Anna had never met an Alpha...until the day her city fell to an Uncorrupted attack. Injured, loaded with pain-suppressants, and exhausted after a night spent fleeing, it was the worst possible time to find herself plastered against a man like Hudson....And the worst possible time to reveal her Omega dynamic. She can't tear her gaze away from the big, intimidating man, who makes his lack of interest clear.
Two years later, and Hudson has been allocated as Anna's Controller. Neither of them is happy. But neither of them has a choice. And being forced to work together, might just break them both.
In a secret garden hidden behind a wall of shrubs and trees amid a tiny English village, you'll find L.V. Lane's writing den, where she crafts spicy adventures...Magical and mythical creatures, wolf shifters, and alphas of every flavor give our sweet, sometimes willful omegas and heroines a guaranteed HEA. In addition to the dystopian omegaverse twist this series offers, this installment offers a little second chance element. Hudson and Anna met a couple years prior during the overtaking of Anna's hometown and Hudson "rejects" her. Although in book one Logan made a comment that Hudson only goes for voluptuous blondes when what he really wants is a petite brunette. And guess who's petite and brunette...
Delicious. Hudson was my favorite brand of alpha hole and I just loved him. I am also really loving this series world and omega/controller set up.
Not sure how I feel about Lili's story taking four books. But let's find out.
Alphas who care nothing about what their omegas want for their lives? *me (a feminist) giving it 5 stars*
Idk why I think I'm a feminist when I keep giving these books 5 stars just because LV Lane has become my nomination for dirty talk professor🧐 if any of the mysognists in my past saw my goodreads I would be screwed
They had met when he rescued her three years before, she was little more than a child and she didn't understand her dynamic. She's now a little more experienced, better able to manage her attraction to him. The H is fantastic, so tough, and he cannot manage his attraction, he really cares for her. Very fast, action packed balanced with steamy interactions. Just loved it.
Excellent follow-up to book one of the series. This is a story of Hudson whom we met in book one and Anna (Kitten) who is a healer. I adored this couple just as much as Logan and Eloise. Hunter is pure alpha dominance and a natural controller, but he also truly cares for his Omega. I was really curious to get to know Anna's character since healers were mentioned (and not too favorably) in book one. I loved how Ms. Lane let us in to see Anna's inner turmoil as she is torn between her love of healing and her struggle to accept her subservient dynamic. This book is not only scorching hot but also has an engaging plot and a cast of intriguing supporting characters whose stories I can't wait to read.
I have a hard time understanding how someone can find a personality like Hudson's attractive. He belittles Anna very often, is consciously mean to her, manipulates her ... yuck. One passage struck me: Anna reflects and says that when she is not under the control of an alpha, she can think for herself and abhor certain aspects of being an omega. But when an alpha controls her, she loses what little independence she has. The story can well specify that it is linked to her biology, it still looks a little too much like an abusive relationship. When I read these kinds of novels (which feature clearly macho, patriarchal tropes), I wonder how much we women end up incorporating patriarchal fantasies. I'm sure some of our fantasies wouldn't exist if we lived in a more egalitarian culture. I'm not saying that we wouldn't have "violent" fantasies (being tied up, being kidnapped, etc.), but that wouldn't go as far as fantasizing about living in a world where women are sexual objects and are ok with the fact that men can use them as they please. I've read very harsh erotic novels that don't make me cringe like this one (and many others). Total domination is not mutually exclusive with respect and self-respect.
I was so happy to see Hudson get his book. He is the epitome of an alpha. His dynamic with Anna was fantastic. She might be a sweet healer omega but she is no push over.
A well worth pre-order! I could not put this down! This is the 2nd book in this series and this time we are introduced to the Healer Omega, Anna. Her controller 'Hudson' is as Alpha as they come!
The book is full of yummy dark fantasies and a heavy load of erotica. In other words, just my cup of tea. Be warned though - this book might make you squirm in places, make you slightly shift positions...so don't read it in a public place. ;)
In this 2nd book we also take a look at a new dynamic - the Mu, although very short, we do meet a couple of them and some descriptions are made so we understand them better. After all the Omega universe in general only consists of Alpha/Beta/Omega, and this new Author has added some new dynamics like the Mu ++.
The plot was easy flowing, there was a good amount of action - we are after all in the middle of a warzone for most of the book, it was easy to follow and I felt like I had all the information I needed throughout the book - I never felt lost or wondering how "how did that happen?".
One of the things that bother me though if I were to be critical, is that there (again) is no knotting going on in this book. To me, this is almost considered "unnatural" to read an Omegaverse M/F that does not have knotting between the Omega and her Alpha. I keep waiting for it, but it didn't happen, and that is disappointing. However, it is mentioned in the book this time so it does exist in the Authors universe, I guess she just didn't include it - which is such a shame. I feel the book could be even better if it was included.
Despite my criticism of there not being any knotting, this is a great addition to the Alpha/Omega M/F universe. The author is new and I feel there is great potential! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this book.
It is the 2nd book though - and even though they are stand alone, I do recommend reading book 1 first, because it does help make more sense of things.
L.V. Lane definitely stepped up her game when writing Complete Control. Many of the things that I felt were missing in Taking Control were included here. I'm not taking any credit for that as the author had already written 8 books by the time I came to this series!
We had several chapters from Hudson's POV, allowing us to get a feel of his personality, and we got much more story too. The plot in Taking Control felt rather rushed and hurried, squashed into the last quarter, whereas it flowed throughout the entirety of this book. I felt more invested in these characters due to seeing them interacting in a variety of settings. Plus we got to see Anna at work as a healer, as well as experience more of the war and the role of the controller on more than a sexual level.
Anna seemingly never really spoke to anyone other than Hudson, and briefly to a recruiter, which is something I hope doesn't become a theme of the books. However a theme I do very much enjoy is that the omegas all seem to have a strong and determined personality, despite how much the alpha's in charge try to suppress them. They have sass in abundance along with an ability to snare their big, bad Alpha's hearts.
I'm looking forward to reading the follow up book but need to read Lilly, Ethan and Ryker's story first.
Alpha Controller v Omega Healer – Not all love stories begin smoothly…
Our FMC Anna (aka Kitten) has never met an Alpha. For her first eighteen years she has lived a quiet and sheltered life with her unremarkable parents and siblings. She has not yet revealed a dynamic and knows nothing of Alpha/Omega relationships.
Hudson, brash and unforgiving Team Leader and Alpha brute. We met him in book one when his team was tasked with rescuing a government minister with vital information on the Copper virus. Not many would cross him, even his own crew jump when he talks.
Hudson finds Anna in a destroyed building. She has been hiding from an Uncorrupted crew that is part of the force ripping her home planet apart. She has been separated from her family and on the run for the better part of the night. After Hudson and his team make short work of the Uncorrupted crew trying to capture Anna, he spies her in between a stack of tables and chairs and coaxes her out. Shortly after, Anna reveals as an Omega and the fun really begins.
After some initial tension between Anna and Hudson, he decides that she must be disciplined for her own good. He roughly spanks her and this brings on some rather distressing sexual feelings for her. After a brief yet comforting growl from Hudson, he places Anna on the floor to kneel at his feet in a submissive manner. She looks at the bulge between his legs and he advises her that this is not for her, ever. Anna’s lesson is learned and she is changed irrevocably by these events. She is shipped off to an Omega colony for training.
Two years pass before Hudson and Anna meet again and their initial attraction flares again when Hudson is allocated as her Controller. She fights this, thinking he does not care for her at all, but this is not actually the case. Hudson has not been able to get the little Omega out of his mind for two years. Thus begins their journey and adventure. Heat level and growl factor in this book rush to fire starter levels as the two personalities clash, but there was never really a choice, for either of the. Hudson really does care and when he finally realises this the moment is rather poignant. I love an Alpha in love!
Great plot and character development add to the brilliant world building. You can almost smell the aggression coming off the pages when the Alpha moves to Control mode. Amazing!
Usual warnings for Alpha/Omega power exchange, spankings and high level explicit scenes that are totally mouthwatering. Five Stars.
I read Complete Control and found myself breathless so many times throughout the book! Hudson meets Anna when he rescues her from a group of enemy soldiers who are trying to abduct her. From the moment Hudson walked into the scene, I was totally entranced by him. He was commanding, yes, but also sort of blustery in an OTT way. I got the inkling that what he projected to the world and to Anna also covered up a need to be caring and not wanting to be seen as vulnerable in any way? I was also completely captivated by Anna, a young, sweet girl, who reveals later to be an Omega healer. She is passionate about her calling as a Healer. She is kind and loving, but a little introverted and naïve. Once he sees her safely placed at his headquarters, he can tell she is fascinated by him. But he rebuffs her, knowing how young and inexperienced she is. Two years later, he is assigned to be her Controller. The heat ramps up from there between them. And it never lets up til the end of the book. Hudson does his best to keep Anna under his thumb. He’s still pushy and gruff. Anna, as an Omega, usually does knuckle under to him. But by the end of the book I think you can see she is learning that his bark is often worse than his bite. I can’t wait to read more about Hudson and Anna in Absolute Control. If you’ve read any of the author’s other Control books, you will definitely want to dig into this one too: Complete Control, a 5-star read!
Way better than the first book. I was left with a lot of questions after reading the first book, which was mostly just sex and no substance, but this book actually had more of a story to it. We also learned more about the Omegaverse and the Copper Virus. I liked Anna, she was so much better than Eloise from the first book, who was annoying and a doormat. I liked that Anna had some sass. I loved Hudson. He was HOT and the sex scenes between him and Anna were even hotter. I’m really looking forward to the next 3 books, which are all about Lilly!
This book is steamy hot but not for everyone, especially if you're not into spanking and daddy control. Although, the Omegas don't call their controllers daddy, their relationship is very daddy/daughter. It's still a fast and fun read with another twist to the Omegaverse.
This one had a bit more of a story, but I’m still having a hard time with the punishment and how it is always sexual. I think maybe it’s not my thing, as it reminds me of a Dom/sub relationship. I also don’t like that when she says no to doing something sexual (anal) he still makes her do it, but it’s ok because she ends up enjoying it, even though it hurts her.
The writing is good and the plot is interesting, but I really don’t like this series. I blame myself, not the author. It’s just not for me. The heroine is weak and easily gives in to the the hero. There’s no real struggle. I like my characters to have a bit more depth. I can’t seem to get to the ending and the entire series is only a little over 100 pages!!
Nope nope nope !!! Spanking an 18 yo young woman that has been on the run all night, has been seriously injured, has been pursued by enemy soldiers and has witnessed extreme violence up close because she didn’t obey your orders fast enough ??? And everyone just deems it acceptable ? That's just a NO for me…
I thought the premise was interesting, but what was missing for me was just a touch of romance. Maybe it's because the story was short; it just didn't feel like a complete story and I wasn't able to connect with either of them.
Second book in the series and finish it in one sitting, I think I get the hang out of this series. Or atleast a little bit more than the first book😂
We meet Hudson from the first book. He is that grouchy scary team leader. And Anna is an omega healer.
Reading the first book, I was stunned. A world where a virus was release to enhanced human ability. Boxing people to different phisical and mentally ability. The Alpha who's strong and have bigger size with dominant nature. The omega with more delicate form, more nurturing and submissive nature.
Seriously if it happen in the real world, I would freak out. Cause in this world of omegaverse, the women/the omega who are saying to be precious, are treated no more than sex slave. And they can't even do anything about it cause apparently that submissive runs in their DNA.
But since this happen in fictional world, where a Dominant Alpha is the controller of Omega and investment mean intimacy between them are encourage to strength the protection for her and that's mean also the Alpha are allowed to discipline her in anyway he find fit.... I'll say bravo for the author for her naughty minds😂
Because seriously the dom/sub relationship between Anna and Hudson are crazy hot. Between these two, the steamy scenes are hot. And if this isn't the heat moment, I wonder how hot they can be when they are in heat😂 Still need longer pages to build their chemistry to love though. For I wanna smack Hudson head so hard for what he said to her on their first meeting and she just discovered she's definitly an omega. That a*hole need grovelling so bad😂
With that being said, a fair warning for you who doesn't like a hard dirty Dom who like to punish his kitten sub. And if you can't separate the difference between real life and fiction.... Don't read this book
Anna meets Logan for the first time when she is still a non-dynamic, but during a subsequent attack on her city and the stress of escaping, she reveals as an Omega for the first time. This is where she gets her nickname, Kitten. It is a great meet-cute. While Logan disciplines her for the first time, he also rebuffs her, and since then, she has had a chip on her shoulder about him while secretly fantasizing about him.
What I loved was seeing how Logan ceding power to Anna still didn't result in her being very satisfied with their relationship, and clearly showed Logan manipulating her even at that point. Those scenes were so hot, basically topping from the bottom, even though Logan was always on top.
We also got to see the events of Tolis from a different perspective. It gave me a better sense of how the different types of omegas are used within battle, and how the omegas are trained and controlled in battle. Also, there is a bit of insight into how normalized public displays of sex and dominance is within their society, especially when it comes to controlling omegas. They mention, for instance, the laws that will require alpha controllers for all omegas, and the continuing injustice that omegas feel about that. I wish that the books would later also show Ethan as a team lead on Orla, but not sure if that would be redundant to other things in the series.
This was a great little side story that adds to the Lilly's main story, even though it's a precursor to her books in the series.
For now, I gave this story 4 stars. It's worth a read, but I'd still go for Lilly's stories first before these books. The overall series is worth it if you love omegaverse in a sci-fi dystopian galactic setting.
Book #2 old series, Book #3 in the new updated numbering system.
YOU KNOW WHAT'S THE SAD PART ABOUT THIS SERIES? THE AUTHOR NEVER WRITES ABOUT THE KNOTTING....EVEN IF THERE WAS AN INSINUATION WITH WORDS. THAT'S SAD, BECAUSE FOR ME AN OMEGAVERSE STORY WON'T BE COMPLETE WITHOUT THE GOOD OL' KNOTTING.
HUDSON first met the love of his life when he rescued her at 18. No thanks to the law, he couldn't exactly claim her then and had to let her go. 2 years later, he's assigned as her Controller but for all his bitching, he's actually relieved that she's back in his life, his to control, his to fuck and his to knot. This installation had the same plot formula as the first, but somehow I'm not really complaining because the sex was hot. Though I won't say that the characters were very 3-Dimension, they still lacked depth.
ANNA fell in love with Hudson at the tender age of 18 when he rescued her. That night, her dynamic decided to reveal itself and she somehow 'imprinted' on him and after he left, no other Controller could make her feel what Hudson did. Until, one day they meet again and this time, the rules don't apply and she's struggling to cope with his brutish, possessive ways and also regain a piece of her old self that never stopped admiring him.
OVERALL it was a school girl's crush kind of romance but with a edgier tone to it. The main highlight honestly would just be the passion and steam between Anna and Hudson, because frankly all that action just seemed like a booster to help the story along.
In the second novel of Miss Lane’s Controller Series we are treated to a glimpse of another Omega and Alpha Dynamic. This one involves Anna the enigmatic Hudson. Anna, the Omega, who is defiant of her talents and the feelings they give her. Hudson, the tough Alpha who doesn’t want to give her his heart. Both are thrown together early Anna’s city is under attack by the Undefined. The war came right to her doorstep. Separated from her family, Anna has to fend for herself. Little does she know it would lead her to a strong and burly soldier named Hudson. Or what their meeting would lead to. Jump forward two years. Anna’s Omega Dynamic has been revealed. She is a Healer. She is being sent to a mission on Sidious, one of Empire’s planets in desperate need of her talents. Anna is just waiting for her Controller. As the Recruiter's door opens she hears his voice. It can’t be him. Yes it is. Hudson. The soldier that saved her, and awoke those feelings she still has to deal with. This time she has no choice but to listen, and obey. Such is the role of an Omega. Can Hudson get his Complete Control of Anna? Will she give him her Investment?
Alphas! They expect and want nothing but complete control! They will have it one way or another, the choice was never yours to make.
Anna was a normal 18 year old girl. One night she was forced to grow up and everything changed. Anna revealed as an Omega with healing powers. She couldn’t be more happier that her dream was coming true. The downside to revealing as an Omega was that you were assigned a controller. She felt once that happened, your life was no longer your own and you had to submit to it.
Hudson was a solider that did his job well. During his recent job, he came across and rescued a small little kitten. From that day forward, he didn’t know the changes that were soon to follow. He wasn’t use to his Omegas disobeying orders but so help him, he was damn good at delivering their punishments. 2 years ago he denied her, 2 years later...she is HIS!
I’m so in love with The Controllers series. It’s like each one keeps getting better than the last! I have so many book boyfriends that I’m beginning to think I have a problem! This series will do that to you. I love learning all the new things when it comes to the world of Alphas and Omegas.
Do yourself a favor and start this amazing series!

The more of this series I read the better it gets 🖤 and the Controllers just get gruffer and more ‘controlling’
I absolutely loved the dynamic between Hudson and Anna. Hudson was just…. I literally have no words for him haha 😂 other than I loved him so so much 🖤
Anna and Hudson meet after an invasion where Anna lives. After that initial meeting everything changes for Anna and after a few years they are thrown back together. Well this is where those fireworks start going off 😉
I really am enjoying the storyline of this series and the dystopian style world the author has created. It’s very different to other OV style books as it’s definitely on the dark side 🖤
The Controllers are there to ‘Control’ their Omegas in anyway they see fit….. due to this there are a lot of triggers so please read them before you dive in. I have no triggers when it comes to books and the darker the better so these are right up my street 🖤
This story is extremely spicy 🥵 but with other things going on too due to being a war torn world.
I can’t wait to read everything in this series. I’m addicted and read them so fast as I honestly can’t put them down 🖤
3.5 stars Complete Control by L.V. Lane definitely held my attention! I did not read book 1, Taking Control, first. Anna's city is attacked by the Uncorrupted (the bad guys) and after running and hurting herself, is saved by Hudson, an Alpha. Anna ends up revealing her Omega dynamic for the first time. 2 years later, Anna is a Healer and Hudson becomes her Controller for a mission, much to both of their dismays. The chemistry between Anna and Hudson was amazing, and they were both clearly fighting it. I liked the idea of the story, I think I would have understood a lot more had I read book 1. The ending was confusing for me because it felt like they had come full circle, but I still didn't know where they stood emotionally with each other. This is a series, so hopefully there'll be more Anna and Hudson and the larger plot and problems that were in Complete Control get resolved. Overall, I really enjoyed reading this, it was definitely an erotic romance, and the plot was pretty easy to follow. 3.5 stars
This book was still very good but not as good as the others so far. It felt like a really long intro into the next set of books. Or just a buffer between the first book and Lillys books. I was actually interested in what Logan and his team left to go do more than what Anna and Hudson were doing. I also thought there was a missed opportunity to gain insight into the uncorrupted. I dont want to drop any spoilers but I think it's pretty obvious what I'm talking about when you getting to that part.
As far as character development goes, it was a little thin, especially compared to the other books. I liked Anna fine, I felt Hudson was a little lacking in depth. I preferred Logan from the last book. Or maybe even Woodrow from the prequel.
Still a very solid book. Maybe a little short but with KU I dont really care about that at all. Definitely still interested in seeing Ethan and Ryker. I kinda feel like this whole series so far were prequels to Lilys book, especially this one.
As if I didn't think these alphas could get dirtier (both inside and outside the bedroom) with their games, along comes Hudson and proves that these alphas have many many tricks up their dirty sleeves 😂 poor Anna didn't stand a chance, I don't think anyone would!
Hudson saves Anna during an attack which triggers her Awakening as an omega, he makes it clear he's not for her, he's too much for her, she'll never handle what he gives, but oh how fate has another thing in mind..
Thrust together on a mission which I don't think is entirely up to date I think Hudson was playing the long game all along 😏
Anna craves the control, even as she tries to fight against it, and these two together were just perfection, but I don't think this is the end of their story... 👀 I feel like maybe the need something to keep the balance between them 👀👀
