Garrett Andrews is two a god, and a person who knows how to get things done. And this time, he’ll have to put both things to the test because the new world he’ll visit is filled with dinosaurs with sharp teeth, vicious claws, and a taste for human flesh. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg because he also has to seed life on his home planet, combat a race of lizard people with incredible technology, and build a city with his bare hands. On the plus side, crafting a dungeon in the heart of a dying star is pretty damn fun. This book has not one, not two, not three, but four sex scenes. If that isn't your bag because you hate catgirls, then just read it anyway.
This was a good story, but when you compare it to the previous ones, there wasn't as much development or world building taking place.
We get some glimpses of what's happening through some POV changes, but that's the extent of it. Wishes there had been more focus on what made the first two books so solid for me.
I will say the cover art definitely did not disappoint. Once again, as soon as I started reading book 3, I couldn’t put it down. I’ve Spoken already in previous reviews how much scientific insight it’s author, Simon Archer, had to have researched in preparation for this series. The hard work shows and is very much appreciated. It, of course, also has lots more meta moments, one that had me pity the cat girls for having to know of a version of JarJar Binks, and the supreme chuckles of Garrett’s epic yell of “United States of Smash.” My time flew by as I enjoyed this read and before I knew it, the book was done. Though the final chapter had me cracking up as soon as I read it. It was a PERFECT chapter to end this book on. Time for me to start book 4 with enthusiasm.
This new book I was a little disappointed on, for the same reason I stopped reading the wandering engineer. The reason for that is that the author chooses to use bleat ins derivative plots enhancements, and I would strongly urge this author to tool that back a bit, nothing wrong with doing it here or thereit's actually enjoyable, and I like the previous two books. In this case, every other chapter has something taken out of the real world blatantly or a slightly changed name, which resulted in almost dread as to what next would occur. It's truly a shame as this was an enjoyable series previous to this.
Another well written book with plenty of action and the odd sexy time 😉 but overall this gets better and better with the MC actually improving and becoming more likeable. Queenie is still my No.1 but the cat girls are quite fun as well and I look forward to seeing Cera develop.
There are odd errors in there (I like to report to hopefully help) but they don’t distract from a nicely flowing plot and developing universe. Read the series you’ll enjoy them 😁
I managed to get through all of the inconsistencies and super annoying and dated pop references in the first two books, but Power Rangers is where I draw the line.
I started this book with an honest intention of giving the author another shot to change my mind. And then the MC and his squad turn into Power Rangers. If I could I would give the book a 0.
What could be better than sharktopuses and Cthulhu-esque monsters? Dinosaurs getting thrown into the mix! A little light on the stats side of things, but what’s there is very well done. Lighter on the building side of things compared to previous entries, but made up for with almost non-stop action instead. Great read
The fun, magic, science, and lore just keep on coming, intermixed in such a combination that it just works. And though I'm happy to have read such great books I'm sad that I'm about to start the 4th book and last one currently finished... keep up the great work!
This one gets down right silly There are more jokes and pure whimsy in this one. Also a clever conversation about story recaps at the start of books in a series. The pop culture references branch out from TV & movies to include other harem series and even dungeon core books. The most clearly comedy book of the series so far. + star for the Orc Pirate cameo.
Every single one of the books in the series I have found myself laughing and wanting to show other people sections of the books that I thought were funny I truly recommend these books because they are amazing and hilarious
I like this literal works building aspect. I honestly skipped most of the sex stuff, wasn't important to the story but i get that is the series thing. Nbd. Looking forward to Future progression
The book was fine. The character interplay was fine. The story was fine. None of it was surprising or unexpected. Book was fine but I need better if I am to be expected to continue the series. We'll see. The next one must be better and not mundane as this one is.
Always like Simon's books he has a good story that is entertaining and keeps you waiting for the next. It does have adult content he tells you this before hand so don't complain.
This installment of the forger of worlds books along with the two previous was fantastic and I loved reading them. Keep up the spectacular work, and I’ll be here for the next one.
Overall it was fun to read but just did not get engaged in this book as much as I did the previous books. The development of the characters was good and I enjoyed the book.
Ok this was a fun book to read. Got more world building and a bit of godly intervention. Absolutely love the final chapter. It was the icing on the cake.
The author keeps mixing solar system with galaxy and plays football with Dyson spheres does he realize how big that is he is writing about stuff that he has no clue
