I was a bit disappointed. The idea itself was okay-ish but the storytelling was naive and people got punched way too many times, miraculously never suffering brain damage. In other words, it was too naive to be hardboiled (that's the genre where people get punched way too often for no reason). Hardly ever do I try to figure out whodunit myself, but in this book it was so obvious I knew it the moment the character first appeared. I even guessed there was an accomplice and identified them.

I had other issues as well, mainly to do with the physical book. I don't think the author had any say in what the Czech edition looked like, but as far as I understood she did call it something to do with a nun which is a huge misnomer - the victim was considering entering a convent and the murder happened outside of it. She was technically not a nun. Also, the front cover of the CZ edition implies that a novice was killed and it has something to do with the "mysterious history of the convent." To my surprise, the convent played no role whatsoever in the book. Sadly, the potential role of the convent's "mysterious history" was the primary reason I bought the book, so I was pretty mad. What kind of misbranding is this? Do they now let people who never read the book write the blurbs? Publishers, get your sh*t together...

Opět hrůza hrůzoucí. Stále ploché, odfláknuté, nelogické a opět bez sympatií k aspoň jediné postavě. Překlad jedna ohromná katastrofa, možná děsivější než v předchozí knize. Prvnímu dílu jsem dala dvě hvězdičky, aspoň něco se dalo snést, trochu světla v té černé tmě. Tady je to jasné peklo všech pekel. Další díl zkusím jen pro to, abych zjistila, jestli to i do třetice bude čiré autorské a překladatelské zlo....

Ganz spannend. Und die Charaktere sind sehr liebenswert. Allerdings weiß man leider viel zu früh wer denn nun der/die Bösewicht/e ist/sind. Aber ich werde auch den nächsten Teil lesen um zu sehen ob der Priester seinem Gelöbnis treu bleiben wird.

Pozitivem jsou: čtivý jazyk, krátké kapitoly a docela fajn nápad. Zbytek byl ale dost mizernej. Postavy byly plochý jak zeď, u Anny jsem celou dobu přemýšlela, jak to dotáhla do dospělosti, natožpak na hlavní postavu detektivky a celé to bylo chvílemi dost zkratkovité. Přečtu si i první díl, aby se neřeklo a celé sérii dám rychlé a bezbolestné vale.

Hodně zajímavá změna proti 1. dílu. Opět jednohubka, ale tentokrát pro mě v mnohem zajímavějším prostředí.
Anna v tomto případě odhaluje svou drsnější tvář, což se mi líbí a šikovný čtenář odhadne pachatele. ;)
