers series a series that just gets better with each new book. Blake Latour is a Minotaur shapeshifter, enforcer, and bossy male. He knows that human Sophie Towers his landlady is his mate. Her brother Winston is a young man who gets himself into a lot of trouble. I enjoyed reading this story. I want to read the next book I hope Amanda is in it. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
The Minotaur Next Door by Erin St. Charles is an amazing story that I could not put down. This is book number five in this amazing series that I have loved reading and want to read more from this author. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about shifters, Sci-Fi and paranormal romances.

I really did not care for this one. I could not feel the chemistry between the Blake and Sophia. I actually liked Blake, I thought just because he was not social, it did not make him a mean person. I did feel that Sophia was a bitch. And for her to grow up in a shifter town she seem ignorant to what shifter mates meant. Also when he said he was gonna court her, i respected that but she did not really give him a fair chance. she kept lying and did not have any trust or faith in him.
Protective Blake is a Minotaur shifter and they are normally protective, but his nature is causing him troubles at his work, and his lack of social etiquette/graces is making it worse, especially when he wants to win Sophia over (the woman he thinks is his forever). He ruffles Sophia's brother's (Winston's) feathers, will this ruin his chances or improve them?

Is it really stalking if she's your fated mate? Sophie Towers is it for me--my fated mate. And as a minotaur shifter, I have one shot to get it right. The problem is, I have no game. Zero. Zilch.
Watch as this loser shifter gets the girl.

I'm beginning to enjoy minotaurs. They are so antisocial and raw. Blake was such a different person once he connected with Sophia. Another enjoyable trip to this world, loved the jeopardy and action.
